Oh. Oh my. This gas station is… one that you shouldn’t go to. Things to know: –It’s not the cleanest aka trash usually flows out of the cans. –Homeless folks often pander for money. You know, I feel really bad, and give when I can, but they make me feel uncomfortable when my wallet is out and car with valuables right there. –About the gas, it’s usually pricier when compared to other parts of the city(for obvious reasons). So only go there if it’s convenient. –They have a car wash.(I think $ 8 is for the Deluxe.) It’s, err, A-OK and around the right side of the building. –The store is sort of stocked. So not very dependable for items, except for drinks. –For the love of God, don’t use the bathroom. –I’d rather hit up the BP across the street or the Shell down on Ponce.

If you wanted to be treated like absolute garbage spending money this is the place to go. If you especially like being an inconvenience please see the ugly(personality) middle eastern woman who is regularly there. Her personality and friendliness is beyond her cheerios being peed in, someone clearly takes a dump in her cereal every day and she takes it out on paying customers. Don’t even bother with this Chevron, you will actually get a smile and friendly service at the BP across the street.

Screw this place. Can’t go here without being harassed by a panhandler. I would rather push my car a thousand miles and fill up in Canada than come here again. Same story every time… 1) Panhandler out of nowhere while you’re filling gas 2) He points to random car and tells you its his 3) He needs gas money to get to Emory 4) Give him money, and he just walks off So you’ve been warned. If you see him, tell him to shove it and that he’s been exploited on Unilocal. YEAH. THATSWASSUP

This gas station is the worst. The pump I used has a hole in the hose and sprayed over me and my car. There’s no emergency pump shut off on the pumps so gas poured out while I had to cancel the transaction, of which it still charged my card. When I alerted the attendants, they rudely told me there’s nothing they could do… I would have to go to another pump and buy more gas. When I asked about the charge, they told me I would have to come back and talk to the manager in the morning. I will never go back to this gas station. I will go across the street to the BP or push my car.

a) Has a drive-thru car wash. All of the other drive-thru car washes in the city seem to have disappeared. If you don’t want/need a hand wash, this is your place. You get a discount on the car wash if you fill up. b) Sells wine and beer with a half-decent selection for a tiny convenience store. c) Customer service does not match QuikTrip-levels of awesome, but it is superior to most other convenience stores in the area. d) I have been a regular customer for 8 months now and have never been approached here by a panhandler, so I think that has cleared up.

This place is conveniently located for anyone in the Piedmont Fox Theater zone. It’s situated on a very busy intersection and a little rough around the edges. Sketchy people always hanging inside and outside.

Whoa. Today this gas station, which I’ve been to like a million times, looked like something in a Thriller video. Lots and lots of pan handlers. I would only recommend going in the day time. I realize that it’s on Ponce and up the street from Peachtree and Pine, but this was a lot to see today. It still is one of the cleaner options in the area, but be alert if you go here and don’t be afraid to just say no.

This one is a 24HR Chevron in the heart of Midtown. Look out for drunks and hookers, as they are easy to hit late night. Be careful how and where you leave the parking lot– as Piedmont is one way north. The car wash is decent, but pricey. There are cheaper gas stations in town, but this is Chevron… At least they were open when others weren’t…

It’s on Ponce so you know from the start that it’s going to be a scary experience. This place though is especially atrocious. I live in the Midtown neighborhood that backs up to Ponce so this is a really convenient place to stop by. Most of the time when I go here I have to fight off the aggressive panhandlers. There is usually someone begging for money in this parking lot. If there isn’t someone begging, then there is someone who washes your windshield when you go in to pay. Then when you come out they act like you asked them to wash it and demand a tip. Sometimes there are some really fun sights at this Chevron. I once saw a man wrapped up in a king size comforter. He was wearing it like a robe and looked like the cowardly lion from The Wizard of Oz. For some reason, the gas pumps are really slow so you end up spending an absurd amount of time trying to get a few gallons. The provisions in the store are overpriced but the staff has always been pretty nice. I would like to say I would never go here again but I know I will because it’s so convenient.

As a rule, I normally don’t hold places like this to high standards because that almost always guarantees that you will be disappointed. Imagine the shock when you patronize a business and have no expectations other than basic/common things(i.e. at a gas station I expect to be able to fill up my tank, use a credit card, and shop for a drink at the convenience store — maybe even a little lottery action). This store is located at the intersection of Piedmont & Ponce, making it convenient for a quick stop. Since it’s a little further up on Ponce, it’s one of the nicer gas stations found on «the strip,» but they still treat their customers like they’re low class. The pumps don’t always work, the trash cans are usually overflowing, and they are selective as to when you can use a credit card. Once I was there and it was a $ 4 minimum(even for debit cards which, unlike credit cards, do not charge merchants a POS fee if used with a PIN)… another time you had to buy gas to use plastic. I never understand it when businesses make it harder for customers to give them money, but I digress. There used to be a BP across the street from this station and I used to prefer it because I didn’t have to deal with this craziness. It also used to help keep the prices at this place in check because they would compete against each other. Not anymore, but is it really possible to «shop» gas prices when they’re $ 4+ gallon? I don’t, so this might be a moot point. In a pinch it’s convenient and easy to get into, but if you time drive a little further until you find a larger facility without as much bullet proof glass.
