I went last night to watch the Super Bowl. I got lucky getting a seat at the bar. Thank god i was solo because in town again for business. The bartender was very nice. Plenty of TVs but the sound wasn’t loud enough. Good Bud Light beer specials for $ 4.50 for a 22oz glass and they have the largest options of different beers from all over the country. Pretty awesome when you think about it. But the food was just terrible. Ordered the Chicken nachos. Not enough pico or vegetables. Thought it was pretty bland. Also never order the buffalo wings and fries. Both were dry and no flavor. I would go back just to watch games and a beverage but never to eat.

After placing an order online, I still had to wait 30 minutes after scheduled pick up time. How embarrassed was I when my guest bit into the wings and they were under-cooked(bloody). I returned the wings the next day and was told the general manager would call me and process my refund. 2 weeks later… no one has called or refunded my money. Never again!

I went with a couple friends on a(relatively) slow Wednesday to watch a basketball game. We arrived about 30 minutes before tipoff, and told the host which game we wanted to watch. After meandering around trying to figure out which TV we would be able to watch the game on, they gave us a booth with a TV above it, promising that it would be switched to our game. The server came by, and we asked for waters and a few minutes to decide on beers. One of our group also ordered a chicken wrap. We again reiterated our request for the game to be put on the TV. Twenty minutes to tipoff. One person’s beer was mysteriously not available. The pitcher I ordered managed to fit in a pint glass.(A remarkable feat of fluid engineering, I guess.) When I asked«what’s this» while gesturing to the pint glass, the server brusquely replied, «it’s your beer.» I hate to rain on his parade, but when I reminded him that I had asked for a pitcher, his reply was even better: «No, you didn’t.» Maybe it was the 3 – 1 vote(all of us against him) that convinced him that the error was his, but he snatched away the glass and stormed off to retrieve the pitcher. And the game? Still not on. Ten minutes to tipoff. Eight minutes later, still no beer, still no food, and the TV is still blindly blinking away airing some broadcast nobody seems interested in, least of all the guy sitting underneath it who actually came in to watch something on it. A manager(or someone acting as such) stopped by and asked«is everything great for you tonight?» Well, let’s see. No food, no beers, no game. «Lucy, you got some splainin to do.» We’ve been asking for almost thirty minutes, and I’ve resorted to using the Watch ESPN app on my phone, lest I miss the start of the game. She tells me that this is the first she’s heard of our request for the game. Then what did the host and server do with our request? Clearly, nothing. Within minutes, and seconds before tipoff, the beer(both the pitcher and the errant glass) and the game magically appear. Clearly our server was asleep at the switch. After the management wake up call, service was ok, but I shouldn’t have to ask at least six times for a game. Twice, maybe, but not five times, and not for thirty minutes on a slow Wednesday night.

The service was well below average the night I was here. Food was deceit as I had the queso with all the toppings. Good selection of beers. Half the time my beer was served in a warm glass as the restaurant had a hard time keeping up with fresh glassware even though I was drinking the same beer. Our particular bar tender was not attentive at all. She seemed to wander around and not keep up with her assigned area. One patron actually yelled at her because they wanted a another glass of wine and she did not check in with them for 20 minutes. Luckily I was there watching a game and had plenty of time to wait for drinks and food. My advice be aware and make sure you get the servers attention and keep track of your order.

The only reason I gave this pathetic excuse of a restaurant a star is because I had to in order to write this review. Overall, I have always had great service and experiences with Taco Mac… then we tried this location. We ordered food via grub hub(a lot of food for multiple people) and once it arrived, we noticed one of the meals was missing as well an appetizer. We called to see if they could deliver the missing items. The first idiot we spoke with told us they had ‘86ed’ the menu item missing. but never let grub hub or us know, just didn’t make the item. Then proceeded to hang up on us after we asked to speak to the manager. Icing on the cake. they still charged our credit card. We called back and spoke to a female bartender, who offered us the corporate phone number to call but then conveniently lost it when we asked for it. And Sue ‘the general manager’ wouldn’t come to the phone. After the absolutely disgraceful customer service, we will never be using this location again. Taco Mac, you are pathetic, employ some good, hardworking people, not the poor excuses you currently have

Nice place to go if you’re in the mood for classic Southwest & American dishes. They have an awesome drink menu, including beer. What stood out to me is the very comfortable and big booths, with plenty of elbow room. If you would like the privacy of a booth but have a few folks with you, fits like a glove.

Taco Mac strikes again! My chicken was raw. and I didn’t notice until I was halfway done. Last time this happened, I got food poisoning. I may or may not get poisoned this time. Fingers crossed. #unhealthy #unsanitary #poorService Don’t eat there. You are what you eat. Respect your body enough to ban taco Mac and other bar food junk.

There was a long wait for the server to come to the table. He stopped by the table after 10 minutes as we were getting ready to walk out. He took a drink order which took 20 more minutes to come out. The alcoholic drinks here are weak. 3 drinks were sent back for this reason. Food was good had 2 orders of wings and a quesadilla. 1st time going to a taco mac. Indecisive about giving a 2nd chance.

I had the Caesar salad and it was good but there was way too much dressing. It was more like dressing with a side of salad. My boyfriend had the lemon pepper and buffalo wings. They were nice and meaty. The flavor was good — it wasn’t too overpowering and it wasn’t under-seasoned. They have a wide selection of wing flavors ranging in hotness. If you’re in a group you can split the bigger sizes and do different flavors which is awesome. However, you can’t split the kinds of wings that you get so you have to all have either original, roasted, or boneless.

Imma on the fence between 3* and 2* but since Erica was awesome, I’ll round up. As one of the umpteem million servers who has worked at a Taco Mac(seriously– we pretty much all have at some point, for better or for worse), I have a specific perspective. Not much surprised me today, good or bad. I sat at the bar for lunch and Erica was great. Food was — eh — my first order, the roasted LPW were overcooked, and she got me new(original/fried) ones quickly. A few other customers had issues with timing/cooking/etc, as I peeked around. Mgt was mostly decent on follow up with all of us. My re-done wings were good and the service was great. It still grates on me(ha) that I had to stand through uniform inspections where my socks were examined for matching blackness and length — then to be a cust who had to have wings redone…#focus #priorities…anyhoo This TMac is kinda modern compared to others(not the coolest, most mod updo per my last knowledge), but overall a good, clean, cool, spot. I’m not in this area for lunch often but today those remade wings worked, and it was a pleasant spot for a midday nosh.

It kind of sucks that I even have to give it a star. I come here ALLTHETIME, literally, at least 3 – 4 times a month. I’ve never had any issues with service, ever. Basically, if you go to the bar to get a drink, and switch to a table after paying for your drinks, you won’t get greeted. We sat at the bar, ordered drinks and after a good 7 – 10 minutes we realized service was gonna be slow. So we decided to switch to a table. We put $ 15 cash on the bar to pay for our $ 11-$ 12 tab. I went to the hostess to seat us, which she did, in a quick manner. We sat there, and sat there… and sat there. I’d say a good 10 – 15 minutes passed by. We were constantly being passed by servers and even TWO managers, yet no one came over. Much to my dismay, me and my date decided to leave after no greet. Very disappointed tonight. After constant happiness with this place, they let me down. Shame, shame.

Came here with a group of friends for dinner. We got nachos and wings. The nachos were covered in a bed of shredded carrots and tomatoes, so we got our veggie nutrition checked for the night hahas. The star of the night were the wings, which were fried very nicely — crispy skin and juicy meat inside. The fries were alright. All of this does get kind of heavy after awhile, but it’s to be expected for sportsbar food. Of course there are plenty of huge tv screens for you to view the ongoing games or serve as new group conversation topics. Great service too.

This is my first time EVER posting a restaurant review, positive or negative… My experience here is something I will never forget. I have @ 25 years of restaurant industry background, from hole in the wall mom and pops to corporate establishments, banquets, bar an service staff… And more. How do you operate a @$#& «neighborhood» «Cheers» place when the tap water looks like skim milk and two out of three managers just started, and none of the constantly revolving new hires know how to use the POS system… The GM is awesome, but her crew is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorcycle! You train yourself basically. The best thing I ever did was run from this place. Oh. .and the parking??? Hahaha… Get booted… towed…or pay $ 75 a month for a secured spot. ??? I’ve seen more organization in a hurricane evacuation.

This place has really lost it… They have literally messed up our food every time we have came which use to be once a week… It’s a good place to watch the game but they need to improve the kitchen(evening)!!! Update!!! I don’t really know how to say this without being harsh… Management need to invest more in their cooks and little more for training for their servers because it’s a shame to have such a nice establishment and the food sucks… And our waiter was not attentive at all… The food took forever and it’s yet another disappointment… They can’t get the nachos right, they can’t cook a burger, and the wings were not even good tonight!!! Then on top of that, not being serviced well!!! The hostess was really nice though… I really don’t know what has happened to this place from when we first started coming here!!! There are so many other places in Atlanta so I guess I’ll to find me another go to spot!!! Smh!!!

I joined a friend here for a few drinks one early afternoon this week upon the recommendation of a chef in Nashville. We went for the beer selection and definitely were not disappointed. A crazy large group of beers on draft. Sadly, we didn’t try anything off the menu. But really thrilled with the draft list.

For some reason I made it back here because someone NEEDED to visit Taco Mac… Anyways, service was again horrendous. Read my other two reviews of the place and it was the same this time… If someone mentions they want visit this place, I will go out of my way to make sure they don’t go. There are too many nice places to eat in Midtown to be ignored and treated like you’re intruding for being there…

Service is probably the worst it can get. 20 minutes after sitting to even get our order taken. Asked for water refills, took another 10 minutes. In case you’re thinking«well maybe they were busy, dick», they weren’t. We were a table of 2 out of maybe 3 or 4 tables.

Service was good. Kennan was on the job and handled a semi busy area with seamless service. The food– was about a 5 — seriously. The burger I ordered was sent back once. And it came BACK without the fixins like tomato pickle and properly sliced onions as well as being over cooked. I was too shy to send the burger back again so between the two of us it was eaten slow and with regret. I guess that is what prayer is for(lol) Ummmm what else — the roasted mushrooms about a 5 as well. They were served with the stems and every chef knows that is a «no, no!» They were super tiny as well so we ate more stem than shroom. The lemonade was good. This was a non alcohol night for the two of us so our thinking on writing this review was not impaired whatsoever. Happy dining!

I came with a couple of friends to watch the big fight on Saturday. Well, first of all, turns out they weren’t showing the fight. That’s fine. We went really early and the Clippers/Spurs game was on and we also wanted to watch that. Apparently Taco Mac, or T. Mac, is rebranding as more of a family establishment, shying away from the traditional sports bar feel. Personally, I don’t see many changes besides the name and the fact that they weren’t showing the fight. Go figure. This Taco Mac is one of those places where you don’t want to hate because everyone is really nice, but you do because everything kind of sucks. First off, TV placement. Unless you are at a bar, I think all the TVs are at really strange angles that are not optimal for viewing. Also, I would assume you would put the largest TV farther away so more tables can see it, and the smaller TVs closer to the tables. Our service was terribly slow for such a light night. My order came out wrong, which wasn’t actually that big of a deal. We had to wait 30+ minutes for our check(after my friend approached management) and our waitress only came by once after we received food to check on us. The food is typical bar food. I got the chicken avocado bacon sandwich. This was probably the most difficult sandwich I’ve ever eaten. It comes as an open-faced hoagie but there is no way to actually close to sandwich. Flavors were fine. Nothing to write home about. This is definitely not my bar of choice or dining establishment of choice. The best part about Taco Mac is Thursday pint nights and possibly their wings. I do really like the wings. Overall, would I go back to a Taco Mac? Yes. This one? …eeeehhh. Probably not.

I may give this place 2.5 stars as it does have a lot of large screen tvs(although I prefer the Decatur location), is quite large so it can accommodate a lot of folks and big groups, easy to park in the garage(although the parking validation is only for an hour and we still had to pay $ 3 for the extra 30 mins we were there). Food is eh(not quite meh, but definitely eh). What does that mean — well — it’s «ok», but nothing special. Wings are ok and I don’t mind the pepper on the fries, but folks in my group didn’t like it. There is a variety of burgers, wings, and salads which is fine, but I guess we are there to drink and watch the game. As for the drinks, there is an overwhelming choice of beers and even an addendum that shows the new arrivals and ones that they are already out of. Unfortunately, that page is very wrong. It took our server 3 times to come back and tell us that the new arrivals that we wanted to try«hadn’t been tapped yet and there wasn’t room to do so yet». I’m not sure really sure what the strategy is in hyping us up on all these awesome new beers to try and then literally having to dash down our hopes not 1 or 2, but 3 times. It almost became a joke at this point and we were ready to have a PBR. They just needed to get their Sh*t together. Anyway, we had an ok and I still tipped 20%, but we aren’t running back there any time soon. There are too many other very good sports bars in town to go here again. Bummer cause I was so impressed by the Decatur location when I was there last year.
