Their food is average and not horrible in taste. When it comes to their customer service, it needs some major improvement from wait staff to management. It’s been a common occurrence for appetizers to be served with the entrée, have to ask others for refills on beverages, receive attitudes from certain waitstaff and so-called«management». I do recommend the Buckhead location much more than Midtown.

2 ½ stars: Not bad. If you’re into beer then it would be the perfect place to eat for really cheap and try different beers! Food was just ok to me. Came here to try out their happy hour for my blog but it really isn’t even happy hour because prices are the same on the regular menu. I sat at the bar and service was good. I ordered the grass fed beef slider which was cooked perfectly(medium +) but lacked seasoning, the bbq chicken slider was tasty, and the garlic fries were pretty good too.

«Salt deficiency» is not a common problem with people, but this place unequivocally will guarantee your sodium intake will be off the charts when you leave. Not only was our food late arriving, even though we explicitly told our nonchalant, inept waiter that we needed to be on our way within 70 minutes. When the manager arrived at our table to apologize for the delay, our window of departure, became obsolete. «Being too busy» is a phase many establishments would marvel; but this restaurant accepts it with a grain of salt and its management that needs to step up its game in every aspect, distilling the importance vs. the status quo.

It wasn’t the food. Food was ok. But we were charged an extra 5 $ on our credit card couple of days later. Tried to speak with the manager to verify the amount charged and discuss what happened. The manager was supposed to call me back, but didn’t. Little did they do to look into the situation and clarify. Simply unhappy.

We held my mother’s 50th birthday celebration here. Everything was amazing. Chris, the event planner was so kind, accommodating, and helpful. The staff was grade A and our server was on point and kind! They made this day so easy and special for us. Everyone was pleased with their food, good and hot, and big portions so it was a great value. We will definitely be back here to just to eat on a «regular day.» Also highly recommended for parties and events. The only small hiccup that was annoying, but not enough to break the overall experience was that I called in advance to check about valet parking and was told that valet is complimentary before 3PM(even on weekends). Our event began at 2PM(on Sunday), so I told all the guest they could park valet for free(not including the tip of course). Well, the valet actually begins charging at 2PM(not 3PM) on weekends) so we had to pay. It was only $ 3, so the cost was not the issue, the issue was communication and expecting one thing, but having to do another. Again, this was a minor issue and not detrimental enough to give anything less than 5 stars. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Love Gordon Biersch!

stopped in for a burger and a beer. Must have been off night or something in the kitchen. Hardly anyone was in the place, but they couldnt even cook a burger medium rare. Actually, they couldnt even cook two burgers medium rare. I sent back the first one because it sat around while they were making the side. Probably sat in the heat and dried out. Next burger took awhile and it was well done. It is a shame, because the beer was good and also it was special pricing. Felt bad for the bartender, he saw that I ate two bites of the second burger and knew better not to ask how it was. I will be back with the hope they get it right next time.

First time here. Sat on the patio at 3:30 in the afternoon on a not crowded Saturday. Took 55 minutes to get our salad and fish n chips. Even though we said we were in a hurry, when the food came out it was obvious it had been sitting out for a long time. Waitress was terrible. Told us to move our car to the valet garage since it’s free if you eat at GB. Well it’s not free.

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon with the boyfriend. It was quiet, but open and very clean. We took a seat at the bar and were greeted by two friendly bartenders who were actively laughing at the presidential debate that was on one of the TV monitors(the other was the football game). We learned from these hilarious bartenders that the Mr. Gordon hand selects the beers to appear on the menu! The menu for the day we popped in had a nice variety of choices. Cool thing to note is that they have the available sizes in ounces as well as liters. TL; DR? Nice place to stop by for a craft beer. Big open space and right in the heart of midtown!

I went to this particular location for the first time and really had a wonderful experience. Our waitress was very sweet and efficient. The food was pretty good as were the drinks. I think the drinks could have had less ice and could have been a little stronger. But again, it was a good visit. The steak that I ordered was cooked pretty good, so no complaints there. They have valet there and they were a good as well considering I went on a Friday night. I would definitely come back again.

Not a good visit. The service was horrible and the food equally bad. The only reason we stayed was because we had a gift card. The experience was painful enough that we regretted our decision. Couldn’t even get a good drink!

Loved my experience here! We had a large group & our waiter handled it with ease. The beer & food was tasty! A great vibe! Awesome happy hour specials… tapas or full entrée sizes available. You’ll like it!

I stumbled in this restaurant on whim after leaving the airport for a awhile due to a long layover. They weren’t terribly busy and the staff was friendly and offered to accommodate any seating preference. The waitress came over promptly and offered to let me sample a few beers before trying. I settled on the Czech Pilsner. It was just what I was looking for… light and flavorful. For dinner I ordered the California chicken club with garlic fries. It came out pretty quick but it was kind of cold. The garlic fries were delicious… visible pieces of garlic and all. The only thing they would have benefited from was being hotter. My guess is they had been out of the frier for awhile? No complaints about the sandwich… well put together and not messy to eat. Everything tasted fresh and the flavors were complimentary. My waitress kept checking back without being overbearing and promptly brought the check. Overall I totally recommend this place. Has an easy going atmosphere and good food. A wide range of dishes from light to heavy so you can probably find something you will enjoy. I’m not a big beer drinker so I don’t feel qualified to comment too much on the beer, but it seems like a decent selection and I was satisfied with the one I ordered. Seriously not a bad choice for a chain.

Came here with a group of friends for a late bite. To set the stage, it was after 10pm so it was a fairly slow night. And«slow» was the theme for the night. For a well-established chain, I was really expecting a pretty average and standard experience… but in this case nearly every aspect was shockingly subpar and frustrating. Once we got seated it took several minutes for a server to finally come by. My friends were all pretty hungry so we jumped right in with food and drink orders. Most of the group got beers. It took about 10 minutes for the first round of waters, 10 additonal minutes for some of the beers to arrive and then another 10 minutes for the other folks to get their beers.(It became evident that the server simply forgot.) So 30 minutes have gone by with only the first round of drinks to hit the table and no food. Our food finally arrived over 20 minutes later. If you’re keeping track, it took nearly an hour for us to get our food which is highly unacceptable. No one got complicated food… mostly sandwiches and pasta. Nothing that couldn’t be cooked, plated and served in under 30 minutes. I ordered a salad… a salad most certainly shouldn’t take an hour.(And my food was the last to arrive) I got the Gorgonzola-Pear Salad that was topped with Pecan Crusted Chicken. For me, the food was the only somewhat redeeming part of the whole experience. Fresh greens, sliced pears, just the right amount of Gorgonzola cheese, well-prepared chicken all lightly dressed with a balsamic dressing. No complaints whatsoever with my food. However, my friends found their food less than impressive. There was quite a bit of dissatisfied grumbling around the table. The pasta was apparently underwhelming. I tried some of GB’s «legendary garlic fries». Let me tell you, the fries were neither legendary nor garlic-y. Overall, an utterly disappointing performance. The food left much to be desired across the board and the service was terrible. The experience could have improved if the server simply acknowledged the slow pace, but there was no acknowledgment and no apologies. Halfway through the service, someone in the group decided to inquire about the status of our food. Her inquiry was only met with attitude and excuses. The server replied with«We told you it would take at least 30 minutes». I was shocked by the response. First, while 30 min is considered a slow ticket time, that would have been more acceptable than an hour. And second, the long wait time was never communicated to us at any point in the night. Suffice it to say, I don’t plan on returning here again on any future trips to Atlanta.

I’ve been to the Buckhead location several times but yesterday was my first time at this one. I decided to valet park, it’s $ 3 but they do have the option to self park. The garage is free during lunch and before 4, after that is costs. So, if you’re going after 4 you might as well valet it usually comes out cheaper. They have a happy hour menu in the bar area from 3 – 6:30 and 10-close M-F. They also different drink specials depending on the day. I tried the bratwurst slider and Margherita Flatbread. The flatbread was decent. I didn’t really like the bratwurst because of the sauce. They have an awesome patio. Great for people watching. They also have an area upstairs which would be good for special events or meeting. The atmosphere is cool. I’d come back to watch a game if I’m in the area.

I ordered the myself a pan-roasted citrus salmon with the quinoa & kale salad and grilled asparagus for the side to go. I opened up the box and the food looked okay. However, the salmon was very very dry. It almost looked as if they took frozen salmon and heated it up. The quinoa & kale salad was flavorless. The asparagus was the only thing that was alright. For a $ 17.00 meal, this made me very sad. My coworker, who also ordered the same thing, and I ended up ordering something else. I decided on the beef tenderloin salad. The tenderloin was cooked a little too well down, but it was a slight improvement from the salmon. I would have given one star, but this place is fun if going out for drinks. As for food quality, me think not.

Take a sweater with you. It’s hot outside, but cold inside. Gordon Biersch is one of our family favorites. We were introduced at Virginia Beach and were hooked since then. The menu has plenty of choices, the atmosphere is lax, the décor is on point, and they brew their own beer — tanks are visible and on the second floor. It’s centrally located on on one of the main strips, has a high walk score, and in a well-trafficked area. A party of four can dine for almost half the price than many comparable restaurants in the area. I highly recommend.

When I arrived there were a few couples in front of me. It was down to the last two couple(one of which was me and we were both #AfricanAmerican), and the little hostess girl(white) sat the couple who just walked who walked in next(a white couple). I had something to say and the lead hostess got her straight! #ThankYou!!! The wait was not too long! My waitress name is … and she is mad sweet and informational. She doesn’t eat seafood… but still a knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Seafood Carbonara. Shrimp, swordfish, tuna, bacon bits, and a fried egg on top. A pasta dish with parmesan cheese sauce. Very good. I couldn’t find/taste the tuna… but the manager came by and assured me there was tun. Super delicious!!! Cool environment. I liked it. I only took a star away because of that hostess. I hope that wasn’t racial… but I won’t assume to know what was in her mind.
