I was originally going to write this directly TO Suntrust, but when I went to their website to provide feedback, the comment box read as such: «Comments:(Please enter less than 8 lines of information)» I walked into this SunTrust branch at approximately 11:45am on Saturday. Infront of me, there were 2 people in line, one behind me and there was one associate behind the counter and someone who appeared to be management. The person who appeared to be the manager came out of her office and locked the main door closer to noon, walked around behind the counter and walked back out when it was noticeable that the associate was having difficulties with the customer who was being attended to. On her trip back to her office, the customer behind me stopped her and asked if the Publix Branch was open today and instead of perhaps offering assistance, she went directly to «Yes. they are open until 5pm today, you can go there» and she continued towards her office. She then came back out of her office, went behind the counter and stood behind the associate who was attending to the customer rather than, I don’t know, helping the next customer in line like I’ve seen other managers at other Suntrust branches do? By the time I got to the counter, I took a withdraw slip partially filled out because I needed money orders with the withdrawl and since I knew they charged for money orders, I wanted to ask about the amount first rather than having it pre-filled“ I asked how much the money orders were, the teller advised they were $ 5 each, I wasn’t happy about it, but I proceeded to say I needed 3 of them and their respective amounts. The manager then asked«who are they being paid to?» and instead of being outright rude and saying«none of your business», I said«two apartment complexes, one to my current and one to a new one» then she said«and you didn’t bring checks?» to which, I replied«I don’t use checks, I move too often and the address on there causes too much confusion» then I told the teller to nevermind the money orders, took the cash and took it to Publix for Western Union money orders. I have been a Suntrust customer for 10 years and I have not used another bank. This event, along with other minor nuisances I’ve run into over the past 12 months with various Suntrust banks will result in me closing out all my Suntrust accounts.
