Service was good our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food presentation is excellent! The food itself was okay. It wasn’t bad but I wasn’t blown away. I had a steak tostada and my friend had the. Chicken enchilada. The tostada itself was good but there was some white sauce drizzled all over which I did not enjoy. Salsa trip was egh. Didn’t care for the queso or traditional salsa but the gauc was good! All in all it was okay. Prices are kind of high and menu is limited.

This fun, eclectic spot was a delightful experience for brunch on a cool December Sunday. Reggie was a joy and provided great service. This was our first time coming«across the street» from one of our traditional brunch spots, and we’re really glad we did. If you enjoy a delicious, southern brunch, especially if you favor Tex-Mex options, I would highly recommend you stop in. We partook of the Divorced Eggs, the Crab Benedict, and bloody Mary’s…all which I would recommend and have again myself.

So, the place itself is really cool and a inviting atmosphere with the patio. The steak tacos were pretty good, could use a little kick somewhere in it. The queso was fire, only way to put it. But the salsa was awful. Straight water.

I love this place. This is the place that my husband took me for our first date so ofcourse I have a sentimental attachment to it but besides that the food is good and ambience is very chill, great patio area for the summer time and there is one particular server that we love, she’s a blonde with curly hair I couldn’t tell you her name though. If you haven’t eaten here you should definitely try it out.

We came here for a post bachelorette party recuperation brunch. They sat us immediately with our reservation outside on the porch. The décor is eclectic and feels like a little hole in the wall spot. The menu has all your Mexican favorites, plus some brunch twists. The margaritas were fantastic! Highly recommend. The food was also that sort of really good tex mex variety that makes you feel satisfied and greasy in the best way. I had the nachos and they were enormous! The only downsides were that the service was pretty terrible. Our waitress was really nice and personable, but they must have been understaffed that day because she was also the bartender and the only one covering tables outside. I doubt this is her fault, but it made everything run extremely slow and we were there for 2.5 hours. Overall, solid Mexican spot, but don’t expect anything fancy!

I love the margaritas and the fried burrito was delicious. I wish there weren’t such dicks about the not letting us order take out tacos on $ 2 taco Tuesday. I’d rather people leave to keep the tables open for more customers, versus forcing us to stay there for the discount.

Good was great and and so was my marguarita! Was a bit disappointed to see someone enter the restaurant with their dog.

I wanted to love this place– the atmosphere was awesome and the covered patio was so cool. However, the service was awful, and they were out of three things we tried to order… Which she didn’t tell us until we already tried to order. When our tacos came they were absolutely nothing special, and she even messed up our order a little bit. Just unfortunately not worth it.

This was my second visit to Across the Street and I’ve always had a really great experience. The Service: The two times I’ve been were at off-peak times and I seriously had some of the BEST service I could ask for. My waiters have always been especially friendly. I even overheard a waiter ask a diner if he wanted to borrow his sunglasses because he noticed him squinting. The Food: They have really unique menu offerings — definitely a twist on your normal Mexican fare. Thing are a tiny bit pricier though. I really love the fajitas(they have plantains and sweet potatoes!) And Tuesdays are $ 2 tacos! The Atmosphere: It’s all about the patios! Very fun, casual, laid back atmosphere. Parking: You may have to drive around just a little bit to find street parking.

3 Trips there so far. 1st trip, service was horrible and the food was very good. Waitress had no idea how to do her job. 2nd trip, service was slow and pushy about closing time, when we were waiting on them. Food was good. 3rd trip, waited about 20 minutes for them to clear a table. Then 30 minutes to have are order taken. The people who got seated after us, ate and left before they even took are order. Food was ok, not very hot. Waiter was high or drunk. It has a good location/layout and that is about it. Hopefully they get there act together.

Pros: Nice patio & got to bring my puppy to dinner! House margaritas are pretty good. Cons: Corn tortillas on our tacos totally fell apart even with 2 tortillas per taco. I love spice, but the mango margarita with chile burned my throat & didn’t add to the flavor. We also got talked into a redneck margarita that wasn’t on the menu(margarita with 2 beer bottles in it). We had no idea it was basically a fish bowl & ended up costing over $ 20. *I’d go back to try some of the vegetarian options, other dishes looked better than the tacos we ordered. A little over-priced for the quality of the food though…

Today was one of those days where everything was aligned in such a way that this review merits five(5) stars! The parking was perfect. The short jaunt from the roadside to the restaurant’s entry was pleasant. The moment we entered into ATS the calm and coolness captured me. We made our way to the middle of the front room where a few of the servers were standing around. We were greeted by a nicely bearded server who offered us our choice of seating – front area or back patio. We initially ventured to the covered back patio, but upon reaching it we were overtaken by Hotlanta’s heat and humidity. We decided to take a table in the air-conditioned front area. Fortunately, we were the only party inside. No crowding, no problem. There was island music waifing throughout that instantly was reminiscent of being inside Bahama Breeze. It was clean, calm and comfortable inside. Our server was very amicable, helpful, patient, and overall awesome at what he does. We were told we missed brunch and when I asked if the menu was the same he offered me to look at the separate brunch menu for future reference. My party all ordered something different from each other with the exception of myself and my oldest. However, I had an add-on to mine wherein she ventured slightly from the dish by taking off a few of the accouterments included. The food was delicious! The flavors within my dish complimented so well my mouth had a calypso party on its own! Literally my food tasted so good I passed on the opportunity to taste my husband’s dish because I didn’t want to ruin my good thing. Plus, I fell in like with the place I already had my mind set to return and knew I would order something altogether different for the adventure of it! The prices were reasonable as far as Mexican is concerned. Complimentary chips and salsa abound in these type of establishments so when something like exceptional tasting salsa comes into play you take notice. ATS salsa was slammin’! It had just the right amount of kick. Not only was the salsa hittin’, our server started us off with a separate dipping bowl for each of us. No double-dipping-cooties necessary! He also planted two baskets of chips off-center for a party of our size. No «pardon-my-reach» to grab chips while waiting on the entrees to arrive. Which brings me to the wait. The expeditious service from sit down to entrée serving time was super fast! We haven’t had such quick service within a Mexican restaurant since our go to spot back in Winter Park, FL. All in all, this will get repeat visits from us. More than likely I will come for brunch and again for ‘linner’ I’m sure.

Since we have been, residents of Inman Park, the number of times we had passed by Across the Street had been many, but the number of times we had visited was zero. Why is that? Great question. Until this past weekend, I hadn’t really thought of it as more than a simple watering hole with the occasional menu change. With a good chunk of my family in tow, we visited for a semi-late lunch and had a great time. As far as location goes, you really couldn’t ask for much more — access via the BeltLine and connected path(s), close views of Downtown, patio seating, outdoor game area with cornhole and lounge-y chairs. The list goes on. It’s a super cozy spot. Also, having this place within walking distance makes matters easier since we can just roll out of our place with the kiddo in the stroller instead of fighting for a parking spot. Which is another great point — You never know how a place is going to react to you having a baby with you. It’s a bit tight inside of the restaurant but the staff were so happy to see our baby boy and helped us make room for him next to our table. They then, of course, came by several times to admire is cuteness. The menu was pretty simple, but all of us forewent brunch and went straight for tacos. I had the fried tilapia tacos with a frozen lime margarita. Now, as a casual diner who typically never orders alcohol at lunch, I was much obliged by how delicious this margarita was. Not too boozy, not too sweet, but nice and sour with perfect ice-y texture. It was like a slurpee from 7−11… but with booze. I felt like an under-qualified margarita enthusiast, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The tacos, as well, were great. The plate came with three tacos, rice, and beans. It seems like they aren’t trying to blow you away with anything, but rather just create some very subtle, yet still delicious and awesome, menu items. I really appreciate that about this spot. I’m really glad we had a chance to visit. It was the perfect place for us to crash for a while at an off hour. I’d love to recreate this experience at some point in the near future.

Guacamole, they fail to list the ingredient that takes up half off the tiny cup — arugula. Oh, I’m sorry, did you pay $ 8 for something to dip your chips in? Enjoy your side salad. And to reiterate what everyone else has said, the drinks are too expensive, the service is terrible, and the food is lackluster. You come here for the location

Delicious food and excellent margaritas I hear they make the mix fresh each day with fresh squeezed juice. strong but so tasty. I would say the perfect margarita. My server Marianne was completely on top of her game and we had excellent service. I will definitely come back again. Best patio on the park, and who can beat Tuesday two dollar Taco’s. Plus they have tons of vegetarian options and three different homemade salsa’s as well. Thanks Across the street.

So, let me start with the positives: I love the location of the restaurant and the laid back atmosphere. Additionally, the wait staff is very welcoming and attentive. However, I’d have to say that the food left something to be desired. I opted for the three taco plate and ordered a combination of three different tacos – pulled pork, fried tilapia and chipotle shrimp. The one that confused me the most was the fried tilapia taco. I was expecting your typical fish taco but instead, I received one large piece of fried tilapia with a tortilla wrapped around it. I couldn’t even finish it. The shrimp taco was just meh… the flavors weren’t memorable… basically, nothing to write home about. The only item I would consider ordering again was the pulled pork taco, but there are several other places in Atlanta where you can get amazing pulled pork tacos. I will go back to Across the Street if I’m just going to have a couple drinks on a patio, but it’s not my choice for good tacos. Sorry.

20% gratuity included on our bill of 5 people .a little upsetting that we were not informed nor did we see it on the menu. Aside from that the food was good and the place wAs super cute. Most of our party got the chorizo eggs Benedict which was amazing and one got the brisket and Mac which was not the best it needed flavor and the Mac needed less flavor.

We were taking a walk in the neighborhood and decided to have brunch here for the first time. I had the Divorced Eggs and my boyfriend had the Marley. My dish consisted of two different egg burritos with different sauces. It also came with refried beans. My boyfriend’s dish consisted of maduros, black beans, scrambled eggs and a cheese sauce with tortillas. I really enjoyed my HUGE plate of food. They really could cut the portions in half and charge the same price. The beans were really runny and covered in cilantro, so I deduct a star. Otherwise, the sauces were excellent and the eggs were buttery and yummy. My boyfriend really enjoyed his meal. I tried his maduros and they were way to sweet for me. He ate all of them though. I didn’t read the reviews before visiting this restaurant. After reading the reviews, I was very surprised that there are so many negative reviews. Service was wonderful, the patio was great, the food was very good and it is a great place to people watch.
