Not sure what’s going on with this location, but they are getting cheaper with the frosting in the middle of the cake. Bottom layer is cake to cake on the white chocolate slice. Plus the cookies and cream looks like yellow cake with chocolate chips. That’s was my favorite not they have fallen off! Not sure who’s doing the baking. Smh

A couple weeks ago I picked up my replacement birthday cake from Piece of Cake. If you read my original review, I was very, very dissatisfied with the first cake I got from them. But, thanks to the power of Unilocal,I was contacted by the owner who apologized and offered to fix the issue by giving me a credit for a free cake. I appreciated her willingness to try to make it up to me but I was still reluctant…‘once bitten’ ya know? But, in the end I figured, why not? I must say that even with the«do over» cake, I still chose to get a totally different flavor and even switched locations. This time I chose the Oreo cake from their Vinings bakery. I ordered my cake over the phone, explained to them my free credit situation and went to pick up my cake the next day. I had no trouble using my free credit and the cake was ready and waiting when I arrived even though I’d ordered it late the previous afternoon. The service was friendly and efficient from start to finish. Great! Now all I needed to do was actually try my new cake. I could hardly wait to get it home because it smelled amazing! When I finally had a slice on my plate, I cautiously took a bite… it was AMAZING. While I still can’t quite understand what happened with the chocolate cake I originally got, I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed the Oreo. It was flavorful without being too sweet and it was pretty moist. I still don’t think it was quite AS moist as I would’ve liked and because of that it dried out earlier than normal. By the end of the second day it was already starting to get stale and by the third day it was pretty much done, which was fine, helped me get it out of the house sooner :). With all that said, I’m still not POC’s number one fan still BUT I will say that they have made up for my poor experience AND that their white chocolate cake is still the best the have in my opinion. Thanks POC.

This is not the place to come if you don’t have self control and are watching your weight. I come here weekly to purchase cake slices for my husband. The cake is always fresh, moist and delicious! There are so many varieties to choose from. I love they serve cake by the slice, just in case I want to treat myself as well!

My friend had never been here & decided to wait until I came to town to try it. I’m glad she waited for me. People who eat to live do not understand those of us who live to eat. My point is, THIS is what homemade cake should taste like. Moist, dense, full of flavor but not overly sweet. Paradise in a slice & a nice thick slice it was. I got the Key Lime & the Chocolate with Cream Cheese frosting. Rich & delicious. Go people, go when they open up. This is not supermarket, box store generic cake. Explore the world of real cake, it’ll be worth the trip.

It’s so hard to avoid this place especially it’s on my way home. The Tuesday special buy one get one 50% just makes it more tempting. What I like about their cakes is their icing, it’s not overly sweet and not caked(no pun intended) on thickly. This is pretty busy place through out the week. There’s about 16 – 20 types of cakes, I’ve tried 5: red velvet, key lime, white chocolate, caramel, and apple pound cake. My top favorite is the white chocolate cake and key lime. The white chocolate is for the non-adventurous, basic but the white chocolate icing has a smooth satin taste, very light tasting a hint of white chocolate. It’s enough to make you take notice that it’s not just white icing topped with pecans. The key lime is light but the tartness of key lime is not low key(yet again no pun intended), you notice but not overwhelming. Loving it but in moderation. Side note, pretty neat they had a green velvet cake for St. Patrick’s day.

I really need to try to stay away from this place. The first time I went was on Mother’s Day and though they should have been open, they were closed and I was really disappointed. I have been back several times since then and now I can not stay away. I am addicted to the pound cakes they make and I love the cupcakes as well. They often have samples out and I have tried the orange cupcake and the peach pound cake. I am a true fan of it all. I haven’t had anything that wasn’t delicious. They know what they are doing here. This isn’t a place to go in and sit down as there are no tables. You just need to go in get what you want and go home and throw down. Slices of cake are $ 5 to $ 5.50 and large cupcakes are around $ 3.50. I love this place!

I was in the area. A girlfriend of mines had spoke highly about this place. I entered this colorful bakery with something sweet on my mind. My first choice Is always REDVELVET so I look through the other cakes and decided on the Coconut also. I purchased both slices and took them home in the cute red/white bag. I ate some of the red velvet while my kids looked at me saying mom please share… they know if I share REDVELVET cake it’s not that great to me. I then fork a piece of the Coconut and slid that piece to them as well. The cake slices are $ 5 which is a a bit expensive though the slices are thick. $ 3.75 would be more like it. The RV was good not great. The Coconut was good but sweeter than I expected. There are a variety of mini tarts, cookies all bagged or in jars for gift giving. I like to try new places and I can finally say I tried PIECEOFCAKE. The 3stars are for the store itself(cute) The cashier(female short hair cut) did smile and told me about the 5 layer bar when I asked what was in it. Maybe I will return but not in the near future.

Let me just say. I will do some crazy things for their red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. In the past week I’ve been there twice to get me a few treats! I’ve tried the strawberry cake which is really good as well. I’m just not a fan of the actual strawberry pieces in the cake. I ordered a full carrot cake for a friend’s birthday and he would NOT stop talking about it. Definitely one of the higher end cake shops in Atlanta.

The white chocolate cupcake is a definite winner. I just knew red velvet would be my fav but surprisingly, it was not. I have tried 4 flavors so far, and each cupcake has been moist and delicious. I am, however, disappointed in the packaging. It’s very important and should make you feel like you are buying something special(I love cupcakes a little too much). They package the cake slices and cupcakes(unless you buy 3 or more from my experience but it may vary) in a clear plastic container similar to one you would get from Kroger. If you do get a box, they are basic to say the least. The box is like upgrading to Publix. The cupcakes taste great, but presentation should be considered as well. The staff I have encountered have been hit and miss as far as great customer service and professionalism is concerned. The good ones are great, so that makes up for the duds.

The store is pretty spacious, they have slices of cakes and I saw a sign if you wanted to add more nuts or other toppings to the cake slice, it would be extra. They had a variety of cakes and I was not too sure what to get so I asked the lady behind the counter what the best seller was and she told me, white chocolate so white chocolate it is. The cake was very moist and to my liking. While a few people came in and out, so I know that they have steady business and the cake tasted fresh, I just wonder how many days pass if no one buys the slice that it sits. I hate that they close at 6:00pm, I think they should atleast stay onpen until 7:00pm.
