I was really disappointed with this food truck. I thought not only was it overpriced for sliders(I got plain cheeseburger ones), but the patty was about half the size of the bun. I enjoyed the wide array of chip and drink options though.

I ordered their Asian Fusion burger($ 2.79) which had shredded chicken drenched in sweet sauce with a touch of BBQ and a dash of cabbage. It was dripping in deliciousness. The buns were toasty and buttery. The wait wasn’t long either. Overpriced and overly delicious, I love it!

Meh. Not bad. But the burger was crunchy and WAY salty(and believe me, I already have a salty palate), and the buffalo chicken slider was shredded chicken, which is not what I was expecting or desired. It also tasted more like barbecue than buffalo. Not my favorite food truck, but I could give it another try sometime.

Since it’s not one of the regulars at Howell Mill street food night, I decided to give Slider U a try. I’m a fan of small food and small burgers are no exception. I decided on the philly cheesesteak. Thanks to David K’s review, I knew to expect the Cheez Whiz on it. I’ve never actually had a true philly cheesesteak, but this appeared to be a faithful interpretation in miniature form. The onions could’ve done with a little more cooking, but the meat was on point. I thought $ 2.75 was a little high for the amount of food you’re getting and perhaps the 3 slider deal is a better choice. Overall, it was good, but not anything worth rushing back for.

Food Truck Fridays, part II… I was pleasantly surprised by how good their sliders were. Had the cheeseburger — it was juicy, with the cheese melted on it just right, and the pulled pork — not too saucy, with just a hint of spice… both were excellent. And the toasted buns were a nice touch. Paired them with fries from Yumbii, and it made for a great Friday lunch with the girls.

Let me just say, I wasn’t expecting to like Slider U. I mean, you make sliders. What is unique about that? The only reason I got in their line was because the line for Yumbii was insane. I ordered the pulled pork slider($ 2.75). It was actually a little bigger than expected. About the size of your palm(unless you have giant man hands). It came with a mayo-based coleslaw on top, which I wasn’t jazzed about, but I gave it a try. I took one bite and the first taste to hit me was the buttery toasted bun. Next the juicy pulled pork bbq. I’m very picky about bbq, but this was delish. Not dripping with sauce, spiced to perfection. The coleslaw was very mild and refreshing. It didn’t overwhelm the taste of the pork at all. I am interested in trying the cheeseburgers and the buffalo chicken(while they have it). I agree with people about the addition of sauces. Maybe if they created their own unique sauce as well like many of the burger boutiques? Also, they would do well to add some fun sides, like fried pickles or sweet potato tator tots!

I agree with the other reviewers on this one. Good concept and decent food. I expected something to standout about their food, but maybe that’s the point? It’s the classic american burgers in smaller versions. I got my daughter the cheese burger sliders and I tried the Asian Fusion Chicken. My daughter said the burger was good. I enjoyed the chicken slider. I personally think if they offered a variety of sauces, instead of the regular ketchup and mustard as condiments, they’d be better. I will try them again.

buffalo chicken slider + philly slider + David K. = Damnit he got the first review! The buffalo chicken was shredded and the philly meat was more chopped up pieces of steak rather than sliced. 2.75 per slider which is a bit much in my opinion. Also, the buns were the kind where the brown toasty part falls off easily. I don’t know if you guys follow me, but it just didn’t taste fresh. This is a new truck, I think, so I’ll go back one more time.

The overall concept of this truck is cool. It’s run by a group of recent college grads who want to bring good food to people at cheap prices. The prices are reasonable and I can definitely see this being a huge draw during GA Tech games. I mean, don’t college kids love cheese covered anything? I’m specifically speaking of the cheesesteak slider. I was good… and cheesy, but melted nacho cheese wasn’t what I was expecting. Out of the ones I tried the pork slider is my favorite. My least favorite is the cheeseburger one. Christopher P. and I checked out this truck together today during Street Food Thursday. He got the buffalo chicken slider and after I saw it I wished I had order it do. Apparently it’s one of their weekly specials, so it might not be available all the time.
