Quality of food: Tried the Dragon Roll and really enjoyed it. The spicy chicken fried rice was sub par. I’ve certainly had better quality meat, and the taste was a bit lacking. Service: Average. We did not receive one of the appetizers we had ordered even though the restaurant wasn’t busy that night. Environment: Nice ambience. Good for a casual dinner.

I love Rain! My son took me there a few months ago and it was awesome! Food was prepared to perfection. Very accommodating to my taste. I had the flounder ginger salad. I love the ambiance. It’s intimate, elegant yet fun. The lighting is perfect for conversation and relaxed fun eating. I’d definitely go back and highly recommend it for anyone. I’m taking out of town family guests there this week. Service was well done as well. Got to know the owner a bit. She’s very knowledgeable and great w combination suggestions.

I went last night for the first time ever. Good stuff! We got spicy basil chicken and a curry dish. Both were freshly prepared and very tasty. The spicy basil chicken was very spicy hot, next time… and yes there will defiantly be a next time, I’ll ask for less spice. Good prices, friendly staff, clean space, and great food!

We hit this place about once a month. Service is always good and the drinks are great. We feel the food is solid and sometimes amazing. Lately it has been amazing. Ordered the ginger flounder recently and was blown away. This was out of this world amazing and beautifully presented. a very good option for this part of Atlanta.

I really liked going here when I lived in the Woodland Hills neighborhood. I became addicted to their Tom Kha soup. I also really enjoyed their Jasmine tea. Their staff is incredibly friendly too. Maybe a dollar or two more than you’d expect but well worth it

Great! Sat at the bar and had beers and sushi. Could not be happier. Great salad to start with ginger dressing that was perfect and not to tart. Sushi was fresh and delicious but also was a great portion. Very very clean. Thanks

Big fan of the Pad See U. I had been looking for a good Thai restaurant when I moved to Atlanta and this is my stop for Thai every time. It may not be close to my house, but I will make a special trip here to have some good Thai food or sushi. The restaurant is very modern style and was updated last year to make it even more clean and refreshed. The atmosphere is very relaxed and never too loud.

I was there today and ordered lunch for to go. Very terrible service. They keep me waiting for unreasonable time without even bothering to follow through my order. They put my order at the counter, and they come and go, seeing me waiting but intendedly ignored me all the way. Bad service!

Rain has always satisfied my Thai palette until very recently when they decided to mess up my order on my birthday weekend(May 30th). I ordered 3 portions of spring rolls TO-GO and the usual house special fried rice(4 portions) indicating that i wanted it to be «Thai Spicy»! That simple, spicy… Let’s just say I ended up getting bland, chewy, unseasoned, & unsalted rice which I and my friends refused to eat. I was hosting this and as such, bore the burnt of paying for the enormous order which as we can tell by this story’s direction, was a complete waste of my money! Additionally, It has come to my attention that most Asian establishments never apologize for their mistakes. I didn’t prepare the food so if I say there is a problem with my order then there most likely is. I rarely ever have the strength or time to complain and I’m also more of a «let’s make do with this» type person but the constant pattern of denying responsibility is unnerving. However, I am a believer in second chances so I will try again and would most likely dine-in as I had done in the past. This was my 4th visit but as I stated earlier, I ordered to-go this time. In summary, it was my birthday weekend and I ordered a huge lump of food that ended up in the trash. No apologies was proffered by the establishment and that is not Classy! 3 stars because they have a pretty okay selection of Thai dishes and sushi that tasted wonderful until my last experience. I don’t know what yours might bring. PS– I didn’t ask for anything to be replaced, just an acknowledgment of my complaints!!!

First of all, let me say that it is such a pleasure to eat in a restaurant where the wait staff appear to be happy and are very friendly. This is true of Rain. They are attentive, but not intrusive, and seem genuinely concerned that you have a great dining experience. We certainly did. The surroundings are beautiful, simply decorated, and spotlessly clean. The food was fresh and delicately prepared. My fried flounder plate was beautifully presented, quite delicious, and large enough to have plenty to take home for the next day. Our waiter told us that the Saturday lunch menu is special, with«down home» Thai dishes that you don’t usually see in restaurants here. The kind of food that«his mother cooks». I’m looking forward to going back to Rain on a Saturday for lunch and giving that a try!

I’ve tried the sushi and the thai dishes from this restaurant, and both are pretty good. I’ll have to say, though, that I prefer the thai dishes to the sushi. The spring roll appetizer is delicious and plenty for two. It also comes out looking fancy with«Rain» written in sauce on a rectangular plate. This place is really good for a dinner-and-a-movie date as it’s right next to the Tara movie theater. You can just park your car, eat dinner, and then walk over to the movie. Sushi and Thai dishes are good here, but my favorite thing is that this seems to be the only restaurant in Atlanta with Ginger Ice Cream on the dessert menu. It does not disappoint. A large scoop of ginger ice cream comes out served on a bed of sticky rice with whipped cream and a cherry on top. It’s enough to make you go there just for dessert.

I just stopped in here to grab a small bite to eat and a quick drink because we had some time before our movie started next door and I was pleasantly surprised by this little sushi place. The décor inside and is nice and inviting and the service is great. Omg we ordered the tuna pizza… bomb.com. give it a whirl. I had never had anything like it and it was delish.

We saw a movie at Tara Theater and decided to eat here after the movie. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice ambiance inside. Then I was pleasantly surprised that the menu is both Japanese and Thai, two of my favorite Asian cuisines. The menu had many options. The service was kind of slow. The waiter didn’t speak good English and couldn’t make a recommendation and when I asked him how something was served, he couldn’t answer. The salad they brought out was the usual lettuce and cucumber with ginger dressing. It was good. The dressing was a bit too sweet for my taste. I ordered the Hawaiian Roll. It was a combination of spicy tuna and eel, two of my favorite sushi fish. The only thing I didn’t like about this roll is the sweet sauce/honey glaze they put at the bottom of the roll. It was too thick and too sweet, and over bearing. I wished they didn’t have it. From the Thai menu I ordered the fried catfish and vegetables. The fish was fried in thick batter and there was barely any fish inside. This is probably why I didn’t give the restaurant 5 stars. The vegetables and sauce they were cooked in were really good. We were too full to have dessert or to order Thai tea. If I’m ever in that area again, I wouldn’t mind going back again for more sushi and a different Thai dish.

I’ve had sushi here twice and found it excellent both times. They’ve recently remodeled and the ambiance is quite nice. The food is always served with close attention to presentation and in my experience the service has been consistently quick and friendly. Rain is a great place to grab dinner before a movie at the Tara. I’ll definitely be coming back when the sushi craving hits.

Always looking for new places to dine close to the house, we decided to give Rain a try. Interior of the restaurant is very nice considering the strip mall that surrounds it. Ordered Miso soup for app. Very good.(Right or wrong I always check the tofu pieces to see if they are all small and exactly the same size, this tells me premade. If they are varying sizes I get a better feeling that they make on site fresh) Not that making Miso soup is rocket science so places just don’t bother to take the time to make it. Miso at Rain is great. Entrée I went with Ginger with Beef. They have several different entrée bases that you can order with either chicken, beef, pork or with shrimp or calamari for $ 2 more. This was wonderful from beginning to end. Great ginger flavor. If only one knock, the beef has a ting too much salt. But not enough for me to even remotely think about sending it back. Topped it of with a piece of coconut cake. Absolutely delicious and the perfect size to share. I generally do not review the facilities but these bathrooms were extraordinarily clean and they had the most unique sink I have ever seen. I am going to find it and put it into our front bathroom when we redesign it
