Authentic Hair Salon

PLEASE BE AWARE! I purchased a Groupon deal off
for Authentic Hair Salon with Loretta. I contacted her via phone to set up an Appointment. I had to call twice which was a personal cell number. My appointment was scheduled for the following week. Day of appointment: As I drove to the sketchy location where the salon was located, it was Red Flag #1. My appointment was scheduled at 4pm and I arrived at 3:50pm. Red Flag #2, the salon was shut down with a post it saying «Call Maat at #…» Red Flag #3, the # provided was a non-​working #. So I waited 20 minutes for Loretta to arrive and she was extremely rude at arrival. I have been going to Professional hair salons all my life and I’ve never had a Hair Salon owner say to me «I had crap to do, its not my fault you came early.» Now the worst had yet to come. Loretta stated I have to pay $ 21 extra on top of the Groupon I already paid for which I was willing to. I asked for a list of her prices and services and she refused to show me. I told her politely that I don’t want her services cause I’m uncomfortable and feel uneasy. Well all hell broke loose from there. She cursed me and kept saying she had errands to do. I kept telling her I just want to leave because ill just go to my usual Dominican Hair Salon. She started to curse more and stated she does hair much better than the Dominicans. The biggest red flag was when she started to block the hair salon door so I couldn’t leave and started showing me pics of half naked women’s hair on her cell phone. She even asked me for my cell phone to pull up pictures on a website which of course I said No. I recorded everything that was happening and I had to physically force myself out of her salon and ran to my car. I also had to call the Police and she was even more Psycho towards the officer. I have never experienced such psychotic behavior at a Hair Salon and Unprofessionalism. She even ran after me when I ran for my life and made horrible remarks such as «That’s why my hair is so dam nappy.» PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM LORETTA AT AUTHENTIC HAIR SALON!!! This type of behavior is far from Normal. I rather spend $ 60 at a Professional Hair Salon than almost losing my life. She was extremely desperate for my $ that she barricaded herself at the door so I couldn’t leave. I recorded everything on my phone and I will be reporting Loretta to Better Business Bureau. Stay away from this nut case!

Loretta has taken my hair from over processed, dry and damaged after 25 years of relaxers to a beautiful natural press, I love having healthy hair that moves and is not breaking !!! I highly suggest her, I been to hair stylist all over Atlanta, I finally feel at home with her!

Loretta has been doing my hair for years! I have natural hair and she is able to do any style I want… two-​strand twists, flat-​ironed, curly, ANYTHING. Right now I have a full sew-​in for the summer and people have no clue, they think I just have my hair pressed out! Plus, the salon is private, upscale, and affordable! Love this place, love Loretta… GO!

Loretta is terrific at getting and keeping my hair in the best condition! I recently decided to join the «natural» ladies and transition to un-​relaxed hair. I’m more partial to straight hair and Loretta gets my hair super duper straight and bouncey without the excessive heat like going to a dominican salon. I used to cringe when it was time to get my ends trimmed with other stylists but Loretta does a great job without taking off length. I stumbled across this salon while walking my dog one day and I don’t know why I called but I’m so happy I did!
