My wife and I decided to take a scenic drive in Templeton and stumbled upon this farm stand. The stand is set back from Templeton Rd. down a long straight dirt driveway at a bend in the road. We were in an adventurous mood and decided to head down the driveway. The stand is great. The owner Connie is very nice! They had a real abundance of offerings. I bought a lot of produce, amongst which were Roma tomatoes, fresh peppers, habaneros, onions & garlic. I made my first ever salsa, which was a lot of fun. We are making the drive from San Luis Obispo this morning and I am going to buy all the makings for a tomato sauce. The vegetables are very well priced. In fact, I felt it was too cheap for the quality and tried to leave more money. This strategy failed and Connie just gave me more free stuff — «a reverse mugging». :)

We decided to take the back roads on our way from Templeton to San Luis Obispo and stumbled across Connie’s Gourmet Vegetable Farm. SOGLAD we stopped in. We loaded up on fresh picked extremely affordable produce — beets, herbs, watermelon, tomatoes, peppers, onions, roma tomatoes, jalapeños and eggplant. Connie was very friendly and helped us pick out which watermelons to select — they all felt really good though! Any unsold produce is donated or fed to the cattle. Had a really nice time and are looking forward to returning.
