The bagels here are simply outstanding! I’ve tried so many. All equally delicious. This place was my to go to spot for breakfast every morning while I was working on my degree. The customer service is awesome. Look for Anthony. He’s the best!

I have been going to this Goldberg’s for many years since I have a residence in the area but this last visit was disappointing. I ordered their nova bagel special and it came with a piece of salmon that was so tiny that it barely covered half of one side of my bagel. I asked the waitress if this is normal now and she said yes. In her defense, she went and got me a second piece but that was as favor. I also told a manager because I really enjoyed Goldberg’s for many years but it seems like they are cutting back and cutting corners and that is never a good sign for quality. If they are cutting back there where we can see, never mind what cuts they are making where we cannot see and that could effect food quality and food safety. I don’t appreciate food prices increasing and then receiving less. You lost my business Goldberg’s…

I love this deli and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. I have been a regular here and brought many people with me over the years. Always love to go back when I am in Atlanta.

O.M.G!!! I work on Howell Mill and we ordered lunch for the office here(takeout). This was my first time eating here as I am not a «fru-fru«bagel eater. Lol. Had no idea just how good their lunch is! Their freakin’ chilli was the BEST I’ve ever had!(No beans, but I don’t like a lot of beans). It had a brunswick stew flavor to me. They even took extra precautions to wrap my chili bowl in case it spilled. :) I also ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad. They didn’t skimp on the chicken to say the least. The cilantro lime dressing was really good too. I want to try the reuben egg roll appetizers, but am waiting to dine in for those!

I love this place! The atmosphere feels like a local hangout, everyone seemed to know each other. It’s the real deal when it comes to authentic Jewish food. The fried chicken, egg and gravy biscuit is really good. Challah French toast was fantastic. Would highly recommend!

I try to hit up one of the Goldberg locations at least once a week when I am in town so have been a longtime regular, so much that I even put up with the Airport location! This is the perfect place to go when I want to go over heavy paperwork, legal briefs, filing paperwork, etc I can do it better/faster here while drinking a Dr Brown Black Cherry Soda and Poppy Seed bagel than I can in the $ 900 comfy ergonomic chair. The bagels here are incredible and this coming from a Katz Deli fan, the only place that comes close to me is in Germany and BB Bagels in Alpharetta. Personal favorites are the Honey Wheat and Poppy Seed bagels that are always fresh, chewy in the middle and never without regret at the last bite. I know there is a recipe for some form of gooey addiction that I do submit to. The home fries here are another favorite that are always perfect and far better than anyone other than the Lyoneese Potatoes at Hal’s or Capital Grille. I get the double scramble eggs with crème freische in them with chives and order the bacon extra crispy and I am in a private nirvana for at least 45 minutes and not even the bad checkout line drone of CNN can phase me. If you have never been, go — this place is always worth it and save some room for a bite of the desert(you can always doggy bag the rest). Other favs are the Challah French Toast, the salmon, the Chicken Noodle Soup that I used to use on a picky ex-girlfriend to stop complaining. Another standout when they have them are the potato pancakes(they sell out fast and often by 11 am due to the rush), try them with sour cream and chives and a pat of butter — would even overwhelm the pickiest Jewish Grandmother from guilting you about your cholesterol later!

Oh my lord!!! I thought I had had a New York bagel. I was so very very wrong. One of the partners brought Goldberg’s in this morning. Everything about this bagel was different. It was so thick and the bread was dense and springy. I had the jalapeño-cheddar. It was awesome. The jalapeño was very very spicy not like the ones I get from Publix. The cream cheese is homemade and it shows. It’s very thick and rich. I might have to make a lunch trip here. They have Reuben egg rolls! I love this place. However, I am sad ass all bagels will now be judged against these and come up short.

Neither my girlfriend or I were impressed with the food or service — ordered the bagel and lox and a pastrami sandwich and both were meh. After waiting in line for about 20 mins on a Sunday morning(no big deal), we received THAT table. You know, the one that’s either squished in the corner, next to a restroom or beside the service area — and in this case, it was a combo of all there. Yes, it was a bit cramped and busy, but the restaurant was busy, so I get it … But then both orders came out wrong with cream cheese on the bagel(asked for none) and the pastrami on a bagel instead of rye. I kept my sandwich and the GF asked for a new lox plate, as she doesn’t eat dairy. Welp, I basically finished my sandwich, which was average at best, prior to the replacement lox plate arriving. And when it did, the lox was also average at best — way too salty and chewy, but a good portion on a solid bagel. On the upside, the bagels are good. The negative, the service and food are average. After eating here a few times, it just seems a bit overhyped.

They seriously need 2 registers I waited for 15 minutes to pay for a toasted bagel and then 5 more while it sat there getting stone cold. The guy at the register couldn’t keep up. Long line to pay is the weekend norm. Im only going here during off hours from now on. I should got to BB bagels in Alpharetta and freeze a dozen. Tgey are TONS better.

If you want your Jewish deli fixings in Atlanta, you should have Goldberg’s on speed-dial. The food here is really good, and I highly recommend it for breakfast or lunch. Here’s the run down: Pros: Amazing chewy and dense bagels, chicken noodle soup, bagel chips, lox and free pickles! Employees are always super friendly. Cons: The last time I checked, their Health Inspection score was in the 80’s so that might be an issue for some. Also, their ordering system is a bit strange and confusing. Basically, if you’re dining in, you’ll have to seat yourself. If you’re ordering take-out, you’ll have to order from the back and then pickup and pay at the front. Tip: During busy hours, I highly recommend calling in your orders ahead of time.

Amazing! This is our new breakfast spot. I had challah french toast with latkes and it tasted like home. We had a great time. A long wait on a Saturday morning, but well worth it. My boyfriend also enjoyed his bagel and potatoes. Order: Challah French Toast and Latkes

I come here just about every morning I’m in Buckhead. Their bagels are fresh, they have so many to pick from, and are overly generous with the cream cheese. If you plan on getting more than one bagel, get one cream cheese on the side. It will be enough to serve 2 – 3 bagels and will be cheaper!

I would say you can’t go wrong with any menu item at Goldberg’s. The servings are more than generous and made with fresh ingredients. I had their seasonal special — southwest grilled chicken salad — fresh romaine, grilled corn, black beans, tomato and wonderfully seasoned grilled chicken with a very tasty cilantro lime dressing. It gets very busy at lunch but seems to turnover fairly quick. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the prices are reasonable for the quality of food served.

I got the 2 eggs breakfast deal which included 2 eggs, bagel, nova lox, 2 potato pancakes for $ 11.99. Great price for a lot of food. The service was really good. Attentive and friendly.

Brooklyn Reuben. Best Reuben ever. BROOKLYNREUBEN — $ 10.95 Corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and homemade Russian dressing on Rye bread. Mmmmm it’s so good. The regular(vs. NY) stack is more than enough for me. Comes w/a side and dill pickle. Cole slaw(fresh, not too mayonaise-y, not too sweet) and fruit salad are good; potato salad is just ok. ½ SANDWICHANDSOUP — $ 9.99 Tried two different combos. Brooklyn Reuben and Chicken Noodle Soup — soup was very good and tasty, and also comes w/bagel chips. Another time, I tried the California Reuben(good but messy) and Mushroom Barley Soup(lots of button mushrooms but just ok). HOTPASTRAMISANDWICH — $ 9.99 Great pastrami. But there was nothing else. Just meat and bread. Get the Brooklyn Reuben. SWEETPICKLES! Take notice of the jar of sweet bread-n-butter pickles on your table. They are super good — I can’t stop eating them. Which means the dill pickle gets no love. Parking can be tight during peak lunch hour. Brooklyn Reuben.

I am trying not to let nostalgia color my review. I used to eat at the original Goldberg’s on the corner of Roswell and Wieuca Road in 1972. Back then bagel shops closed for Passover since only Jews knew what a bagel was. Now bagels are as American as tacos or pizza, and Goldberg’s has locations all over the city. They hit the jackpot with this store at W. Paces Ferry. It’s jammed. The service is great, the food is very good And they have real, honest-to-god bagels. First boiled, then baked. While Goldberg’s has gone with the flow and has a number of varieties of sweet bagels — the very thought is too strange to consider — they also still bake the more traditional savory varieties. If you’ve never tried it, order a toasted garlic bagel. Or the salt bagel. They’re great.(Kids, don’t try a salt bagel w/o a note from your doctor.) I had smoked turkey on a toasted garlic bagel. Cole slaw instead of fries. It comes with one of those crunchy garlic pickles that for some reason are only available at Jewish delis. The cole slaw was among the best. Seriously. And I’m not a huge fan of cole slaw. And the waitress didn’t hesitate when I asked for horseradish on the sandwich. «White or purple?», she asked. Take a lesson, Einstein’s.

Wow! This felt like HOME. First thing first, get there early on Sundays. Super packed for breakfast/brunch and is a right squeeze. But let’s start! NY feel as soon as you walk in. The hustle and bustle of the wait staff was a delight to me. Fast paced, talking loud and dropping silverware. I loved it. There’s plenty of tables; very little counter soave; either way, any seat is a good seat. NY deli fresh food, bagels and lox. I couldn’t ask for more! I had the eggs Benedict with potato lockes; amazing! Co wished had the pastrami tall stack sandwich; I tried it, so good! Coffee overflowing if you ask. Fast service. Friendly staff. Accurate taste. Oh and they have Dr Browns sodas. TODIEFOR! I’m a JERSEYGIRL all day and this deli felt like home! 3 years in Atlanta, my first time here, so sad it took me this long to find this gem. 42nd street would be proud!!! I’ll be here every Sunday! Stewart, waiter… he’s so sweet! Thanks Stewart!!!
