Mauro A Rossi, DPM

Dr Rossi is a useless provider to see. My wife saw him in September 2015. The visit went like this:
We spent close to 2 hours waiting to be seen. This happened because I’m a disabled veteran and so my wife’s insurance is through ChampVA. Dr Rossi doesn’t like ChampVA. He says they don’t pay him, this is ironic because he doubled billed her insurance for the same appointment and got paid both times. First he had his receptionist contact ChampVA to confirm he would get paid. That wasn’t good enough so he had his office manager call them back to reconfirm. This still wasn’t good enough so he called them to triple confirm. This process is why we had to wait so long. But finally my wife was permitted through the golden gates to an exam room.
Throughout the entirety of the appointment Dr Rossi never stopped talking about money. He tried to push multiple «cash only» services he offers. This included some sort of cream he pushes for about $ 40 a tube. He’ll tell you that you must pay cash for it and your insurance won’t cover it, this is a lie. Every pharmacy in town carries it, and it is most certainly covered by insurance. Even after my wife’s appt was over and she had already declined the cream he came out to the checkout desk and put some on the table and told his employee to charge us for it. We reminded him again we didn’t want his cream, he continued to try pushing it on us.
My wife had some lab samples taken while she was there. After not hearing from the clinic after a week or so she called to find out her results, she was told they were negative. They wouldnt release a copy of the lab report to her without paying a fee for results. So she had her primary care provider contact the clinic to get the records, Dr Rossi wouldn’t send them.
This week we recieved a bill notice from the lab company. Dr Rossi had sent incorrect insurance information so the lab didn’t get paid. As we handled this with the lab we found out her tests weren’t negative. She had positive results that Dr Rossi’s clinic lied to us about.
The bottom line here is this doctor clearly has a cash problem. Everything he offers has something to do with a cash payment. I’ve never seen anything like it. He also has a horrible attitude. He actually yelled at employees in front of us. DO NOT SEE THIS DR.
Additionally, now I’ve learned he flat out won’t treat vets, to include Choice Program, Tricare, and ChampVA. Let’s show our support for other physicians in the area that actually care about their patients.

Charged me for service never done. Called and requested call back and never got returned a call. Saw him over a 4 month period and never saw any improvement. Saw a orthopedist and he spent more time with me in one visit than Dr, Rossi did in 4 months and improvement in 24 hours!
