Used HomeSafe to inspect my home around 2⁄2015. Everything seemed to go great until I moved in and needed to turn on my A/C for the first time. Found my entire unit was not working and needed to be replaced along with the air handler($ 3500) within two weeks of closing. The A/C company pointed out many things that I should have caught myself, and things I would have absolutely thought the company I paid to inspect my home would have caught.(I.E most of my town home neighbors with the same units had already had to replace theirs. The inspector wrote in his report«system of this type typically has a lifetime of 15 – 20 years. The systems appeared to be manufactured in 2004 and are about 11 years old… The systems appeared to be in working condition and within their expected life span»). I immediately called HomeSafe and they claimed the owner(Dallas Gamble) would reach out to me. After two weeks of me calling and asking why he had not called he finally sent me an email spelling out all the reasons he was not responsible and would not be offering me any type of compensation. Dallas Gamble acted like a complete coward and even after asking multiple times for him to call and discuss the matter he refused. He decided to do nothing. I just want people to understand that this company is nothing but a rubber stamp and has no care for the customer past getting their payment from them.

As a real estate professional, I’ve dealt with many home inspectors. Dallas and his team at HomeSafe are some of the very best I’ve ever dealt with. I moved into my home 10 years ago and we used another company. I STILL couldn’t tell you where item 1c is located that I was supposed to fix. The house also allegedly had polybutylene pipes, but there’s not an inch of it anywhere. With HomeSafe, you get detailed pictures and written reports showing you EXACTLY where any critical items or potential problems are located. They also scan the walls with military-grade infrared thermal imaging to check for issues not otherwise visible. I’ll have HomeSafe do the next home I buy, for sure!
