Don’t forget that they have some«off menu» items like cheese bread. :)

A group of friends(8) and I came here on a Saturday afternoon before lunch since Flying Biscuit Café was jam packed. We were all able to sit comfortably. I ordered the French Dip Au Jus which was fantastic! The meat was perfectly tender and medium well. I was happy with my meal and would definitely come back!

Great service! Old school service with a fresh menu. I have never understand why people come at peak times and complain. Get there early. The chicken sandwich is amazing.

One of the worst Houston’s locations I’ve ever been in. The parking is terrible, I know it’s not their fault but it is a pain. Tip your valet. We were quoted 45 minutes for a party of 5 for my friend’s birthday. No huge deal. Except we arrived at 7pm and sat down at 8:30pm/8:45pm. Unacceptable. The manager didn’t offer his apologies or anything. Especially after we saw two groups of people stroll in and be seated because they knew someone who worked there. I was livid at that point. But I remained calm and polite to the servers and hostesses. The manager sent two spinach dip appetizers over. The spinach dip was not that tasty. I passed on it after about 3 chips. Just basic, it didn’t taste fresh. I ordered the salmon with seasonal broccoli and potatoes. A member of my party ordered the rotisserie chicken only to be told they were OUTOFCHICKEN. Now if you’ve been to Houston’s you know the menu is small, not much to choose from. I was dumbfounded. 15 minutes later the server says that they DO have chicken. Where did you get it from!!! Anyway I was disappointed in the salmon. It was bland, not seasoned well. The potatoes are yummy but I love potatoes. I just don’t know what went wrong because at the Memphis location we always enjoy. Not this time. Tisk Tisk. P. S. you can bring your own wine and they don’t have a cork fee.

I can’t say enough about Houston’s. It is the definition of high level consistency. From the atmosphere, to the service, to the food… Houston’s continuously provides one of the best dining experiences in Atlanta. We went to Houston’s for my birthday last night. We wanted to be adventurous, but that is not an easy task when going out to eat on a Monday night. I told Kelly, why don’t we just go to Houston’s and I’m glad we did. Houston’s exposed brick, soft lighting and live jazz music provide such a low-key, yet up scale and comfortable dining experience. The place was packed on a Monday night, and I think that alone speaks for itself. As always, we started with the Chicago style Spinach and Artichoke dip. This is hands down the best spinach and artichoke dip on the planet. It is creamy and served with salsa and sour cream. Grab one of their perfectly crispy chips and get a little bit of each on your chip and you will find happiness. Kelly ordered the Emerald Kale and Rotisserie Salad, which I’ve had many times before, and as always it was amazing. Dark meat chicken with incredible dressing. Refreshing and light, but filling. I went with my go to, the Barbecue Ribs with coleslaw and frehcn fries. The Ribs are fall of the bone amazing, and the fries and coleslaw are the perfect compliment. I have only had fantastic meals here inculding the Hawaiin Ribeye and the Pork Chops. I will continue going to Houston’s for as long as we live in Atlanta and if we move, I will go to Houston’s when we come back to visit. That’s my word and I’m sticking to it.

I love the intimate lighting with little more than single spotlights on each table or booth in this upscale American bistro in the south end of Buckhead. Houston’s, just steps off busy Peachtree, delivers a stellar dining experience in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I also love the open kitchen concept which comes immediately into view as you enter the restaurant. Our large group of seven walked past steaks, chops and ribs cooking on the grill as you make your way to your table. My son, now living in Buckhead, tipped me off that the best thing OFF the menu(that’s right… it’s nowhere on the menu) is the«Pork Chop». He was absolutely right! The«Pork Chop» turned out to be a bone-free Pork Tenderloin carved and standing a full 2″ thick like a primo Filet Mignon. Void of any trace of fat, it literally melted in my mouth and was the best offering of pork I have ever eaten. The balance of our meals were excellent including delicious salads, entrees of beef and chicken and a pair of chocolaty desserts. My highest recommendation for any special or everyday occasion… Cinco all day long.

This is a pretty good restaurant however I wish they would broaden their menu. In my opinion there’s not a lot to choose from I usually just get the Hawaiian steak and mashed potato or I believe it’s called the fried cod fish sandwich. Other than that is just a regular Steakhouse

I definitely love this place! The drinks are always on point and the service is always A1. The spinach dip is a must have. I was being greedy when I went the last time and got the ribs — AWESOME — !!! I visit here maybe 2 — 3 times a month. Great for nice business meetings, date or family outing.

I love coming to this place. The atmosphere is nice. I enjoy the live music. The food is excellent. I have not had anything here that wasn’t good. Trying a salad for the first time but I am sure it will be good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The drinks speak for themselves.

Houstons always has great service in a nice relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend The tuna mango salad for lunch or light meal and the filet if you are in the mood for steak. I go to this location often and always have a wonderful experience! I’ve taken friends and had work lunch/diner meetings here… Good go to place if you want to be sure you’ll have good experience!

Cannot wait to return! Really enjoyed my experience here. The service was phenomenal and the food was delicious. The Club Salad with Buttermilk Garlic(Ranch) dressing and cheese toast was great. The wine, recommended by my server, was perfect as well. The entire menu had great options. Atmosphere was wonderful. You must try the brownie for dessert!

Despite a small hiccup in the service, this restaurant deserves 5 stars… I have eaten at several Houston’s over the years in the Atlanta area and it has never disappointed one bit. Their service model is just so wonderful and thoughtful. My dear friend and I decided for a Saturday afternoon lunch at Houston’s. I love this restaurant, I really do. The ambiance is lovely and calming and the service is always fantastic but most importantly, the food is marvelous and has never once disappointed me. This trip, I opted for the roasted chicken with the kale salad and iced tea. Just to get it out of the way now… the only little hiccup was asking for simple syrup and not getting it on the first ask… another server was quick to help out, ours was delightful but perhaps a tad green. My friend suggested the kale salad, and while I am not a huge fan of kale, I do enjoy it. I was a bit hesitant but ordered it none the less and WOW… it was sooooo goooood. The chicken was so juicy and tender and flavorful. My guest opted for the Prime Rib, and according to her… it was absolutely delicious! The 2nd best thing about Houston’s is the service. Though we had a primary server, we were attended to by no less than 4 other staff members. This model allows for guests to always feel as though their needs are being taken care of, because quite frankly– they are. Though the restaurant is a busy place, the staff always seem cheerful and willing to help out no matter what. Even though Houston’s is a chain– and I am not particularly fond of chain restaurants– they hit the mark and then some. Other chain restaurants should take notice. A very very satisfied long time customer here!

Love the place as a Lunch haunt every two weeks, if you have to try anything — Hawaiian Ribeye and the French Dip Croissant are guilty pleasures for me!

Houston’s is a restaurant I’ve been coming to for many years. I like it. Although, I only find myself here for lunch due to the proximity to work. The fact that Houston’s is a chain restaurant hasn’t been a problem for me. I’ve had really good service and never had a bad meal… always enjoy my food! Today, we were seated in a nice, quiet booth by the window. Our server was gracious and provided black napkins due to the business attire of my colleague and myself. Definitely appreciated that! Recently, I think my biggest issue is related to the overall value. It seems like the menu prices have been steadily increasing, which I noticed today during my business lunch here. For appetizers, we started with the Spinach Artichoke dip, which was sufficiently cheesy, creamy and spinachy LOL. However, for the life of me… I cannot understand why it was $ 13. For my lunch entrée, I had the Ahi Tuna Salad for $ 18, which was yummy! My colleague ordered the Gulf Coast Fish Sandwich at $ 17. She enjoyed it and the portion size was nice, but we definitely didn’t think it warranted the price tag. Overall, it was a very good lunch and I left satisfied. If the value was a bit more aligned… I would have definitely given 4 stars. I’m sure I’ll be back, but probably at the suggestion of someone else, like today. Please note, there is construction going on in the lot beside/behind the restaurant, so it can be a bit congested getting in and out. There is complimentary valet though, FYI. Happy Eating!

I’ve eaten take out from here several times in the last few weeks, it’s a favorite option for my boss. I’ve had a salad every time & have enjoyed all but one of them. Last visit in I subbed out my chicken for their buttermilk fried chicken since I was having a misbehaving diet day. Thankfully they put it on the side so it didn’t ruin my salad. The chicken looked tempura ish but was actually just tons of chunks of mushy batter. No joke, I had 3 tiny(smaller than a chicken nugget) sized pieces of chicken & a container full of greasy breading stuff. My coworker did the same thing & had the same result. That said, my Caesar salads are always great, just stick to the roasted or grilled chicken! Also tried the tortilla soup last trip in, it was delicious. I’ve never had the French dip, but it must be good because my boss always gets it, like once a week :)

Damn, I got two 5 stars in one day?! Houston’s was awesome! I ordered the jumbo lump crab cakes and it was extremely delicious! I also had whipped potatoes and mix vegetables to go along with it. The setting was wonderful as were the waiters and waitresses who made sure that we never had to ask for anything. The band was also very pleasant as they played nice classical jazz for us while we dined. The modern yet cozy wood filled interior design was very warm and set the perfect mood. We only waited about 45 mins to get a table which actually flew by as we enjoyed good weather and conversation! Would I recommend? I think you already know the answer to that question!

Suit up! I work in the area and I feel like Houston’s is everyone’s go-to power lunch place in Buckhead. I’ve been here a handful of times and they were always business lunches. As a result, I’ve only ever tried the salads(in particular, the ahi tuna salad) because that’s pretty much the only thing I can eat somewhat gracefully. That said, I cut into a tomato wedge yesterday and it squirted everyfreakinwhere!!! Luckily, it didn’t hit my VPLOL. That would be disastrous… 4 stars for being a solid, dependable business lunch spot.

After six years, I guess it was time to give this Houston’s another visit. And…good stuff. Totally new staff save one awesome server(ask for Nicole if you are sitting in the dining room) and a new management régime. If you sit at the bar like we did yesterday, try to go when Brittany is working; she is good at her job as well as having perfect lipstick(red, no less). OK, she’s fun to talk to as well. A few changes, at least since I’ve last been: *prices have gone up noticeably(not surprising at this location bc I had noticed this at other locations). *uncertain why rosemary focaccia is now an app… odd. *the delicious grilled artichokes are now a full-time app option not just a special. *like many places, there are kale options if you’re focusing on your greens. *club salad(so good) is only listed on the lunch menu but you can get it at dinner. *no more Biltmore sandwich(so sad) and when I asked why they couldn’t still make it, the interesting answer is that they don’t use whole grilled chicken breast for any dish any longer. The«replacement» is the crispy chicken, which is good(and in three solid pieces it’s a big and/or shareable sandwich. *no club sandwich anymore. I think because they no longer user sliced deli style meats for any other dish so decided to eliminate the club. This makes me very sad. *live jazz nightly, rather than just on some Sundays. Oh, and the fries still rock. Glad to know one of my longtime favorite *happy place* is back on the good side of the tracks.

I had a late lunch at Houston’s last week. The service was excellent as usual, on this occasion provided by an S. E. Cupp lookalike. I don’t have much to add to what the other 149 Unilocalers have already said about Houston’s. Truth be told, I really just needed an excuse to upload this picture to my gallery of local photos. Isn’t this a beautiful entrée? When the server delivered the plate to my table, the lady sitting in the booth next to me turned to stare. «What’s that you ordered?» «Cajun Trout with Creamed Corn.» «Mmmm, looks good. That’s what I should have got.» It was delicious. The trout was fresh and well-seasoned. The creamed corn had a garden-fresh, bright flavor that literally tasted like sunshine… SOGOOD! No question that I’ll have to order it again next time.
