Hurricane Air Duct & Carpet Cleaning

The service we received was prompt, efficient and they did a fantastic job on our air vents. They are competitively priced and super friendly!

I thought I was going to have to replace all the carpet in my new home to offset the allergic reaction I was experiencing, which resulted from a previous owner having a cat. A friend mentioned that she had her air ducts cleaned and that solved a lot of respiratory issues for her, so I thought I’d try to the less expensive option first!
I found Hurricane with good reviews on Unilocal and submitted their online form on Christmas Day. I received a call back within a couple of hours, and they were able to send someone out just three days later. The tech who came was punctual, extremely polite, and very professional. I asked him to look at the ducts first and give me an estimate for the cleaning before beginning, so there were no surprises. There’s also a deal here on Unilocal,which I was able to use for a $ 50 discount. He used his camera to show me the insides of my ducts (revolting), and then spent about two hours doing a full and thorough cleaning of the whole house. He also cleaned up the areas around the vents and ducts where dust had fallen out during the cleaning process, vacuumed the carpet in the areas, and climbed into my attic to replace the HVAC filter after he was done (the cleaning process completely filled it with gunk!). The final bill was exactly as originally quoted, although he found one additional vent he didn’t see the first time through which should have increased the cost slightly. They also include a two year warranty on full cleanings, so they will come clean the returns again if there’s any problem.
I was really impressed by the service, price, and quality of Hurricane, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them. I’m sure I’ll recoup the cost of the cleaning with savings on allergy meds in no time, as I can tell a huge difference already both in the quality of the air I’m breathing and the symptoms. Well worth the investment.
TIP: I had a spare, cheap air filter on hand, which I put in just before the cleaning so that I wouldn’t waste my more expensive super-​duper allergen filter. The cheap filter was completely wrecked after the cleaning, and then the technician immediately replaced it with the higher quality filter.

Firstly, thank you Jonathan and Ido for being punctual, spending the time to explain the process, show me the ducts with the camera, and walking me through each box on the checklist, along with the cost.
The two technicians spent from 11:30 — 3:30 doing a deep cleaning on all vents and returns, connector box, and sanitizing the furnace. It was NASTY. And what came out on the filter at the end was even worse. No wonder I have been sneezing! They threw in a free dryer vent cleaning as well.
After they finished, he walked me through everything they did so I could compare before and after. AMAZING!
This company comes highly recommended! They are thorough and the price was extremely competitive! The did the estimate and service quickly, but did not cut corners. Thanks again!!!
