There is a reason this company is floundering, and the reason lies within their brick and mortar stores. I attempted to return a pair of jeans that I purchased online in store(because they charge $ 7 per mail in return) in the early evening. When I finally got up to the counter, I was told that they were«no longer accepting returns for the day.» WHUT. I understand you don’t want negative sales numbers for your store, but this is a TERRIBLE customer service policy. You are alienating the exact customer you want to purchase your wares! I didn’t even bother to push the issue because I didn’t see the point of wasting my breath with a sinking ship. If anyone has ever had this issue, call their customer service line at 1(866) 681‑3115. I was connected to a very nice lady who waived my return fee. I hope the company’s cash reserves can last out this year because from what I saw, even this Atlanta flagship store is set to close.

The MadTV Abercrombie skits are just perfect — employees who are ‘vain, unhelpful, and overly-coiffed.’ However, I didn’t think they were rude, racist, or discriminating at all, «clueless and could care less» is more like it but I don’t think it was out of spite. I think they were just… kinda…learning. Yeah, that’s it. Ahh. let ‘em enjoy that naïveté while they can. The real world’s tough enough. why stress out over helping out an employee at a part-time mall job? Lol.

Sweet mother of God! Someone put Abercrombie & Fitch out of its misery. Many moons ago, or rather known as circa 2000 to 2005, I worked at Abercrombie. I have semi-fond memories of learning how to «perfect fold» jeans with semi-fun people for minimum wage. I also have haunting flashbacks of having to spritz the mannequins with Fierce cologne on an hourly basis. All and all though, it was a decent job that opened a lot of doors for me back in my former retail management life in my early twenties. Well, fast forward to 2014, and I read an article online that they finally parted ways with long-time CEO Mike Jeffries. I then went down a Google rabbit hole and read several articles on their slumping sales and how teenager style has changed but Abercrombie has not. Curiosity got the best of me while Christmas shopping on Saturday night. It was bad. Really bad. They still have the dark store, techno music(which is actually kind of appropriate now that EDM is mainstream), destroyed denim, and sweatshirts with A&F plastered all over them. Basically it was like walking into Y2K. The problem here is that even though I’m far from a teenager these days, I am still very knowledgeable of fashion and this is bad. Basically my review is nothing negative about this specific store. The employees were actually super friendly(perhaps desperate?) and offered to help me find something in my size while I was in there sleuthing around. The problem is that the brand in general is so far out of touch with current trends that at the rate it’s going Abercrombie & Fitch will soon be the store that it’s target demographic goes to whilst searching for clothes for 2000s themed frat parties. Final note: If anyone from the A&F Campus in Columbus, Ohio(yes, I still remember that their home office is called a «campus») ever reads this review, yours truly is willing to quit her day job, still not jump on the class action lawsuit bandwagon, and completely market your company to a rebirth. Until then, bless Abercrombie’s little heart because this place is just painful.

They do not know how to print gift receipts here. The employee who rung me up told me to my face he was creating a gift receipt and when I walked away I realized it was not in fact a gift receipt. When confronted by another employee, he admitted he did not know how to do it. The manager is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Will be contacting corporate. It ended up taking over 40mins to get a gift receipt

This place stinks! Literally! I don’t shop here, but I every time I walk past here to get to the stores that I do actually shop at, I have to hold my breath. It is so strong. They must use about 5 bottles of perfume/cologne per day to keep the place smelling that horrid. When I did shop here back in the days, the customer service did stink just as bad. Also, they don’t hire bad-looking teenagers. It seems you have to be genetically-blessed to work there.

Horrible and unprofessional. they should shut this location down. Bad experience here. Super«ghetto» reminds of Central Station(club in the«hood»). Nothing but high schools running around the stores… no wait. those are the employees lol only one line was opened while other employee yapping about on the store phone talking about dudes. Standard has dropped.

Ok, I’ve never written a review for a store experience before but this place has the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. Last week when I purchased a pair of sweatpants for my teenage son(on sale – half price), I asked the manager-in-training why they continually have poor customer service(that is, no one working a changing area so you can’t get access, standing in line for 20 minutes while 3 transactions happen in front of you, etc). I was told that the store finds it hard to keep employees. Well, I walked out of the store with my sweatpants in hand and a security tag on the pants. But of course, no one heard it because of the thumping loud music.(I do like thumping loud music when I go out and meet up with friends.) I returned today with the pants in the bag(without the tag), but with the receipt in the bag. An employee working the floor greeted me and my bag as soon as we entered(they are good at that, especially since the alarm sounded). I walk directly over to him and told him my story. He said that because the tag was not on the clothing, he would have to ask his manager if they could take the security sensor off. He handed me over to the guy who sold me the sweatpants and I reminded him of our previous encounter and he stated that he had to ask his manager whether he could help me. I explained to him that he should be apologizing to me because I have had to make a second trip to the store for something that he should have taken care of the first time around. Despite acknowledging his error, he still had to explain to the manager of my story(for a 3rd time). He mentioned that someone stole 3 pieces of clothing like this last week and they need to follow instructions for these services to be rendered. I reminded him that we all have to protect ourselves from being taken advantage of but as we have a relationship, he should treat his client better. He eventually took the sensor off, but I doubt much will change there. My family will not be shopping there again. And I will share my poor customer service story with as many folks as I can. Vote with your feet!

My favourite brand of clothes. i love the shop, with the music, the fragrance, the«darkness» :) it looks so nice! The clothes are awesome. fashionable, cool, and… soft! :) and is the only place where the SMALL fit me, because usually the american standard SMALL is too large for me :)

I won’t lie. I love their jeans. It may be catered to the college crowd but being from New England, I am intrigued by the obsession of frat punks and sorostitutes trying to look refined like New Englanders. I can tell you that New Englanders aren’t as refined as you think. If you’ve never participated in crew(that’s rowing to those of you who don’t know) then why would you want clothing that hints that you do? Customer service is pathetic but that’s what you get for hiring Greek associated snobs who can’t even spell Abercrombie and Fitch. The female employees are rude to women that have curves(yeah, a size 8 is large size according to them). I actually heard one say in response to asking for size 8, «Sorry. We don’t carry large sizes» in an extremely disrespectful tone. I like my women with some meat on their bones. Try that on the street and you might need to visit the dentist to have some bridges put in to replace your missing teeth. I can actually feel my IQ drop when I walk by the store. When you walk in, the music makes you feel like you’re in a club. It’s way too loud for the shopper. How do they stay open? I never see more than five people in there at a time. I guess each person must be purchasing $ 500 in clothing(that’s what you’ll pay for three items if you don’t know how to shop). I do stop in to humor myself and see if a decent sale is going on. The jeans still fit me the best overall(I have muscular thighs from playing soccer all of my life).

A&F makes my skin crawl in all the wrong places. First of all, the place is dark. It makes me want to get a flash light just to look at the clothes. Second, it feels like I am entering the underside of a high school bleachers. Doesn’t help that when I first went inside, I saw a couple of kids making out in the corner. Okaaaayyy. . Third, the models. I appreciate a well-formed male body(disclosure: I am very red-blooded heterosexual male), but not in my face all the time — especially if they are bare-chested and look like their pants are about to fall off. At times, I wanted to head over to the womens’ section just so that I can«re-assure» myself(haven’t done that yet, because I am so afraid of what will happen next). Finally, the clothes in the store doesn’t seem to be worth the price(even the clothes on sale are expensive). I can find the same style of shirts for about 2/3rds of the price at A&E. Plus, they really need to diversify on the colors. After, there is more to life than blue, gray and white. I still go there ever now and then, just to see if there is something worth getting. So far, no joy. P. S. why it is when you look up A&F in Unilocal Atlanta, over half of them are under«Children’s Clothing»? EDIT: Okay, I wasn’t closely when I said they need to diversify on the colors. Added a start. Everything else still stands.
