Quick and affordable. Small shop with parking and entrance in the back. Quite a large portion of food that will fill you up for lunch or one of your dinner meals if you’re wanting to eat more for the night. If you don’t like viet you can order from the Thai menu. Also they have tapioca pearls for your Thai tea.

Food is good but the Asain guy with long hair and glasses has the personality of a rock!

Guy at the register with the long hair and glasses was the biggest a-hole I have encountered in a long while. He was almost angry with me because he had to stop texting and take my order. Food was pre made hours before. Over priced for the small portions I received compared to other Asian restaurants.

I’ve only ever ordered the Phở here so I can’t speak for the rest of their items. But I love the Phở and I love that they deliver! I’ve always had a pleasant experience here. Great customer service!

Free parking in the back of the building. Clean tables and restaurant. The steak Phở was alright, nothing special about it. Comparatively you can get more, for less $ on Buford highway, and more authentic feeling. This place is more Americanized than the one on Buford. I don’t like that it’s in a fast food setting: the bowls, spoons, and everything were plastic throwaway. Overall: mediocre.

Out of all the delivery options available in my area, they are the healthiest(without using a delivery service). I normally get the steamed dumplings and shaky beef(w/brown rice) and both have been constantly good. The beef is of a high quality and the dumplings have a great flavor. They also deliver bubble tea! However, I’ll get the Phở with chicken occasionally and its always overcooked. They need to prepare it differently/better.

The very few positives 1. Insanely fast delivery — it took 17 minutes from the time I placed the order until the food arrived at my door 2. I asked for Spicy and it totally was spicy — this place gets limited props for being able to honor a request. Now, the major downside — the chicken — I should have read more reviews before placing my order. I got the chicken hot and spicy soup and the chicken pananing curry. This was some of those most unappetizing chicken I’ve ever seen. It didn’t even look like chicken. It was ghost white, very thinly sliced, and it wasn’t even like rubbery(like normal overcooked chicken) it was soggy. If I pushed my fork into it slightly it just smooshed. It was super super super gross. After just taking a look at the chicken I couldn’t eat any of the meals. I tried the broth and picked around the chicken but there was just so much of this weird gross chicken in both of my items that I ended up just eating some brown rice… Displeased, grossed out, and concerned how chicken got to look like that

I’ve only ordered delivery from this place but each time has been a great one with super hot and tasty food(I could live off the steamed dumplings) and scary fast delivery. On one delivery experience that occurred When I lived at 12th and Piedmont the guy got there within 20 minutes of my order placement via Eat24. I am a delivery freak and a 25 minute turn around in midtown Atlanta on a Friday is unheard of! I’d have joked with the delivery person saying«gosh did you even cook this?» but English is not his first language so I don’t think the gag would have landed well. Plus he was double parked and had to haul ass to make more super fast deliveries. I have got to stop in sometime! Thanks Saigon Basil!

I’ve ordered delivery from Saigon Basil around a dozen times and it has traditionally been pretty good. However, today’s lunch was awful. The pad thai was almost completely missing sauce and flavor, the General Tso and orange chicken both appeared the be several days old(and were incredibly soggy), and the dumplings were burnt(not fried!) Unfortunately this will be the last time we’ll be ordering from here.

I drove by this place and thought I’d give it a chance. I’ll admit that I wasn’t expecting fast food per say but being an avid Thai food lover(my first problem), I thought I’d give it a chance when the craving kicked in. I ordered two very small items, chicken coconut soup, or Tom Ka Gai, and the fresh chicken rolls. I waited for just a few minutes to have my food handed to me and went on my way. I am now sitting at my table looking at the half eaten food before me. I am sadly unable to stomach finishing my very small meal. The chicken in the soup has a somewhat uncooked/transparent look so after trying one piece that had the faint taste of frozen, I removed all the chicken from the cup and just ate the coconut milk broth. The fresh rolls were okay but not good, and once again the chicken provided a flavor I’m not sure how to describe. I ate the first one because I wanted to get my money’s worth in my stomach but sadly I’ll not be eating the other. I guess the common denominator is the poor chicken quality, which isn’t uncommon for fast food, but once again I didn’t realize this was fast food until I walked into the place. So, bottom line: avoid the meat and all should be well.

I tried this place for lunch because I work nearby. I got the #9 a rice vermicelli bowl with pork and shrimp. The meat was really good, but I could have used more pork. I didn’t really like the egg rolls that came with it. For that and a drink it was $ 10 – not bad because it is a good amount of food and fairly healthy. I didn’t really love this entrée, so I probably wouldn’t order again, but may branch out to try some of their thai options. Ingredients tasted fresh. Parking was simple. Service was fine.

Decided to try this place for lunch a few days ago. The weather outside was pretty chilly, but inside wasn’t much better as it appears the restaurant was trying to save money on heating by leaving it set at a really low temp. That being said, the service was quick. Maybe the workers moved fast to keep warm! They were playing«General Hospital» soap opera episodes on the in-store TV sets on the walls, probably to stave off worker boredom during the off hours(I went there at 2:30 on a Friday) I ordered the Thai kung pao chicken with white rice. Portion-wise, they do give you a lot for your money(I paid about $ 9), so you’re not going to leave hungry. The vegetables were pretty good, as was the spicy kung pao sauce, but the chicken was bland — nothing to write home about. Overall the restaurant was basically good, with no glaring issues. But it definitely is a kind of place that only seems to do the bare minimum to stay in the«good» category.

1) I love phở. It’s one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes so I have been to a few places that have BETTER phở than here. 2 examples are I Luv Phở(Jimmy Carter location) & Phở Dai Loi(Buford Hwy location). The broth was not very flavorful and rich; I had to douse it in sriracha to make it less bland. 2) My friends ordered the chicken panang curry, pork egg roll, & the shaken beef. The beef & fried rice were pretty good but the curry was average. 3) The service was decent but what really got me was how cold it was! I was here last night & it was freezing! I didn’t take off my jacket or scarf off the entire time. The heat was completely off & the fan was on auto. When I asked if the heat could be turned on, I received a cold response saying that the heat was broken. It could have been but I have a hard time believing that the heat has been broken for this long since other reviews have also mentioned how cold it is. Overall, not the best experience or place to go for Vietnamese food. Not coming back!

Delivery was quick and food was hot(ordered through Eat24 app), delivery man was very polite. Phở was more delicious than I had expected. It came seperate which I loved so nothing was soggy or spilled in the bag. A little DIY, but I loved it, because I was able to make the Phở to my liking. Also ordered the Pork spring rolls which were really good, and ordered General Tso’s chicken with white rice which was also yummy. Got a lot of bang for my buck– will be ordering again!!!

I can’t deny that phở on Buford is always better. Having said that, I will order from Saigon Basil as often as possible. The phở was really delicious! I was feeling ill and it hit the spot. For about $ 20 I got the beef phở and a Thai tea. Yum and yum. I ordered delivery because I didn’t feel like driving. It showed up in just under and hour from Eat24. So pumped they’re so close to me. Second delivery order we got more phở, Thai tea, and pad Thai! Both delicious once again.

It’s generally fast and easy getting in and out of here. I disagree with another poster who says the parking lot is tiny. Its always had loads of room every time I have been, and an entry right off the lot. The food is probably 3 ½ star. I am rounding up for two reasons. First, as I waited I read an AJC article on the wall over 6 ½ years old. It is dated 1÷31÷08. I notice the dish I ordered, the Kung Pao Chicken combo is listed there at $ 8.95. That is what I just now paid over 6 ½ years later! It had some sliced chicken in there that was well cooked and tasted fresh. The other reason is they have some coupons you can get, $ 5 off $ 7.50. This makes it even more affordable! Try to get your coupons only when you have a discount code that makes them even lower! This place is by no means a high end restaurant, so my 4 star rating is taking that into account and I am rating it for how well it performs for its category. Picture of my lunch loaded below.

Don’t do it. I ordered two dishes. Pad Thai and grilled chicken and shrimp vermicelli. The pad Thai didn’t have a taste. It was a container of unflavored pasta. The grilled chicken and shrimp dish made me so sick. I spent the night on the bathroom floor. Horrible. I will never eat here again.
