They have a great extensive menu. From southern to italien, greek, and breakfest too!!! I had the spaghetti with marinara. Really great and flavor. The staff were very great and attentitive. Defiantantly will be back!!!

I wanted to like this place, but I felt the prices were a little high for just average food and«meh» ambiance. I’ve eaten here twice with my family. Both times we had good service and the food tasty, but my husband and I both felt it wasn’t «out of this world».

I enjoyed eating here. We’ve been here twice and both times I was pleased. The staff is friendly and servers are attentitive. We had the gyro sandwich which was excellent since it was my first time trying it. We were greeted by the owner each time to assure everything went well which is a plus. Good food, affordable, will go again.

Even though I had a bad experience on my first go round, I decided to try them out again when a friend suggested that we go here since it was near his home. This time I got my pancakes! I also got grits, bacon, and eggs. The food was cooked properly — thanks for the crispy bacon! Overall, Galaxy Diner offers up decent diner food for an affordable price. You can dine-in, stop by or call-in a pickup for take-out. For breakfast, you can get omelets, specialty egg dishes, biscuit sandwiches, country breakfasts(served w/home fries or grits, toast or biscuit), breakfast sandwiches, waffles & pancakes, and cereal. There is a kid’s menu.

Awesome Greek Moussaka — best in Atlanta. I lived in Detroit and the GreekTown restaurants were the only thing I missed. Not anymore.

The sausage omelets are especially good since they use links. I was somewhat underwhelmed by the home fries, but the experience overall was good and I will be going back.

It is a nice little restaurant with a simple but comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast served all day. Good portion sizes in the $ 10 range. Food is good if you know what a «diner» is. No culinary delights, just straight forward food. Not sure what some folks expect!

You can find the Galaxy Diner at 3320 Henderson Mill Rd, Atlanta, GA30341 — the is the back side of the Embry Hills Shopping center anchored by Kroger so Galaxy faces Henderson Mill Rd. I’ve been coming to the Galaxy Diner for many, many years — it’s close to where I live and it seems to be a favorite spot on weekends from my Northcrest neighbors. The restaurant is clean and the service is very good, with a really knowledgeable and accommodating staff. The menu is fairly extensive, with selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner with some specials. Although I’ve had better diner food, the Galaxy Diner more than makes up for any lack of quality through great, friendly service. I enjoy the combination breakfast meals with bacon, sausage, eggs and pancakes. To add to this, I enjoy their combination«Super 8» which has most of what you’d want in a breakfast. I think that if you’re looking for something for breakfast or brunch and you’re in the area, the Galaxy Diner is a good spot. It’s also a favorite for several local car clubs. The lot does get a bit full but there’s extra parking in the lots behind and to the right of the building.

This is our neighborhood diner, and we have been enjoying eating here since it was first converted from the old Hardee’s. When Roy purchased the diner he made some nice changes, reflecting the tastes and requests of his clientele. His leadership increased participation of local churches, business groups and car clubs as well as welcoming our local policeman. After his recent untimely death, his family is maintaining the tradition of keeping old favorites and trying new dishes and appetizers. They have daily specials, and as expected you can get breakfast all day. The food is good, some unexpectedly special, and the service is usually outstanding. As a «regular» I can rely on my «favorites» on the menu and I can forgive a new server for making a small misstep. They correct any mistakes. Don’t worry about a full parking lot. You can park nearby and they seat and serve you quickly. There is a patio if you prefer your breakfast al fresco. They serve beer and house wine. They care for the gamut: from young families through old fogies and their menu is priced for frequent returns. They always tell me to save room for desert — and I can’t usually manage. But on the day they make make our favorites, we are not above getting them«to go.»

It is a diner. That being said, it is as good a diner as you can eat at. The service station I use for car repairs is nearby and they recommended it several years ago. I have not had a bad experience there. There was one thing I did not like, the onion rings. They let me try a sample of their onion straws as a substitute and they are great! I will definitely eat there again, sooner than later.

Food is great. Needs some classic melodies to go with the diner/car show theme and cheer everyone up. :) I recommend the salad plate, tomato basil soup, and the catfish. Ask for: Lisa, Sarah or Tiffany. Tell Maria and Christina David sent you!

It’s not fancy and it’s not gourmet, but it’s good! My husband and I met a group of friends for breakfast here — as it was a convenient spot for everyone. We were seated at a long table(of tables) and had a patient, attentive waitress. Service was great, food was good, but we didn’t like their biscuits. They’re just not southern biscuits. Last week I was out with a client and we stopped in here for lunch. We didn’t want fast food and needed a place where we could chat. I had the open faced turkey&gravy sandwich with sweet potato fries… Mounds of turkey on that sandwich, but just average gravy. As always, the service was fast and friendly. If you’re looking for a quick bite near Embry Hills or taking your mom/grandma out for breakfast, the Galaxy Diner is a good option.

Its been eons since I last stepped into Galaxy Diner and yet, I left feeling the exact same way which is eh. I ordered the western omelette, a side of grits, toast and coffee. The service was not necessarily prompt, but our server did acknowledge us on her way to other tables. Once she did make her way back around, the ordering process and the food were done very quickly and efficiently. The coffee was pretty much dark liquid in a cup in that it didn’t have any depth or any real flavor. The grits were also pretty bland. The omelette had peppers, ham and cheese. It wasn’t shredded cheese, just kinda melted velveeta type cheese which was hardening as I was cutting into the omelette. It was pretty unappetizing and I ended up only eating 1⁄3 of my meal. If you take a look around, you will notice that 99.9% of their clientele is pretty much over the 65+ age range, and their food definitely caters to them. There were lots of groups brunching during my visit as well.

Nasty. Friendly wait staff but the place is so nasty, I felt like heaving after I left. the booths are filthy so I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like. No way in hell i would ever go back, nothing good about it. i ordered a tuna melt with the fries. Greasy is an understatement. I just couldn’t get over how run down and dirty the place was, really?! if the owner would just take on the perspective of a new customer and sit at one of the booths and look around and think to themselves, «Is this putting on a good first impression?» I really wanted to like it. But, like I said before the wait staff are really sweet, just feel so sorry for them

I have a couple of friends(in their 70’s) who love this place. If it wasn’t for that demographic(people over 65 years of age), i don’t think this place would be in business.(also the car show crowd) There is one big prerequisite for a diner: the coffee must be good. Galaxy, like other diners that cater to the older crowd seem to make really poor tasting coffee. I’ve had coffee at a few managed care facilities while on visit, and the coffee at galaxy reminds me of that. It is flavorless, watery, smells of warming plate burns as well. Very very poor coffee QT coffee tastes like gourmet in comparison… That said, the place is clean,(korean owned?, not sure), the breakfast specials are priced really low which is a plus if you’re on social security. I honestly wouldn’t eat at galaxy unelss i was super hungry, or over 65. One other thing: Country crock — NO butter, big downer. I haven’t tried their dinner menu, basically have only had breakfast there, so cannot comment on their sandwiches, or supper food.

Don’t. Go. There. I ordered French Toast, two scrambled eggs, sausage links and grits. French Toast: Brough three massive slices of challah bread, but they are not even ‘dipped’ into egg mixture, and no ‘powered sugar’ over it. It is like greasy toasted bread on the plate. Very unappetizing. I asked for two pancakes instead. Eggs: small serving — and on the menu, it says two jumbo eggs. Nah. It looked like 1 and ½ regular sized eggs. Sausage Links: One thing that is very tasty. Coffee: Good one, but unfortunately, they refilled only ONCE, and then they grabbed the cup away from me when they brought pancakes over! How dare they think I can eat pancakes with a glass of water? This place is very understaffed, and my waiter was practically running around trying to serve everyone. It is FATHER’S DAY for god’s sake and they don’t have enough wait staff! This meal costs me almost 9 dollars and I cursed at myself for being a fool to come to this place where I could have stayed home and made myself a very hearty breakfast. Don’t. Go. There. It ain’t worth it at all. I am extremely disappointed Don’t go there. Period.

Wanted breakfast but didn’t want ihop, so I Unilocaled this place. Very country inside and out. But this place has EVERYTHING. there are daily specials like all you can eat catfish. They have super 8 and super 7 breakfast options that are less than $ 7. The waitresses were friendly. It wasn’t busy in there at all. The food came out fairly quickly too. I ordered the super 8 and am pleased with my order. I’ll definitely be back. You can’t beat good, cheap food.

This restaurant has always had so much potential, but they don’t put enough love into the food. The food can’t be fresh when there are more than two pages of menu options. Over the years, I have noticed a huge turnover in staff. There are only a few long time employees. Despite my negative comments, this restaurant has found a formula that works for them. You get a lot of food for a fair price. The food is okay, but very generic. Almost everything tastes pre-made and flash cooked, but it is edible. The regular visitors are very friendly and it is a great place to meet people in the neighborhood. My 78 year old mom loves Galaxy, so I will continue to patronize the restaurant. I would give this restaurant 3 stars at the most for the food, but I add an extra star for the local hot rod flavor.
