I was in the area for lunch and shopping. I had time to kill before lunch so I decided to run in and get a couple things. I have to say– interestsing demographic of customers. Perhaps it was because I was there over lunch. There were alot of elderly people. Not that it matters, but it was just surprising. The store is pretty easy to navigate for the most part. I had trouble finding something I needed and had to go threw a few aisles a couple times before finding it. However, I hadn’t found it all at my neighborhood Kroger, so at least it was in stock. Produce was in good shape. Fast checkout.

I accidentally bought a chocolate bar that had apparently been returned because the packaging was taped up. Upon further investigation, I found that there was a chunk missing from the bar! Seriously? Why would they ever put this back on the shelves? Make sure you double check any items you buy from this store because this is probably not the first time this has happened.

This is by far the best Kroger in Atlanta. First off, the surrounding Kroger’s are worthless, I’ll drive extra miles to get here. The store is clean and easy to navigate. Tons of fresh produce and even has a salad bar, frozen yogurt bar, sushi bar, Murray’s cheese bar, and at any given lunch the line is out of the door for its fresh to go food. Their organic/health section is HUGE and they carry tons of great things. You can also make your own peanut butter here. Beer and wine selection is solid, you can create your own six pack of craft and pick up things you can’t elsewhere, thankfully if you can’t find something you’re looking for, there is a liquor store in the same shopping center as well as a new Total Wine opening across the street. Lines are usually short, quick and friendly, boasting about 12 self checkouts and a few 15 and under express lines. This is my go to grocery store, hands down.

Quite possibly the worst, least helpful employees in all of Atlanta. I waited 20 minutes for a price check on an item that had no price on it. While the employee walked around most of the store looking for a handheld because the one right there in the meat dept didn’t work. So TWO more handhelds later, none of them seem to be working, and I’m told I’ll have to bring it up to the front desk. That’s three handhelds total if you’re counting, a quarter of a mile of walking around the store, and a team effort of about six employees. Five of which clearly did not want to be there, and seemingly hate their jobs and their lives. I could have saved 19 minutes if I just went to the front desk originally(well, not including the five minutes I had to stand in line first). I’ve even had an employee once, that told me «We don’t have that». Without bothering to look or ask anyone. Then argue with me when I finally find it and show them«They DO have that.» Because I knew they had it. I just wanted to be pointed in the right direction. Which apparently is like asking someone to part the Red Sea @ Kroger. I rarely shop at Kroger because it s*cks so bad. Other than a handful of items I regularly buy there, and to get my 100 gas points per month. After I hit my 100 I’m done until next month. And you would be wise to check the dates on products you buy @ any Kroger. They have a really bad habit of selling things past expiration date. Thumbs down. Way down.

This is my go-to Kroger. It’s the one I go to every week or right after work when I need to grab something for dinner since it’s on my way home. This Kroger has a nice variety of beers and a decent healthy food section. What I like most is how much variety they have of mostly everything — except for fruit; they could use a bit more variety there. Also, props to the men who work in the produce and meat/seafood departments. The man in produce will help you pick out the freshest veggies, and the man in the meat/seafood department is so friendly and quick on his feet.

I have always had a great experience here. Especially in the produce section. The employees are always happy to help me find ripe veggies/fruit. They go above and beyond.

I’m a Publix guy, let’s start by saying this. But this Kroger is literally right next door to our condo. This place is clean, it’s huge and it’s one of the better grocery stores around the city. They have a make your own peanut butter section and froyo dispensers, both amazing and troubling at the same time. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about the place and go here nearly everyday. Keep it up.

I’ve been shopping at this Brookhaven store since before it was a Kroger(this used to be A&P) and I shop at other Kroger stores without any problem but I can never complete my transactions at this location without a snag requiring a tiresome trip to Customer Service. For instance, I’ve been charged for things that were omitted from the rest of my paid items, requiring a return trip to the store. Clerks repeatedly kept my customer card(and I had it replaced so often) that I finally chained it to my zippered pouch. Fresh meats are not being day/date stamped. I bought a fresh package of food recently with a label promising«8 pieces» that had only 4. I selected two sets of «3 for $ 1» apples the clerk rang up incorrectly by weight which tripled the price. My husband, who seldom grocery-shops and whose eyesight is poor, came home with store-baked bread(date indicated it should have been fresh) that was covered on the underside with blue-green spots and fuzzy mold. A week ago he bought store-brand chilled biscuit dough packed in pop cans that were 7 weeks outdated — by the time I got to the store to return them, both cans had burst open and the dough had oozed all over the inside of the bag. The manger, who was very courteous, said she found 6 more outdated cans just like these in their dairy cooler. She said they have a million products and so sometimes old dates might not be noticed by the stocking staff but these problems don’t happen at other grocery stores, at least not to me. In 2013, at this store, I found a dozen Kroger-brand packs of pudding cups that had expired 18 months prior. I’ve also found cans of Kroger brand organic vegetables with«?» instead of a date. I’ve reported these and many other problems to management both locally & via 800 number & website but problems seem to be growing like that outdated dough. I finally asked the 800 rep if it was corporate policy to sell outdated food and was told NO. Discussing food issues w/Customer Service is exhausting, especially as I am partly disabled. I’ve had to stand in long lines while waiting for others to buy lottery tickets, rent cleaning machines, telegraph money, etc. This store went through a huge expansion lately but instead of having more space for more products, they downsized their inventory which is perhaps a blessing in disguise — I’ve been going elsewhere for groceries — a longer drive but less aggravation.
