Awww… beep beep! I love this precious lil gallery! I went for the first time during the opening of a show where my buddy’s art was being displayed. It’s such a cute hidden gem in midtown. Definitely stop by to see some amazing work by local artists.

I wandered in here on a hot Saturday afternoon back in August, and a few days later, I’d bought my first piece of gallery art ever. The artist whose work I bought is terrific, but also, the show was terrific, and the gallery is terrific. Mark also happens to be terrific, and made the process as easy as buying art can be. I’ve only seen two collections here, one of drawing and one of photography. Both demonstrated strong and consistent points of view in thought-provoking, visually arresting contexts. Best of all, as others have also noted, the pricing of the work here makes it entirely possible to own great art without being super-rich – in this regard, I think this gallery is doing something really important for the local art scene. Big up, Beep Beep!

If you attend an art opening at the Beep Beep Gallery, it is highly possible that you will accidentally back into someone and knock the striped Keebler cookie from her hand. While spiraling around to say you’re sorry, you just might hit someone else in the shoulder and send his Two Buck Chuck sloshing to the floor. All to the beat of loud music spun by a guy in a local band. Needless to say, the gallery is intimate, cramped and small — but packed with work by promising local artists.

Once I get rolling on an evening, I like to go from one thing to another to another — well, you get my drift. Add booze and now we’re talking. Beep beep happened to be place #2 or 3 one evening. I had Wife and Kid #2(versus Kid and Wife #2…) with me in the car and I happened to check out what was what on Unilocal after leaving a place. A free art exhibit in a place I didn’t even know existed? Sign me up! It is tiny. It was a little edgy. We definitely will be back!

Pretty cool. Beep Beep is quite alright. They seem to keep it local and great. Beep Beep has some bitchin’ art on their walls. Live bands play the space and it sounds amazing and intimate.

Perhaps naïve, but I love the giddy sense that I’m witnessing fresh and creative things start from the ground up. Beep Beep has obviously been around for awhile, but the artists and musicians I’ve seen here are frequently just starting out. I love that they have a place to be seen and we have a place to see them. There are, in fact, no seats. I don’t believe they have air conditioning and the room gets profoundly hot and sweaty during shows and exhibits. What drink options exist are sold out of a closet adjacent to the bathroom. Somehow this doesn’t trouble me.

I like to say«beep beep» like the Roadrunner. I like to buy art with the last, few bills lurking in my back pocket. I like to watch vinyl records spin while people in high top sneakers and dirty coats mingle. I like to squeeze into small spaces and test the capacity limits. I like to support local artists, their projects, and endeavors. I like having the Beep Beep Gallery satisfy all these urges.

Sometimes when I walk into a gallery I feel instantly out of place and it’s like the gallery employees have already sized me up and decided that I’m neither a wealthy collector nor a fine art connoisseur. And I look around and feel like I need a black beret and a faux French accent to fit in. Well when I walked into Beep Beep, it was such a great vibe. The attendant gave me a «what’s up nod» and after I walked around for a while, he came over and told me a little about the gallery and about the upcoming events, and encouraged me to sign up on the guest list for more information. Ah, like a breath of fresh air, I felt comfortable and relaxed and ready to support the neighborhood art scene.

I made my very first«gallery» purchase at Beep Beep when they featured the solo exhibition of John Tindel – half of the well known Atlanta duo TindelMichi. They display a great mix of trendy, thought provoking works from up & comers. My only concern about the space – as a former museum employee – is the lack of environmental controls in the gallery space. In the summer time they typically leave the front door open and we all know about Atlanta’s humidity. It can’t be good for works on paper in particular. Hopefully as sales & popularity grow, they’ll be able to invest some capital into the space.

Great place to check out local aspiring artists in a laid back and very comfortable environment. They usually get a pretty decently sized and eclectic crowd of people.

A very small independently run gallery on the corner of Charles Allen and Ponce, mostly featuring varied collecitons of young local artists for sale at very reasonable prices. Their shows tend to have a theme(the first one I’d been to being: robots) and offer a distinct array of interpretiation from artists of many different styles. Mixed media tends to be popular among the work they display, though I’ve seen others. Both openings I’ve been to were well attended and nicely done, including a cheap drink bar and free snacks, which kept the people coming in to check it out. It’s nice to have a small place like this Atlanta where young unheard voices can have a forum. Hopefully it will continue on, and inspire other places open in its wake, especially in this underrated area of town.

Join the glitterati at Beep Beep Gallery for art and not just for arts sake, for goodness sake. Every month, this hole in the wall gallery, which is nestled next to a shoe cobbler(yes they still exist), features up and coming artists whose art work isn’t restricted to just a canvas but could be old photographs applied to wood, cut n’ copied zines or spray pain on old window frames. Every month gets more intriguing than the last so be the first you know buy a zine or piece from one of Atlanta’s freshest new galleries. I think the Beatles said it best: Beep beep, yeah.
