This is now my first stop for groceries then I head to Vons for those fresher items I couldn’t find. Don’t go to this store expecting to find everything you need for a specific dinner (although I did last time I went). If you aren’t looking for specific items or brands, this store is awesome. The merch is always changing so you never know what you will find!

What a funny place, not a big seletion, very low prices, and it is almost like a second hand store, but with food. To save money it can be helpful. At one point I felt like I had stepped into a time machine and a market in 1958, but the feeling passed. Try it and judge for yourself.

Grocery Discount Center has a lot of near-​expired and bruised food items. If you’re careful, you can stay away from those that are badly dinged, however a lot of the merchandise is just overstocked goods from other stores, meaning there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. The prices reflect a considerable discount, albeit with somewhat of a hit in terms of selection. GDC is best for stocking up on emergency canned goods supplies and soups, for that «just in case» emergency. For fresh produce, you are better off looking at Spencer’s.

Want a great deal? This is your place for Canned goods and boxed food and juices. They may be dented but the savings is incredible. Like Costco you better grab what you want because it may not be there next time. Great name brands. They now carry Brian’s Bread. Happy shopping.
