Our new favorite breakfast spot! GREATCOFFEE! Our waitress, Dolapo, was fantastic! What a great smile, laugh and attitude! Take her suggestions! She convinced me to try their«creamy, dreamy grits» and now I know how good grits can be! The French toast is AmAziNg! Everything was delicious. Shut up and take my money!

Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Visited this location on a Saturday morning with a friend of mine and we both ordered the egg-stravaganza. Everything was good, nothing to complain about… I asked for shell eggs and I got shell eggs. Some restaurants try to pull the wool over your eyes with the ‘fake’ eggs even after you ask for the shelled. It’s always nice to come to a restaurant where pork isn’t the morning breakfast star meat. Thanks Flying Biscuit!!!

Loved everything that hit the table. 10⁄10 recommend: Biscuit pot pie, «moon dusted» roasted potatoes, and cranberry apple butter. The pleasant grandma’s sunroom atmosphere is a plus in my books too.

Always delicious if you have not been here can’t find a bad thing on the menu. We have been here on just about a once a month basis why get breakfast elsewhere?

I would drive 30 minute cross town to the original one. After breakfast this morning I wouldn’t walk across the street to eat there. Franchised bean counter mediocre food. Very disappointed

Heard great things so we went over on Sunday March 20th. Service was great. The food was not. I got the half order French toast and it was just toast. I could not tell if there was egg on it. 5.00 for one piece of toast is crazy. I also got meggxican wrap, not impressed at all. I got a biscuit and fruit with the wrap. Biscuit OK and the fruit was by far the best thing I ate. I won’t be going back.

This location is only getting three stars because I like the grits at Flying Biscuit in general. The service was sub-par. We were met with a stale greeting and had an inattentive waitress. Customer service is key at any place of business. Please make your servers aware of this. Also, when we asked for change to leave a tip, the waitress neglected to bring any singles as if she was telling us to leave her a five or better. We’re good tippers, but we also tip based on service. Because of this, she got the minimum, 15%, plus a nice note. :-)

I found this to be a fairly typical Flying Biscuit. Not as busy as they often are, though it was 1pm on a Friday. I had their version French toast for the first time. It was pretty tasty! I loved the raspberry jam and honey crème anglaise. And, you can never go wrong with their grits and biscuit with cranberry apple butter. The only issue I had was that the parking lot was very full, but since it’s in a shared lot with many other business’s, you can’t really blame them for that.

I’ve only ever been to this Flying Biscuit location, so it’s a mystery to me why this one has such a lower rating than the other branches. Regardless, it’s always a pleasure to tuck into the Southern goodness of the Flying Biscuit Café. I generally go for the Famous Flying Biscuit Breakfast, which comes with two eggs, grits, and a biscuit. Eggs are standard, but the grits and biscuit make me seriously consider moving to Atlanta forever. Came here most recently on New Years Day around 12pm where we had a 45 minute wait. There isn’t much room to wait, especially on a cold winter day where the door opening and closing projects cold air into the waiting customers’ faces. They have a wait electronic square if you want to peruse nearby shops(running store, toy store, etc). When we finally sat down, we noticed that many 2-person parties are seated at 4-person tables because of the lack of flexibility in table sizes and the unwillingness to simply separate the 4-person tables into two 2-person tables. That’s Southern hospitality for you. Service was quick, efficient, and accurate. I shall be back!

Decided to visit this place on a Sunday at their midtown location. The wait was very long but the food was definitely worth it! I’m only disappointed I didn’t have the appetite to try every dish on the menu. I plan to frequent this place a lot in the near future. I understand why the flying biscuit is an Atlanta favorite and keeps its customers waiting in line for its syrupy goodness! The flying biscuit gets four stars only because of its wait time and small facility.

Biscuits are great… it would be concerning if they weren’t. Haha I got the Pimento Cheese Egg Benedict. It was good minus the fact the overload of Pimento Cheese that covered my plated. It wasn’t the best pimento cheese I have ever had. Would need to try something else if I visit again

I’ve eaten here 3 times and the food is just wonderful! The pumpkin pecan pancakes are heavenly! It sucks hem they are only seasonal. The Mexican wrap is so good. Their green beans are seasoned perfectly! I would definitely recommend this place to people!

I drove past this plaza so many times… didn’t realize I was passing up deliciousness! The wait was 20 – 25 minutes.. customers ate and left… great! I would say The Flying Biscuit Café caters to the health conscious as well as the good food lovers. I had the flat iron steak(medium) with scrambled eggs and dreamy grits… J had biscuit egg and gravy… the gravy was different. I think it’s their signature gravy(with chicken sausage). I thought it was different from the norm, an acquired taste, and actually kinda good. Got a couple pics. but the weather was chilly… they have the heat lamps outside, but they weren’t on… smh… this place was super busy and guess where I waited for my 20mins to be up… smh… inside. Yep, there’s a small wait area inside, 3 chairs, right in front of the hostess stand… at the door. Please believe I thought about going back outside, because every time that door opened up. that wind was cutting. Other that that… 2thumbsup!

The chicken gravy is the star of the menu! I’m not a big fan of grits, but I can tell you they are still some of the best I’ve ever had. Now, the service on the other hand… I get the impression that it is collaborative and no-one really knows who’s done what and in what order. We’ve had drinks never show up, show up twice, and sometimes never refilled. Not quite as bad with food. If you need a condiment after the food is delivered, you may need to flag another server because yours is likely to disappear from the floor the next ten minutes. Food: 10 Service: 5

This was my second time going to Flying Biscuit but my first time going to this location. I had no idea it was here! Anyways, I’m glad I found it. It’s in a small shopping center off of Northside Parkway. I found parking so that was no issue at all. It was not crowded or packed like I thought it would be. I went on a Sunday and it was around 2pm. I walked in and it was the same décor as the other locations but it seemed a little cozier and clean. The server was really nice and made some great suggestions. I was able to get grits AND the potatoes with my meal(I had the Famous Flying Biscuit Breakfast). She strongly suggested the grits and told me they were famous for them. I had no idea, I just thought they were famous for the biscuits. The eggs were good, your standard scrambled eggs. I love the chicken sausage, it was super moist and fresh. The biscuit was OK, it was a biscuit but it wasn’t particularly soft or fluffy. The potatoes were a little dry. If they had been cooked with onions and peppers they would have been great! My server recommended aioli sauce with the potatoes and that added a cool and tangy taste to the potatoes. I liked it. I’m a fan of tangy sauces. The star performer here was the grits. The creamy dreamy grits. My God. I have never had grits this way. They were so creamy and just the right amount of thickness. They also had a smooth buttery taste. I’d definitely get those again. Also, the coffee was pretty good as well. She even gave me a cup to go! Awesome service, pretty good food. Plus it’s on my side of town. I’ll be back

This was my first visit to a Flying Biscuit, I see them all over town, and since our 1st choice brunch spot had way too long of a wait, I decided to give this place a try. My BF and I came on a Sunday during brunch rush, there was about a 20 – 30 minute wait. No alcohol is served, just juice and coffee. I ordered the Hollywood omelet, it was really nice, egg whites, spinach, mushrooms, and tomato coulis, which was more of a purée, but no big deal. The flavors were great and it came with a side of fruit and biscuit. The biscuit was wonderful! So fluffy and huge, I didn’t love the cinnamon strawberry jam it came with, but it didn’t ruin the meal. My BF ordered the piedmont omelet, it was way too much going on. It was so rich for a breakfast dish, so much meat, cheese, and onions, he couldn’t finish it, I took one bite and it was just too heavy. The creamy dreamy grits were delicious and we also shared a short stack of buttermilk pancakes. They were good, nothing spectacular. Overall the food was good, and the service was nice as well. Give it a try if you’re in the area.

This is where I eat brunch as a local and is one of my top local brunch places to take out of town guests. Biscuits and their apple jam combo is amazing!

Got there around 10am on a Sunday morning and it was starting to get busy. I got the Hollywood omelet. Pretty standard and it wasn’t swimming in grease, but I thought the biscuit was pretty dry though. The fried green tomatoes were not good. They did not seem fresh. It tasted like they were made the day before and microwaved this morning. Good thing they were free with Unilocal check in. Not a bad place for brunch but this probably won’t be my go-to breakfast spot in Atlanta.

Flying Biscuit is an Atlanta staple when it comes to breakfast and brunch. Although their food is solid, nothing blew my socks off except for one item on their menu. Food: A great selection of traditional American staples along with lunch items such as sandwiches and salads. They even have soyage for vegetarians. Although they are known for their biscuits, I LOVELOVELOVE their grits. It’s a must try. Service: Service has always been great every time. Although they don’t take reservations they will take call ahead. Parking: This location is located in a shopping center so plenty of parking. Tip: Don’t forget to use your Unilocal App for a free order of fried Green Tomato.

What a pleasant surprise to check in on Unilocal and be offered a free Fried green tomato appetizer. Yummy. Smoked salmon scramble is always good. As is the biscuit with cranberry apple butter. Coffee is a bit too strong for me but that is ok. Atmosphere is busy. Service was a little slow. Still one of my fav places.

Another soaring success by The Flying Biscuit. Very Berry Chicken Salad was just the thing to brighten up a rainy day! Wonderfully fresh, healthy summer flavors and a raspberry vinaigrette that was actually made from raspberries(vs the cloyingly sweet syrup you often find at other restaurants). I’ll be back for this salad!

Disappointed with this place! Our server was very nice but that’s about it. The food was lackluster at best. My omelette was over cooked and lacked flavor. Their«signature biscuits» were luke-warm and hard as a rock; they were more like European scones. There were two«bus-boy» employees that were bickering openly with each other; that wasn’t professional. Those two dudes should take a break and handle it out back. Lastly, I went to wash my hands and walked to the back of the restaurant, whereby an employee was spraying the mats with some sort of deodorizer. Those mats stunk up the whole place. Their management should pay for a service to replace their mats frequently with fresh ones. Although they had a good health rating score, I won’t be back. Sorry Flying Biscuit, you blew it! Too many good options available for breakfast in town.

Sooo good! I’ve been to other Flying Biscuit restaurants in Atlanta before but I was really impressed with this location. Great service and fun atmosphere. I had the Southern Biscuit Benedict. It’s their play on Eggs Benedict but with pimento cheese and biscuits instead. It came with a side of their creamy dreamy grits. Heavenly. Others in my party had the biscuits and gravy and eggs and turkey bacon. Everything is reasonably priced and has a homemade feel. It’s great!
