Decent for airport food but dang they go heavy on the salt. Went with the 3 veg plate and got Mac and cheese, collards, and green beans. The Mac and cheese was great with a thick cheese crust on top. On the other hand, I’m pretty sure after eating half the collards and green beans I’ve reached my weeks intake of sodium. This s**t was SALTY.

Sad to report that the breakfast I had here was inedible. I should have paid attention to my first glimpse of the grits that looked like leftover wallpaper paste. They were not even that good. They may have been instant. I love grits. Not these. Then there were the“scrambled” eggs. See the picture. These give Southern cooking a bad name.

Passing through getting breakfast really was excited to try their Southern style breakfast. These people take rudeness to a whole new level. Almost to the point you actually should go to watch the show. The food was okay, lacked flavor. But the people hated to work there and absolutely hated dealing with people. The lady behind me was dealing with an unruly kid. She asked the lady behind the counter to substitute one item for bacon. The lady behind the counter rolled her eyes and threw away the half made breakfast. She made such a production out of having to remake the plate which didn’t even need to be. So if you’re in terminal B Atlanta I need a dinner and a show check this place out

Four stars for the quality/price of airport food that you can get here. I come through terminal B often. I figured this place would be good because there’s usually a line. I had an early flight this morning and there wasn’t much of a line so I stopped in for breakfast. The menu includes several combos for less than $ 7 as well as breakfast sandwiches for about $ 3.50. Classic southern fare: grits; fried catfish; biscuits and gravy; smoked sausage. As well as your more run of the mill scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties. I tried the biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, grits and a piece of the catfish. The biscuits and gravy were pretty good. Fresh, flaky biscuits with tasty sausage gravy. I’m no grits expert, but these grits were creamy, not grainy, and satisfied my 1 – 2 times per year desire for grits. The eggs weren’t anything special, but I have no complaints about them. The catfish was crispy, not too greasy and very tasty. I won’t hesitate to stop here again the next time I’m in terminal B and am much more inclined to wait in line in the future, if I’m not sprinting to a connection.

Saw this on so thought I’d check it out with some time to kill. Collard greens were average(nothing special), mashed potatoes above average(creamy texture), corn bread was a big disappointment(didn’t teaser quite right. A little salty, dry and just not good) Chicken was moist with a hint of pepper. The skin wasn’t as flavorful or crunchy as I was hoping but overall was better than expected. Gave it 4 stars because it’s above average for airport food and I’d come back here again the next time I’m in terminal B.

I came to Atlanta 2x now and every time I land, I am hungry and if there was anything I want to get at the airport here — it would be Paschal’s. Things I’ve tried and liked: — Ribs: I am so surprised that an airport fast-food restaurant and serve ribs this tender! Can’t believe it! So good! — Spicy chicken: definitely has a mild buffalo flavor but OMG, SOWELLSEASONED. And definitely falls of the bones! Super satisfied after a 5-hour flight. — Creamed corn: can’t really go wrong with this dish but it’s so good. Overall, great place and I definitely look forward to it next time I land in Atlanta!

Powdered(or maybe liquid) eggs, grits as hot as fresh lava from Mauna Kea, biscuit that was probably originally made by the Pillsbury doughboy(but it was pretty tasty). Grits actually had salt. Airport breakfast isn’t exactly top notch. As long as I don’t have to hit the airplane latrine, I’m fine. Affordable pricing.

What ! This place should have 5 stars. The macaroni and cheese = amazing. The baked chicken = amazing. The candid yams = amazing. For an airport to have food like this is so unbelievable to me. I don’t care to mug for Atlanta airport but the food there is amazing.

Oh Paschal’s how you have let me down. This place; that has served many a happy meals to the likes Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, Andrew Young, Maynard Jackson(yes, that Jackson), Martin Luther King, Jr., and Al Gore; I should have taken my chances with Popeye’s! I ordered 2 piece fried chicken with corn, mashed potatoes and gravy and corn bread, with sweet tea. Who knew that the mashed potatoes and sweet tea would save the day! The chicken must have taken a shower under the rain after it was fried since the skin was rubbery and the taste flat :( The corn bread must have been baked in the wake of an idling airliner since it was dry as a desert and stale as a leftover cigarette butt(not that I have smoked ever)! The anticipation, before the meal was like standing in line for The Lord of The Rings, but the movie turned it to be Expendables 7 in which Stallone is 100 years old! Oh! Paschal’s, I was dreaming well cooked Southern comfort food, but you have me an empty stomach and dashed dreams. In sure your food was good when it was good in the 70s, but it’s time to let go of the leftovers now. My before and after pictures do not do justice to my disappointment.

Excellent fried chicken for an airport location. Grab a Sam Summer across the way. It’s the same owner and they’re OK with that.

***Inside ATL Airport*** Quick, ready-to-serve, cafeteria style set up. Baked chicken was quite good — I would suggest sticking with dark meat as it is less likely to be overcooked on the hot plate than white meat. Collard greens were outstanding. Green beans still a bit too hot to eat and not as flavorful as expected. Cornbread is crispy and gritty — wasn’t my thing. Overall, solid choice if you are looking for something more substantial than Chick-fil-A or Five Guys while having your layover at ATL.

I’m no longer impressed. The fried chicken was still good but no more special than fried chicken from anywhere else. It seemed like the selection was slim! I would have liked more choices. Meatloaf perhaps. I was also frustrated because I couldn’t tell by quickly looking at the signage what I was supposed to do. Pick a meat and 2 sides. I guess that’s a standard assumption I should make. I ended up getting fried chicken, yams, cornbread, and some other side that wasn’t memorable. Everything was just okay. The up side is that they will still serve you southern food FAST.

When I fly, I care mostly about one thing when it comes to airport food — wait time, especially because I like to get to the airport at the last possible minute I can without missing my flight… and almost every time I go to the airport, the line at Paschal’s is teeny ting. This may lead you to think that the food at Paschal’s is subpar, so people just can’t be bothered to go. Not true. I will say this — Paschal’s is NOT the most amazing Southern Comfort food I’ve ever had(I mean, it *is* airport food, after all), but the dishes are above average in tastiness, and they will satisfy anyone’s craving for fried, fatty, rich food. I don’t love the small cornbread muffins they add to every order(kinda dry, kinda tasteless each time I’ve had them), but I dig the barbecue pulled pork and the baked chicken.

I’m a big fan of Eater’s recommendations for Airport food and hence decided to try out this place during a layover to Miami. The counter for Paschal’s is tucked away on the end so keep walking down the food court and you will finally spot the signage. Coming up to the counter — it was awesome to see there was a veg option plate too! Woot! I scrolled thru Unilocal reviews and based on them decided on the yams, black eyed peas and fried okra. For my carb I got the cornbread. The yams were perfect and the highlight of the meal — not too cinnamon-y and just tasted fresh + sweet. Second choice went to the black eyed peas, as I found them a tad too salty for my taste and that was followed by the fried okra as I got some bites tasting horridly of rancid oil. But the worst taste bite was the cornbread! All I could taste was this grease and it wasn’t butter but artificial-tasting. I felt so bad as the nice gentleman serving had put in an extra piece of corn bread in my plate, and now I was throwing that food away. I also left behind a fair amount of the okra as I just could handle that bitter oil taste. Hate food wastage, but neither is my tummy a garbage dump :-/ I also got ice tea(half sweet & half unsweet) but forgot to shake it so my first taste was too sweet and then at the end it was super bland. I paid around $ 12 for my food + drink so not a bad deal. Oh, my co-traveller raved about his mac & cheese and said the baked chicken was more flavorful and moist than the fried one — he felt the fried chicken was also too salty. I’m not sure would come back — there’s 9 other places in Atlanta Airport that Eater has on their list that I still have to try! Note: #56 of Unilocal 100 challenge for 2016

I wanted to go to Popeye’s, but wifey overruled me, and we ate here. I’m glad we did. Don’t tell her, but she was right :-) I wasn’t expecting anything special for an airport meal, but this was great friend chicken, and mac n cheese was creamy and thick — it was just what we needed during our 2 hour layover.

Really. 4 solid stars. I just had the best meal I’ve ever had in an airport. I was hesitant to go for the fried steak because the baked chicken looked delicious, but I went for it was well rewarded. The steak was crunchy outside and moist and flavorful inside. The black-eyed peas were fantastic and fresh tasting. Collards, not my favorite veg, were soft and not bitter or offensively seasoned(as I sometimes find). My expectations was for a dried out biscuit but I was pleased to find it warm, firm outside, and perfectly moist inside. Grab some honey and you’re in business. I have this in my short-list for ATL and will hope to have time to eat on my next connecting flight.

Stopped in today and got a two piece fried chicken meal. I asked for a breast and a wing and they were glad to oblige. I ordered Mac n cheese and green beans on the side. Everything was excellent! The chicken was extremely juicy, flavorful and were large pieces. The baked Mac n cheese was thick and very cheesy. Finally, the green beans were cooked southern style and very flavorful. I’ll be back again!

Stuck in Atlanta last night. Stupid planes. So my fiancée and I are flying out this morning. I got us a «nice» Christmas breakfast to split — eggs, hashbrowns, biscuit, bacon, biscuits and gravy, grits, and sausage! We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality. It was mostly good relative to most airport breakfast food. The staff were friendly and cheerful as well. It made spending Christmas Eve and morning in Atlanta just a tiny bit better.

Missed my flight and catching the next one. Haven’t had a real meal in hours, so I went looking around nearby my terminal for a place to eat. Craving for comfort food, I decided to go Paschal’s Southern Cuisine and was greeted with a smile from beginning to end! The employees are super friendly from the lady who took my order, to the lady taking my sides and the lady at the cash register. I ordered the two-piece baked chicken meal and choose my two sides of sweet potatoes, corn niblets and two corn muffins. As for something to drink, I had the sweetened iced tea. The baked chicken was quite spicy, but tasty! I ate it with the corn and started to get full by the time I got to the starches. The sweet potatoes had the right amount of sweetness with the taste of cinnamon. The corn muffin did not have taste sweet or savory, but with the condiments it’s perfect(I had honey for one muffin and mixed berry jelly of the other). If you’re looking for a filling and comforting meal, then this place is perfect! A must-stop at ATL.

I wanted some authentic southern food before I returned home from my first trip to Atlanta and was hungry so I stopped by here. I had two fried chicken with two sides(mash potatoes and mac & cheese) with cornbread for less than $ 11. Decent price, but when I sat down to eat, I saw the tiny pieces of chicken I got. There was barely meat in it and too much batter — disappointment. The mash potatoes and the mac & cheese tasted better than the chicken, but it was just ok. The cornbread was what disappointed me most. In Atlanta I had the most amazing cornbread, and was hoping to have another amazing round of that before leaving… except the bread was hard and tasteless. I didn’t even finish one half of one when I was given two. Definitely won’t order from here next time I’m at the airport.

Great Fried Chicken, greens, blacked peas and cornbread… Best airport meal I have had in a long time. If they would let you sit at anointing table with service would be 4 stars. Wish they would have fried pork chops routinely instead of sporadically . Veggie plate with cornbread also very good.

Easily the best fried chicken I have ever had. I normally don’t like white meat as it tends to be dry, but the chicken breast I got in the 3 piece meal was juicy and wonderful. I got a 3 piece fried chicken meal with a biscuit, collard greens, candied yams, and a drink for just over $ 12. Given the amount and quality of food, that would be a good deal outside the airport. At the airport it’s a fantastic deal. In addition to the chicken, the collards were great, being perfectly cooked with a great bite and a little spice. the biscuit was good, and the candied yams were nice; not overly sweet. Definitely recommended!

Stuck in ATL waiting for your connecting flight? If old school southern meat and three /soul good is your thing, you can’t do better than Pascal’s in ATL’s terminal B. Plenty of vegetables: today my choices were black eyed peas, collards, mashed potatoes, stewed squash, green beans. Great fried chicken. Get your meal in a to-go plate if you’re inclined to use your cornbread to soak up the juice from your greens. Otherwise, everything mixes together. And don’t tell your cardiologist.

This place is ok. I caught them just before closing on a Sunday night around 10:20. The workers were already cleaning the buffet line. Yet, they were still encouraging customers to order. Given the circumstances, nothing looked particularly fresh, of course. I got the two piece fried chicken dinner($ 9.99) with macaroni and cheese and greens. By that time of night, they were out of the yams. The meal came with either a biscuit or cornbread, which was not of the sweet variety. As I dove into the meal, the fried chicken was decent but, it was underseasoned for my liking. The same went for the macaroni and cheese. I did like the greens, however. They were a little spicy and still had a good bite to them. The biscuit had an odd flavor and it seemed more appropriate for a breakfast meal. Given the fact that G. Garvin’s place is just one terminal over, I doubt that I’ll be back to Paschal’s. The food, and particularly the fried chicken, is much better at Low Country. I’m glad that I gave Paschal’s a try since I’ve heard so much about this place. Perhaps coming a little earlier in the day when their offerings are fresher would yield a better result.

Almost missed this place, as I normally run to chic-fil-a whenever Im at this airport. It was actually my husband’s lead I followed this time he ordered a 2 pc. Chix dinner during a short layover I originally opted not looking for something else by the time we got to the end of the terminal nothing was there so I was gonna pass but he offered me a taste of his food and man O man my taste buds were dancing, thank heavens the plane was a little latr getting in so I ran a mad dash allllllll the way back to the restaurant which of course had a pretty long line by now& only 10 minutes to go before boarding and I was in zone one!!! Finally get to the front of the line NO chicken and another 7 minute wait(here comes the food review) so I had the chicken fingers very tasty along with mac n cheese, corn muffin & collard greensthe sweet tea(yummy) I don’t have one complaint about this food it was every thing southern cuisine should be almost like grandma made it salty, crispy flavorful in every way… so why didn’t I give 5 stars I thought the customer service was crappie between the older women at the register and the young guy on the line they had poor attitudes and didn’t seem to no pep in their steps just way to slow, knowing ppl have flights to catch, But there was an older gentleman who finally came out to serve and the line picked up he was my saving grace made it back to my area with 3 minutes to spear.

Whenever I have a layover in Atlanta, its hard to resist eating at this restaurant. Today, I had a late breakfast/early lunch and had country fried steak, green beans, mac and cheese and sweet tea. They were just setting up the lunch hot bar so everything was fresh. My only complaint is that the green beans have a lot of garlic in them. I should have waited for the collard greens. My meal came to $ 16.00 and was definitely worth the price. Until next time…

Great portions and crunchy fried chicken. A bit salty to my taste but its served fresh and hot. The sides were a great add ons. Expect long lines during rush hours. Prices are a bit more as so with any airport located fast food.

I tend to gravitate towards Paschal’s or Chick-fil-a whenever I pass through Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. I just need a reminder of Southern comfort(and usually fried) food. Paschal’s is nothing fancy. I’d like to think of it as a Boston Market with a Southern twist. Fried chicken, collard greens and fried okra are some of the things that are pretty decent here. I’m not sure if I agree with these 5 star ratings, but this is solid Southern fast food, especially for an airport. It reminds me of Morrison’s and Piccadilly Cafeterias. It’s worth checking out.

STOPLOOKINGFORANOTHERPLACETOEATINTHISAIRPORT. U WONTFINDIT. I pass through ATL a few times a month lately and since finding this place I only eat here on layovers. Food is actually better than the local heavy hitting soul food places located in the perimeter,(I’m looking at you Busy B’s) *sorry I love you* and I’ve made inconvenient flight routing decisions so that I can eat here. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy and tender, flavored beautifully. The collard greens are perfectly seasoned, the candied yams were the perfect consistency and not overly sweet. And. The. Peach. Cobbler!!! So bomb! First time I ate it I flew straight home and slapped my momma:) Best part is, it’s a counter(not sit down) so you can quickly grab it and go if you are dashing between flights. Be prepared for the person sitting next to you to drool and maybe even look at you seriously and ask for a taste. Good smell space invasion!

This is without a doubt the best Southern food my poor sorry Yankee tongue has ever been fortunate enough to be graced with. Don’t be turned off by the food court location or the styrofoam. The fried chicken is juicy with crispy flavorful skin, the yams and sweet and caramelized, the greens are tender and juicy. I try to book flights that stop in ATL long enough so I can have a meal at Paschal’s. Do yourself a favor and head to concourse B for some delicious treats.

Stopped here between flights when the internet recommended it to me. Sweet mother of glorious tenders, I have found you. These were literally the best tenders I have ever eaten. Great pieces of chicken, awesome breading. When I took the first bite I was so excited that I looked around for someone to talk to about it – there wasn’t anyone so then I tried to call my mom – which doesn’t even make sense because I’m 30 and why would she care… I was food guarding as I ate and plotting how I could take it on the plane. The greens and Mac and cheese were excellent too! You must stop here – or live with forever regret.

Stopped in ATL on my way to SFO and was looking for good southern food. I happen to stumble upon the long line of this joint and decided to join the crowd. It was worth the wait. Fried chicken was very crispy and super moist. Collard greens were hot and yummy 2 piece of chicken comes with two choices of sides and comes with cornbread which is super buttery and savory. The cornbread is not sweet which is perfect but very fatty that I can taste the butter on my taste buds/tongue.(not used to eating butter) Overall good food for the airport with not many good choices. Friendly service as well. Will definitely stop by here if I’m back in ATL

In terms of Airport food you are not going to find better at the Atlanta AKA Hot-lanta airport. I only discovered Paschel’s after complaining to a flight attendant that here really weren’t any decent restaurant in the Atlanta Airport. Said Flight Attendant — said whoa — what about Paschel’s? Paschel’s is tucked info the back of the food courts in terminal B. The two piece chicken dinner is huge and comes with two sides and corn bread. Plenty big enough portions for sharing. I had the 2-piece fried chicken dinner with collard greens & mac and cheese. I couldn’t even begin to finish the meal. All this for $ 10 — not only is this a Southern Indulgence, it’s cheap. The food is served up cafeteria style — but you can see fresh portions coming out of the kitchen in regular intervals. The people serving up the Southern Delicacies are a hoot — friendly and helpful. This is Avery different option from standard airport fare. Give Paschel’s a try the next time you are through Hot-Lanta.
