A MUST if you’re ever in Ponce City Market. I actually consider getting dessert first whenever we come here to eat. My favorites: coffee, brown butter, and of course, Nutella. The coffee flavor is for you if you actually want your gelato/milkshake to taste like bold coffee instead of that watered down ish. The Nutella is so good you’ll want to make out with it, then bathe in it. Seriously, go.

Loved the shakes! They let you combine two flavors with one topping and mix it up in a little mason jar. I wish the shakes were a bit larger, but they are still worth getting for $ 6.

Amazing Gelato. I got the honeysuckle fig with pistachio and amaretto cookie crumbles. They give samples to try and this one was my favorite. I recommend going here to get some amazing Gelato in ATL

I honestly did not expect the gelato to be so refreshingly sweet and decadent! When I go for an scoop, my spoon just sinks in because the texture is smooth and soft! I got a scoop of the coffee and roasted marshmallow gelato. First off, the wooden spoon they give you is absolutely adorable! It seemed so fragile that I thought it would break in the middle of me eating the gelato, but it’s tougher than I thought. The coffee was definitely what I hoped it to be. It mimics the actual coffee flavor very accurately, so for those of you who love coffee and sugar, this gelato is it! It does give off a little bit of the bitter taste like actual coffee, but if you’re a real coffee lover like me, this only adds into the overarching deliciousness. The roasted marshmallow actually just tastes like caramel to me, but it serves as a great complement to the coffee! If you like coffee flavored but are not too fond of the bitterness, get the roasted marshmallow on the side because when they mix, it just takes like a nice caramel frappuccino gelato! Love the taste, love the texture! Definitely will be back soon!

Follow that massive line that lurches into a back corner of PCM near Jia. And there is a line for good reason. Honeysuckle has some outstanding gelato and the day they switch out the honey fig with another flavor will be a sad one for me. My first run in with HG was at Honey Bubble where they have some of their gelato available, I wasn’t really impressed there to be honest. It was good, they have a green tea gelato which had a lovely flavor, but it was more ice cream than gelato. It’s been awhile though. Here at ground zero it’s phenomenal. I’ve tried the honey fig, pistachio, coffee, honey lavender, dark chocolate, bourbon, and a few other flavors but I always end up getting the honey fig. It has little bits of fig in it and tastes a bit like a graham crackers especially if you top it off with amaretti crumbles. The texture of the cookie to gelato is great and then the flavor makes me a clear fan of HG. Along the other flavors— bourbon is as you’d guess. coffee was never on my list to try, but we were accidentally given it once and the texture was super smooth and flavor had a subtle coffee flavoring, but not overpowering. Dark chocolate is the perfect chocolate flavor to me and they got rid of the honey lavendar which was a floral flavored vanilla with lavender bits if I can recall. I’ve never had the gelato from their food truck but had seen them around. I’m really glad they have a stall here at PCM now though, cause I probably would have never bought from the truck— only because dairy from a truck didn’t seem to bode well in my mind. It’s silly, but it is what it is. Cup, cone, or shake! 2 samples per person and even some sorbet for the dairy intolerant. Next time, I’ll be trying the mango and raspberry! Well worth the wait.

I can’t believe how much gelato you get for your $ 5. The scoops are very generous and includes a topping, AND comes with a waffle cone that doesnt cost you another $ 1.00 like every other ice cream shop does. Because I love ice cream so much, value often sets places apart for me with all else being equal(i.e. unique flavors and quality ingredients). I may have a new favorite ice cream spot in the ATL. TIP: They have a rewards card for the $ 5 purchases.

This place is a cute little gelato store hidden inside Ponce City Market. There are great flavors but nothing out of the ordinary.

I came around lunch time on Saturday. The line was long which is a good sign. I waited about 30 – 40 minutes in the line before I got to order. They have shake, cone, cup options. I went with two-scoop cup option $ 5. I chose pistachio and honey fig gelato scoops with ameritti(spelling?) crumble as topping. It was pretty good. I wasn’t crazy though. I walked along the beltline eating my treat.

Honeysuckle Gelato opened a stall inside Ponce City Market in September 2015. This is their first dedicated shop. They had a food truck from 2011 to 2013 and their gelato is sold in various retail outlets throughout the Southeast. The gelato I’ve had from Honeysuckle has been very good! Honeysuckle is located inside PCM’s Central Food Hall, but hidden off the main drag. Walking around PCM with gelato in hand, multiple people asked, «Where did you get that ice cream?» You can find Honeysuckle’s stall behind Lucky Lotus juice bar and Simply Seoul Kitchen near the spiral staircase on the first floor. The shop is a tiny corner counter(approximately 200 square feet) packed with lots of deliciousness. Flavors available when I visited: Gelato: Nutella Cinnamon Toasted coconut Brown butter Honey fig Pistachio Vanilla Dark chocolate Peppermint Bourbon Maple Toasted marshmallow Sorbet: Raspberry Pear Toppings included sea-salted caramel, espresso caramel, peanut butter caramel, fudge, blueberry preserves, whipped cream, chocolate chips, toasted almonds, pecans, and amaretti crunch. Pricing: 1 scoop(cup or cone) — $ 3.50 2 scoops and 1 topping(cup or cone) — $ 5 Shake — $ 6 Gelato cookie sandwich — $ 5 Cookie options included pie crust, brownie, chocolate chip, and gingerbread. Honeysuckle has combination recommendations. For example, a couple gelato-topping combos they recommend are dark chocolate and vanilla bean gelato topped with sea-salted caramel and maple and cinnamon gelato topped with blueberry preserves. Yum. Shakes and gelato sandwiches work similarly. You can choose one of Honeysuckle’s recommended combos or create your own gelato combo, shake, or sandwich. Ask for samples, though be mindful of the folks in line behind you. I tried several flavors. In general, Honeysuckle’s gelato is dense, rich, and creamy. The flavors are pretty straightforward. I love their simplicity. When it comes to ice cream, I generally steer towards simpler flavors anyway(though admittedly, all the creative concoctions at Jeni’s are quite tasty too). Custom combinations I tried included brown butter and pistachio gelato topped with amaretti crumbles(not far off from one of Honeysuckle’s recommendations — we replaced honey fig with brown butter) and vanilla and Nutella gelato topped with sea-salted caramel. They were terrific. We got nice, big scoops. Your mileage may vary, but our wonderful server wanted to make sure we got a good bang for our buck. One of her coworkers actually commented that she’d given us a bit too much. Oh well. Each scoop was lusciously sweet, heavy, and full of flavor. The amaretti were finely crumbled and provided a pleasant contrasting texture and a subtly nutty flavor. The sea-salted caramel was delectably thick and gooey(it’s a sauce). It was poured on top and added another satisfying layer of decadence. I was told it’s Honeysuckle’s most popular topping. Of the gelato flavors I tried, Nutella was my favorite. However, the others weren’t far behind. They were all delightful. Parking at Ponce City Market costs $ 1 for every 30 minutes. In metro Atlanta, you can find Honeysuckle Gelato sold by the scoop or pint at other stores like Alon’s, Honey Bubble, Savi Provisions, Star Provisions, The Fresh Market, Whole Foods, and Kroger(select locations). For a complete list of retailers, check out this page on Honeysuckle’s web site: . Enjoy!

If you stand the line to get it. This place is definitely worth the wait. You get tons of flavors to pick from and the price is where it should be for gelato. The place is right next to King of Pops which also has it’s own line that will make you contemplate to eat that or the gelato. Depending on who you get to scoop your ice cream it could end up looking like a piece of art or a clump of horror. Either way it tastes delicious. Overall, this is one of must trys in the food court. Anyone visiting needs to make this one of places to hit up for sure. Definitely recommended My recommendations: –pistachio and honey fig

Though I’m more of an ice cream person, I wanted to try out Honeysuckle Gelato after hearing so much about it from fellow dessert enthusiasts. It was a weekday evening, and there was only one employee manning the shop. She seemed a tad frazzled and kept thanking us for being patient. She also called out which flavors were out so we could make sure to cross them off our lists. Considering how much business is done, I’d hope HG would spring for a second employee. No one likes lines. At least waiting gave me time to decide what I wanted. $ 5 gets you two mountainous scoops and a free topping. I don’t typically get toppings but hey, it was free, and Honeysuckle offers quite a lot of them. I ended up with fudge which was fine. Maybe I’ll get one of the caramels next time. Peanut butter caramel has intrigued me. Two of us were in agreement that the cheesecake tasted strange. It started off strongly but then ended on an odd note, sort of like an artificial sweetener-metallic taste. I regretted not getting a sample first and fondly remembered Morelli’s Brooklyn cheesecake. Anyway, I ate it quickly so I could get it over with and focus on the Nutella which was the right palate cleanser. It reminded me of milk chocolate but I was fine with it. Texture is more on the softer and lighter side. To sum up: Be patient waiting in line, try before you buy, and steer clear of the cheesecake.

Gelato shop inside the Ponce Street Market! It’s kind of hidden behind other shops next to the Popsicle shop They offer shakes or gelato cookie sandwiches if you’re not satisfied with just gelato scoops —dark chocolate gelato: mmmmm rich, perfect since I was craving fudgsicles! I also enjoyed how crisp and fresh the cone was NOTE: they limit sampling to 2 flavors per person

Italian gelato has got to be the best ice cream in the world. After having it almost everyday on a trip to Italy, I had some pretty high standards for it. Ponce City Market Food Hall has some great gelato for a pretty affordable price — definitely not the price I would find in Firenze, but not bad for Atlanta. $ 5 gets you two scoops and a topping on a cone or in a cup. I enjoy simple and semi-sweet flavors, some of which include the pistachio(tastes just like a pistachio), brown butter(just straight up butter which is AWESOME) and honey fig. Drizzle some honey on top and voila, dessert is ready. I honestly prefer Honeysuckle Gelato to the option of Jeni’s at Krog Street. Is that blasphemous?

I’m starting this review laughing because there was a review written 5 hours ago about a girl who had an attitude that worked at this gelato shop and I think I just encountered her myself. I haven’t visited this gelato shop before so I asked a few questions. The first question I had to repeat because she didn’t even answer me(after she already said«how can I help you?» & was looking directly at me). Then I asked if they offered hot fudge. She said no pointed to refrigerator. No explanation, just pointing. Ok? So what is it that you have instead? I could tell that she was ready for the encounter to be over. I should’ve just said thank you and left but my pregnant butt wanted some gelato dang it! I simply ordered a scoop of vanilla gelato with chocolate sauce. It was a tiny scoop, sauce was watered down and no vanilla bean in the gelato. Not impressed and won’t be back. Oh well

I had a similar experience as a customer below. The gelato was fine, nothing too crazy(Talenti is better) but the customer service was off for me. I was with a group of 4 this past Friday and there were 2 girls working. One of them was nice and friendly. The other was rude, impatient and acted annoyed with us. After I asked for a sample of my second choice she said«all of our flavors taste as described-if it says strawberry, it tastes like strawberry.» Okay girl! That’s cool– but I’m still gonna want to try whatever flavor I am ordering. Thanks for your help explaining that! I will stop at King of Pops from now on.

«12:47 on February 1st: You knowingly ingested gelato. Gelato isn’t vegan?» — Scott Pilgrim vs. the World(2010) I have found my perfect spot in Ponce City Market and it is tucked away in a quaint little corner and it costs me only $ 5 for a cone of sweet, delightful goodness. I’m not sure how this model works as I feel like I am stealing from them, especially since they donate 5% of all sales to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. How do they make any money? Here’s what you do — walk up and pick 2 flavors(you can try a couple to make sure you are picking a good combo) and decide if you want a cup or a cone(I recommend the cone) and then select a topping(the salted caramel or the fudge sauce are both clear winners to me). Then, pay your $ 5(plus tax) and enjoy your gelato treat! By the way, you can do the same thing(sans the cone) and turn it into a delicious shake. YUM! The staff is great — super friendly, funny, and helpful. They are patient and willing to let you try something if you aren’t sure — but ask that you limit it to 2 tastes to make time for others and keep the line moving… and there is usually a line. My personal favorite flavors are the Dark Chocolate, Peppermint, Brown Butter and Fresh Mint. But truly, everything I have tried has been delightful. Run, don’t walk to this stall and eat some gelato and help out the ACFB. But when I show up, please step out of my way!

I am in LOVE with Honeysuckle Gelato. I’m hooked! My friends and I decided to try out Honeysuckle Gelato on a Sunday night after dinner. We did have a bit of a trouble locating them since it’s no on the main strip of PCM. Honeysuckle Gelato located next to Kings of Pops and behind Simply Seoul Kitchen all inside Ponce City Market. They have tons of flavors and toppings to choose from. They even sell by the pint, tshirts, bottled sauces, and koozies. How it works: Options are below. GELATO — 1 scoop + cup or cone is $ 3 — 2 scoops + 1 topping + cup or cone is $ 5. It can be two different flavors. SANDWICH — 1 flavor + 1 topping + 1 cookie is $ 5 SHAKE — 2 flavors + 1 topping + glass mason jar is $ 6. You also get to keep the mason jar which I think it so cool. What I ordered: — Scoop of each Vanilla Bean and Brown Butter with Sea-Salt Caramel Topping: I love Vanilla Bean and they got it just right. I didn’t think I would like Brown Butter, but when I got a sample of it, it was so good. The texture of their gelato is so smooth. The flavors aren’t too overpowering which I like I got my gelato in a waffle cone which was fresh and crisp. — My friend ordered the dark chocolate with peppermint bark topping and she loved it! Service was great. The staff were very patient with each of us letting us try samples of their flavors. Checkout was simple and quick. They use the iPad process to check us out. I love that they are also giving back to the community. 5% of all sales go towards the Atlanta Community Food Bank and every time we spend $ 5, we are providing a meal to someone in need. Overall, this is my new favorite ice cream joint. I’m going to tell and bring all my friends and family here to try them out as well! :)

This is truly some of the best gelato I’ve ever had! Every flavor I sampled REALLY tasted decadent and authentic. I also appreciated the consistency; it was more frozen than melty, unlike a lot of gelato I’ve had. I ended up with dark chocolate and maple, with the peanut butter caramel sauce on top. It would be a hard decision to get anything else — it was rich and perfect. I felt like the price($ 5) was pretty good for the serving size. Granted I just had dinner, but I was stuffed after eating the cup of gelato. I’m a huge ice cream fan, and Honeysuckle may be my new favorite ice cream/gelato place in town!

My friend D. K recommended this place when we went to eat Holeman & Finch burgers at PCM. It was so packed that we had to wait for a good twenty minutes just to order our gelatos. Normally, I tend to prefer gelato over ice-cream because it is made with milk instead of cream. It’s lighter and less fat which was perfect, considering that I had just inhaled a double-patty cheeseburger and a milk shake. Decadence was in full throttle for this weekend. I was so full, I could only get one scoop of gelato. Tip: although a double scoop is listed on the menu, you can get a single and get charged $ 3.50. However, it’s better bang for your buck to get a double and try two flavors for $ 5.00. I however, was way too full, and I didn’t want to waste good gelato. The cup or cone also comes with a topping. This is key. I ordered one scoop of the maple gelato. Maple is one of my favorite flavors: it’s not as rich or buttery as caramel, but it’s not as light or acidic as honey. It’s a nice balance between the richness and the sweetness of syrups. Are you ready for the kicker? Espresso Caramel. Everyone always goes for the salted caramel topping. As soon as I saw espresso caramel, I threw all other toppings out the window. Think about it, bittersweet espresso caramel has an almost slightly burnt flavor to it yet the bitterness will bring out the sweetness of the caramel. Combined with the lightness of the maple — perfect combo. I would buy a jug of this topping in and of itself, without the gelato. This topping alone is worth five stars. FIVESTARS. The gelato gets four. I wish to God I wasn’t so full that day so that I could have gotten the bourbon flavored gelato, I think that would have gone amazingly well with the espresso caramel topping. SO. Now you know my secret. After sharing the topping with the rest of my friends, I wish I had asked for extra.

I’ve had Honeysuckle Gelato from their food truck, but this was my first time having it at Ponce City Market, where there are more flavors available. The line moves pretty quickly, so don’t worry if there’s a queue. I had two scoops in a cup: dark chocolate and toasted coconut, topped with toasted almonds. This was nutty from the toasted almonds and the toasted coconut gelato doesn’t taste artificial at all like many coconut flavored treats do. I usually dark chocolate because it’s not as sweet and Honeysuckle’s dark chocolate gelato went perfectly with the other flavors. My boyfriend had the brownie cookie sandwich with toasted marshmallow gelato. The«cookie» was actually really thin and kind of like a stiff fudge. You actually have a choice of topping with each sandwich, but he opted for nothing else. The cookie is a nice texture and a pretty good size for what you’re getting. Ponce City Market is a bit far for me, but if I were down here again and wanted something sweet, then Honeysuckle Gelato would be the perfect treat. I’d come back again.
