Great food and service! We stopped in for appetizers — scallion pancakes with curry sauce, veggie dumplings with kimchi, and soy chicken skewers with curry sauce. Everything was well-prepared and presented so nicely. The restaurant is so clean and very tastefully decorated.

CLOSEDFORPRIVEPARTY«ON A SATURDAYNIGHT!» ZERONOTICEONWEBSITE!!! Driving through Atlanta on family trip with young children we found this place & had looked over the menu/website several times in anticipation — even called(no answer). Planned to arrive at 5:30pm on a Saturday, thinking it was perfect timing with the kids. After 5 hour drive from Florida, battling highway traffic in ATL, parking on structure, and walking up to the restaurant door we find out«CLOSEDFORPRIVATEPARTY.» Wouldn’t someone think to post that information on the website(or even voicemail), especially since private parties are usually booked far in advance??? WHAT A LETDOWN!!! For a foodie vegan and his hungry family we were quite upset. Won’t go back, but hope this review helps prevent this from happening to others.

Yes. I second everyone else’s rave review about the Pom Pom Mushroom dish. The sauce is likely being inspired by the commonly seen black pepper sauce for steak in China. For dessert, The gelato I got the Cardamom flavor. Very interesting texture and it is refreshing, balancing out the bold sauce from the entrée pretty well.

Super Tasty Vegan Everything was delicious and the place is beautiful. Im not vegan, but like to do vegan. I can’t eat gluten or dairy so this place is PERFECT. My date is not vegan or has any food allergies and he LOVED everything too. Order the Pom pom mushroom steak, its amazingly good! They have gluten free beers. And with the ice-cream I wanted to cry of joy :) The service is excellent.

I ordered the king oyster entrée and coconut soup. Both were amazing! For dessert I had the caramel cake. Serving portions are perfect… Not too little and not too much! Free parking and a friendly staff. I will visit again!

I came here on Mother’s Day with my family and some friends — finally something they can eat! I really liked the variety and that they took some foods I normally like already up a notch. The servers were all very friendly and I enjoyed all the offerings in the buffet that day. I don’t remember the names of everything, but I particularly liked their fancy version of crab rangoon and their curry-filled and taro-filled dumpling-like things… I could totally see those being items as h’ordeuvres for an event! I’ll have to come back on a regular day where they aren’t offering the buffet special because I have been eyeing some dishes other folks have posted…

Amazing restaurant! I am visiting from out of town and was worried I wouldn’t be able to find food that catered to my unique dietary needs(dairy-free, gluten-free, and soy-free, among other things). I was so excited when I found this restaurant within walking distance of my hotel! I started with the coconut soup and one of their cold-pressed juices, then had the grilled eggplant with garlic as my main entrée. I was blown away by how flavorful everything I ordered was! The atmosphere was also lovely, and the service was great(I had Ryan, and he did a fantastic job!) I personally don’t have a single complaint. I will definitely be sure to return to Herban Fix next time I am in Atlanta!

Tried this place for the first time today and I cannot recommend it enough. The locations is less than 10 walking minutes from my work office. The décor is very upscale and beautiful. Zen like its the best way to describe it. Though I was dressed rather casually, I did not feel out of place at all. I ate alone and ordered the Pan Seared Scallion Pancakes for my appetizer and then the Crispy Eggplant Entrée with organic kale as my side. It was vegan heaven in my mouth. Very flavorful yet not too heavy on the spices. Everything was just right, including the portion sizes. Now, this is not a cheap place. but its not overly expensive either. Very well worth every dime in my opinion. I will be going back again, and again, and again really soon!

I’ve always been a carnivore but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t know how to appreciate good Chinese vegetarian food. Growing up, some of the best meals I’ve had were at temples(or restaurants around them) serving vegetarian food. Before Herban Fix, I used to go to Green Sprouts and Harmony. They were good, but not excellent. I’ve always wondered why no one would open up a Chinese vegetarian restaurant that’s higher in scale, better in food quality, and healthier to your body(some of the dishes from Green Sprouts and Harmony are pretty high in calories). So when I found out this place exists through Unilocal,my wife and I went to it. And we were not disappointed! I had an order of the beef noodle soup and its flavor would rival the non-vegetarian ones. In fact, it’s so memorable I want a bowl right now! The noodles were very well done in that it’s smooth and bounce in your mouth at the same time. We also had desserts afterwards and despite it’s a Chinese restaurant, it serves Western style desserts. Yet, it was wonderful. Again, they were flavorful but not making you feel like you’ve eaten a cow afterwards. Parking situation at this place is fairly awesome given its location. It’s located at the ground floor of a condo building so the condo has assigned 50+ parking spaces for it in the parking deck. You just have to entered it via the side street(forgot its name) and it’s free of charge. Service is quick, attentive, and informative. The only thing we didn’t try out was the alcohol and given it has a full bar, I hope we’ll find that area exciting as well the next time we visit.

This vegan and vegetarian restaurant will win over meat lovers, including myself. The menu was filled with ingredients I’m not familiar with — galangal, enoki, baozi, Ponzu, aburaage, etc. It’s helpful to look at pictures beforehand or just go with the other ingredients that sounds familiar. I feel like you can’t really go wrong with any of the dishes here. The food is gourmet and beautifully presented. I liked everything I tried during my dinner here. Overall great menu, good food, but on the expensive side. The décor is modern and classy. The service was good, albeit on the slow side. I ordered a glass of wine and they seemed a little skimpy on the pour. Spicy Tofu Soup $ 6 — This soup was good, filled with tofu and mushrooms, and not too spicy. Veggie Spring Roll $ 7(2) — A step above your average spring roll, great flavors and wrap. Steamed Bun with crispy soy duck $ 9(2) — I’m not sure I would have guess duck, but it was very tasty. Pan Seared Scallion Pancakes with curry dip $ 6 — These were ok, more on the bland side. Seared Pom Pom Mushroom $ 19 — Served with a side of rice. I had a bite of this popular dish and it was good. Stir-fry Soy Chicken $ 18 — Served with a side of rice. Taste and feel like chicken, it’s amazing! The Brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly. Truffle Wild Rice with assorted mushrooms $ 17 — This was my main dish of the night and I really enjoyed it. It tasted like a very good fried rice with lots of mushrooms, very flavorful! I didn’t taste the truffle, but the flavors that were there were great. For dessert, they offered different types of cakes and gelato. Cardamom gelato $ 7 — Pricey but delicious! It reminded me of those Indian sweets(the cookie looking ones). I also tried a bite of the Espresso gelato, which was also good. Free parking in the garage around the corner from the restaurant on Linden St. There’s a sign by the garage entrance with the space numbers allocated to the restaurant.

I brought my mom here(not vegan) just because it had such awesome reviews. I was first of all surprised at how beautiful the restaurant was! the service was also good… everyone was really nice and knowledgeable. our pea ravioli was an amazing appetizer, and my grilled eggplant was soooooo good. all the different spices and flavors yummm. My mom loved her quinoa roll, too, so we switch halfway through. everything was great and their attention to detail was notable. I wish I lived a bit closer! but I will definitely be stopping by every chance I get.

I’ve never been to an upscale Vegan restaurant before. This place blew me away with the interior décor and the amazing vegan food. The parking is easy to get to, it’s on the side of their building and it’s free parking from 1 – 53. It’s a two story building and the restroom is upstairs. Let me reiterate… not a fan of climbing stairs after a buffet… ya feeling me? However, they made the climbing not too shabby with crevices through the wall looking down at the main dining area. There’s also dining upstairs as well… beautiful place. Sunday brunch is $ 25 per person and a child is half price. I believe there are about 12+ different items to select from and dessert area nearby. I tried everything but there are a few items that stood out the most. The pancakes, peking duck rolls, mini pan seared buns, gobo(burdock root), and pom pom mushrooms are my favorite. A daikon and carrot soup accompanies the brunch but the server will come by to offer it. As for dessert, I really love the flan, it’s very light and not too sweet. The fresh blueberries offset the sweetness so it was perfect after a heavy brunch. The truffles are a tad too sweet for me. Service was great. Real talk here… if this is your first time eating vegan… do not be surprised by the air biscuits that will be coming out of your @ss. Seriously, you can start a fire!

I had no idea what to expect when I found this gem on Happy Cow. When I walked up on it, the façade set the tone for what was inside. It was an elegant and well appointed dining area. The wait staff was very polite and did a great job all around. The food had great presentation and was delicious! I had the Pom Pom Mushroom and was presently surprised! I like trying new things and this did not disappoint. It could have been mistaken for shredded pork! Almost too close for this vegan! I had the«Beetle Juice» which was earthy, just like beets are. You can tell it was freshly pressed. I also ordered a side of asparagus. I would have asked for it steamed had I known it would be swimming in vegetable oil. Still delicious though! I will definitely be back. I’m actually upset I didn’t get a chance to come back during this trip to the ATL. Please keep this place in business, Atlanta! I want to try more!

Vegan fine dining or almost in Atlanta. Service is top notch and the open air kitchen is refreshing. The menu is diverse and broad, and covers the Pan-Asian fusion spectrum. The food itself is tasty and artfully presented. The cooking style is a step up from the usual and one can think of this almost as a fine-dining version of the Loving Hut scarily enough. I found the pumpkin bean soup wonderfully tasteful and the pine nut garnishment was a step of class. Great. The glass tofu spring rolls in peanut dipping sauce was a more elegant version of the spring rolls you’d find at any Vietnamese restaurant. Good but not great. The warm exotic mushroom and quinoa salad was very good too, although not as artfully presented as I would’ve desired. One of the leaves of romaine on which it was served was slightly wilted. Very good overall nevertheless The real star of the show is the Pom Pom mushroom steak. This is served in a brown sauce and carries the heartiness you’d like from a steak and is somewhat crispy on the outside. It reminded me of a giant crab cake in terms of texture although the flavor profile was a mix between Salisbury steak and roasted mushrooms with a decidedly Asian bent. It is served over bok choy and the best brown rice I have ever had. This was perfectly cooked, textured, and flavorful. I did not have room for dessert but there is a cart which is classy too. The general manager deserves especial praise as he checked in on all the diners, even cleared a plate, and was resplendent in a crisp gray suit and welcoming smile. I highly recommend for vegans and omnivores of the world both.

I dined in at Herban Fix for dinner. It’s a vegan restaurant that serves different types of Asian food(Thai, Korean, Chinese, etc., not really classic dishes but more fusion/reinterpreted). First, how to get there? It’s at the northeast corner of Peachtree Street NE and Linden Ave. There is free parking in the Reynolds Garage which is, if you go east on Linden Ave, just past Peachtree Street on the left. The 1st50 or so numbered parking spots are reserved for retail guests. It’s not really in the best location TBH… but the restaurant itself is so nice and upscale! It’s quite spacious with modern decorations. There was even live music on Friday night. As far as food…(disclaimer: I’m neither a vegetarian nor a vegan, so have not tried a whole ton of vegan restaurants). I tried a couple dumplings my friends ordered as appetizers, one was a dumpling w/curry and the other one was fried, and I liked both. For my entrée, I ordered the pan-seared soy fish which was cooked with laksa curry and also kale. Served with a pretty small bowl of brown rice(wonder if that was on purpose to keep it healthy?). Everything on my plate was very good and had clean flavors, and I was decently full after eating it. I got a raspberry chocolate ganache cake for dessert and enjoyed it as well. Service was good. The one thing that was surprised me was when the check came. my entrée was actually $ 19 instead of the $ 14 that I saw on the menu. I looked up the dinner menu online using my phone, and it said $ 19 as well. I think what happened was that I was given the lunch menu in the restaurant. The slice of cake was $ 8. Overall, I was quite pleased with the food and it’s also a nice place to eat with free garage parking. I wouldn’t recommend hanging around outside for very long if going at night, but at least the garage is very close and located right behind the restaurant. Just wish I had been given the dinner menu, but it’s ok simple mistake! I’m now very curious about their Sunday brunch buffet for $ 25 per person, so I do think I will be back, this time with my husband so he can try it out.

Herban Fix serves tasty Asian vegan food in a relatively upscale setting. The restaurant opened in December 2015 in the old Dogwood space on the ground level of The Reynolds condominiums, across the street from Emory University Hospital Midtown. Plenty of easy-to-find free parking is available in The Reynolds parking deck, accessible behind the restaurant via Linden Ave. Parking spaces #1−53 are reserved for Herban Fix customers. I’m not vegetarian nor vegan. My experience with vegetarian and vegan restaurants is very limited, so I don’t have much to compare Herban Fix to. However, for dishes that didn’t contain any meat or animal products, I thought the food here was pretty good. It’s certainly healthy, which makes this place a great dining out option if you’re looking to eat smarter. The head chef, Wendy Chang, used to work at various Asian restaurants in metro Atlanta. She’s Taiwanese. The restaurant serves lunch, dinner, and a Sunday brunch buffet. The food spans all sorts of Asian cuisine including Chinese(e.g. ja jiang noodles, steamed buns, pan-seared dumplings), Japanese(sesame gobo root, seaweed salad), Korean(organic bibimbap), Malay(pan-seared soy fish with organic kale in curry laksa), Thai(coconut soup, pad Thai noodles), and Vietnamese(spring rolls, described as «crystal rolls» on menu). At lunch and dinner, appetizers, soups, salads, and sides are priced at $ 6 – 13 each. At lunch, entrees, rice, and noodle dishes are $ 12 – 15 each. At dinner, they’re $ 15 – 19 each. Sunday brunch is offered from 11am to 3pm and costs $ 25 per adult and $ 12.50 per child aged 12 and under. Juices cost roughly $ 7 each. We visited for Sunday brunch. I tried everything on the self-serve buffet. Here’s a list of what was available: Main buffet in front of the open kitchen: * Legumes & quinoa salad * Mini pom pom mushroom cakes * Asian pancakes * Grilled portobello mushrooms * Bamboo shoots salad * Japanese seaweed salad * Salt & pepper soy chicken * Tofu crystal rolls * Kale & quinoa sushi rolls * Sesame gobo * Potato salad balls with vegetables * Fried zucchini * Mini pan-seared buns * Taiwanese noodles Wok table(each of these was in a wok): * Sauteed chayote * Tofu scramble * Taiwanese spicy soy meat Dessert table: * Flan * Various truffles * Rice balls * Fresh fruit My favorite items were the grilled portobello mushrooms, Asian pancakes, Japanese seaweed salad, salt & pepper soy chicken, mini pan-seared buns, Taiwanese noodles, Taiwanese spicy soy meat, and flan. The portobellos were sliced into thin strips and were cooked with a savory sauce. The pancakes were flaky and appetizing. They came with a wonderful curry sauce. The seaweed salad wasn’t different than the seaweed salad you can get at most Japanese restaurants. Heck, it’s even comparable to the stuff you can buy, ready to eat, in the plastic containers at H Mart, but it was still good. I’m a sucker for seaweed salad. I tried a fresh batch of the salt & pepper soy chicken and enjoyed it. The outside of the morsels were crispy and nicely seasoned, reminiscent of the salty and spicy Taiwanese-style chicken nuggets you can get at boba tea places like Quickly and Sweet Hut. Admittedly, it’s not as good because it’s not real chicken, but it’s a worthy substitute. The mini pan-seared buns burst with flavor. I was surprised and impressed. Same goes for the Taiwanese noodles. Those were served in individual bowls. The noodles were delectable. They came with mushrooms, a bit of scallion, and an addictive, vinegary sauce. Yum. The Taiwanese spicy soy meat reminded me of a smoky beef stir-fry. I’m not sure what they make these various«meats» out of, but the consistency of this one reminded me of tofu skin. The flan was served in small cups. Each serving was topped with blueberries, chopped strawberry, and a blackberry. The flan was a little runny, but sweet and delicious. I slurped it all up. All of the fruits, including on the flan and the ones served separately(cantaloupe, kiwi, pineapple) were perfectly ripe. Of the fruits, I liked the kiwi the best. The mini pom pom mushroom cakes tasted funny to me, but not in a bad way. I’m just used to meatballs tasting like beef. These definitely did not taste like beef(or any meat for that matter). The sushi rolls were unexpectedly decent. In addition to kale and quinoa, they were made with brown rice, seaweed, and avocado. I liked the sesame gobo. It’s Japanese burdock root that’s sticky and sweet. I think the staff needs to find a better way to serve it though. There was one big mound of it on the buffet and I saw several customers struggle to break pieces off for their plates. Other notes: Chayote is kind of like squash. The tofu scramble is like a mild non-meat version of mapo tofu. The fried zucchini is prepared like tempura. Service was fine. At brunch, there were a bunch of old Asian ladies working in the kitchen. To me, it felt like a group of Asian grandmas getting together to make us brunch!

I am very pleased that I chose Herban Fix for my first 100% vegan restaurant experience! At first, I was unsure. Okay, this is the Sunday brunch but how much does it cost? I Googled it while I enjoyed my first plate from the breakfast buffet. $ 25/pp but the food is absolutely delicious and worth it. Every dish has FLAVOR(except the Taiwanese Noodles). My favorite dish was the Curry Potato with Veggies. Don’t forget to save room for dessert! Best flan I’ve every had and those chocolate truffles?! The only thing that I disliked was the temperature of all of the food on the buffet. The dishes are well-displayed but there’s nothing to heat or cool them. So everything was just north or south of room temperature. I still give them five stars, and I plan to return soon. Probably for my birthday!

There aren’t a whole lot of vegan options in ATL so I was excited to stumble across this place while Unilocaling. My gal pal and I met up here on a Wednesday evening to catch up over dinner. Another reason we chose Herban Fix was accessibility; it’s a couple blocks from the North Avenue MARTA stop and has free parking garage spaces. It wasn’t crowded when we went, but the service was excellent from start to finish. Our waiter was very friendly and made knowledgeable and detailed recommendations. They have a moderate selection of wine and beer, which was nice to unwind after a long day. For entrees, I chose the grilled eggplant. I’m a huge eggplant fan and this was prepared wonderfully in a unique way — very lightly battered with garlic, onions, and herbs in thick and savory slices. My friend got the rainbow rice entrée with pine nuts and walnuts and loved it. Our dishes came out quickly at perfect temperature. The prices here are more than I like to pay to go out for dinner($ 15 – 20 per entrée), but the food and service made up for that… something I almost never say because I’m pretty thrifty. Herban Fix has an elegant atmosphere that feels classy without being stuffy or over-the-top. I’d recommend this place to even non-vegans because the colorful and flavorful dishes here make you forget about meat entirely.
