I always order the pechuga empanizada and it is so delicious! However this time, I asked for extra green sauce and I only got the normal amount for two dishes.

Like always, FASTDELIVERY! Great portions as well. I ordered the«Carne Guisada» and it was really good. Although I’ll stick to the Pechuga Empanisada. Thank You Sandro’s!

The service was nonexistent, the waitress could not tell me what they had to drink, brought dinner before the appetizers and never came back to check on us. Giant food portions, unfortunately it was very bland! I have no idea how this place has 3 stars!

Eaten their food by delivery only so far, delivery always arrives 10mins before estimated time which is awesome. i forgot the name of the platter i get, its about $ 18 and comes with a lot of food, great taste but the meats are just a little on the salty side for me. but overall never had any issues when ordering, next time I’ll make my way to the restaurant.

Home cooked Latin food near me– it cannot get better. Like everyone says they give you huge portions for a decent price. Ask for the green sauce. My favorite is the Bandeja Paisa. Also, the chicken soup seriously hits the spot when your sick or on a cold winter day.

I LOVE Latin food ! With that being said I thoroughly enjoyed Sandro’s food for the most part. I ordered the Pechuga Empanizada which Is breaded chicken cutlets, rice, beans, and salad as well as the beef rib soup for delivery. Everything arrived within 20 min fresh and hot. The chicken was so very good flavorful and juicy the beans were good as well as the salad which had fresh avocado ! BUT I was very underwhelmed by the soup I would pass on it not very flavorful not much texture. Overall I was very happy with the meal and it was enough to share with another person ! I’ll definitely visit again

The portions are huge and so delicious! I ordered seco de pollo(chicken stew with yellow rice, salad and avocado slice) and wow I’m in love! It’s so delicious and so tasty at the same time. The green sauce is a perfect sauce to combine with the food because it adds with the flavor. I’m definitely coming back here again!

Let me start off by saying that I have never visited this restaurant. How can I write a review about a store I never have ever entered you ask? A few years ago I was working from home and was bored of eating left overs and wanted something different and found Sandros and I’ve been ordering from them since. I don’t intend to ever visit the store and it could easily be run out of an trap house and I’d still order from them. I’ve now ordered everything on the menu and I have to say that I love everything minus the paella. Skip it and you’ll be fine. I tend or order the pernil sandwich along with a side of the chicharrón which hits the spot every time. If you are feeling like being a fatty, get the bandeja paisa.

Its not the fanciest place but well worth it. From the outside we weren’t sure if to go in and thought it would be empty but we decided to give it a try. The service is good and so was the food, we really wasnt expecting much but we’re suprised. Will be coming back.

Im a restaurateur not a UnilocalER ! Sandro’s is truly an authentic Mexican restaurant. Family runned. The mother in the kitchen and daughter in the dining room. The food is so tasty. Just the right amount of spices. I had the shrimps in garlic sauce, not oily or greasy and just enough garlic and wine to make the perfect sauce.

The most disgusting paella I’ve ever had in my life!!! Frozen shrimp the size of a quarter Frozen peas and carrot cubes all throughout The rice was a pathetic excuse for yellow rice and had chunks of white throughout A rotten avocado Puny octopus WAY too much sausage steak and chicken Crab legs??? Seriously? The peppers were disgusting The side order of yellow rice came white.

I’ve always been obsessed with Colombian food since traveling to Colombia and Sandros always has the best food to satisfy my cravings. They have a lot of options in their menu with portions being very generous and filling. There is something for everyone. I always get Bandeja Paisa and jugo de mora. They also have equadorian food.

Wow this must be the best Colombian/Ecuadorian place I have ever been too, the food is amazing, complements on the chef, they must taste everything before it goes out becuase it does not need anything else. It’s perfect. The portion sizes are massive and the price is fair. Like 20 $ for 2 ppl and it is enough to take home and eat left overs. Complements to the chef the servers and person who runs this place. I only post reviews for great places and this is one of them. What a jewel in this neighborhood. Thank you sandro’s Latin food. I got the churrasco ecuataoriano and my gf got the pechuga empainizada. I loved them both. Great flavor.

I was in queens looking for some good Colombian food and searched on Unilocal and found this place. My family and I decided to give it a try and wow so disappointing! Unilocal never let me down but this time it did. First I need to clear that this spot is not a Colombian restaurant but does have some Colombian dishes on the menu. Also I saw and read great thing about the ceviche and I happen to think it was the worst I ever had. So i just changed the category to Latin American bc someone listed it wrong and seeing that it was Colombian was sooooo misleading! I think I saw a Ecuador flag inside but whatever at the end of the day it was not a 4 star place to me. The bandeja paisas steak was chewy and the pork wasn’t crispy enough but the rice and beans were good.

Portions are MASSIVE! Awesome prices– about $ 7 for the arroz con pollo which lasted me for three meals and still had more than enough. Only downside is that they don’t give you enough of the green sauce to hold you over. Also pretty oily!

The food is delicious and authentic. Prices are reasonable and the portions are big! I recommend the chaulafan, ceviches, and the soups. Lunch specials are a must!

This place is Amazing!!! Holy shit was the food Good!!! At first I was so nervous… It’s literally a hole in a wall. You will miss it if you don’t look. The place is a little simple and dull… Which made me a little nervous about how the food would have come… BUT when the food was served,… Man. That sealed the deal! The rice was perfect, the meat was fresh, the beans are also fresh! Listen, I have been eating beans since I’ve been born, and I can tell you when beans have been in a pot just seating there and being kept warm. This place has fresh beans! Very rare to find in a Spanish restaurant. This place is awesome! I really pray it does not lose its touch… I love the low key and how delicious the food is. Highly recommend it!!!

Delivery! Fast delivery! It was Delicious. After having surgery, walking was not an immediate option. Went to seamless and craving latin food, I came across Sandro’s! I ordered empanadas beef and cheese which were hot and well flavored with a crispy shell. The maduros were DELICIOUS! Baked, glazed and naturally sweet. Entrees: mixed rice Chufa(chicken, beef, hotdog slices(its a spanish thing) shrimp and veggies. Very flavorful and most importantly, NOTSALTY! Half slice of fresh avocado and side salad comes with it. The pork chops with white rice, plantains were surprisingly good. Its easy to overcook pork chops but Sandro’s nailed it. The beans are on the side and go well with the chops. Tender and juicy would best describe these chops. The portions are generous and the price is right. Definitely a favorite! Wonder if they have dessert…

After a few beers with a buddy at SingleCut Beersmiths in Astoria, we were hungry. We did a a Google search for Latin food and decided to walk over from the brewery. We had no idea what to expect. We walked away very satisfied on our way back to the N train for a long ride home. Small spot but will be coming back next time after a few rounds at SingleCut.

HUGE portions that could feed me for 3 meals. It legitimately lives up to the hype in this aspect. In terms of service though, the counter girl /our server appeared kinda absent-minded or if I were to be mean, ditzy — we had to clarify our request twice. Language barrier? We’ll never know. In the future I’d probably opt for pickup/delivery than dine-in, tbqh.

I ordered my food online via Unilocal, and the food arrived promptly and I received exactly what I wanted. I ordered the Carne de res Guisada(Beef stew served with rice, sweet plantains, salad and avocado). It was delicious and the portions were huge! I couldn’t even eat the whole thing in one sitting. I would definitely recommend this place to others! If you’re looking for some good Latin food in Astoria, this is the place!

Ordered take out for the first time here. Arroz con pollo(chicken w/rice) came with mixed vegetables in the rice with pieces of chicken mixed in, avocado and sweet plantain for around $ 10. It was a lot of food, easily two portions worth. All-in-all food was okay, a little bland for my tastes. May try something else next time and throw some tabasco or sriracha on it! ‘Til next time

My Husband(Ecuadorian) and I love this place — Their ceviche is one the best! We ordered so much food and brought back the rest for dinner. Their rice is unbelievable! The portions are ridiculous! The décor could be a little bit better, but once your start eating you forget everything about it! Hight recommend trying out!

The food here is so delicious. Prices are great and you get very large portions. I had a little bit of everyone’s meal when we were here on Saturday night. I’m not sure how or what they cook the white rice in, but it is very tasty! I am usually not a fan of white rice, but their’s is soooo good. Definitely want to try the ceviche next time. The chicken soup here is also delicious. Everything was very flavorful.

Ordered the Carne Asada with Yellow Rice and Red Beans, One Chicken Empanada, Lulo and Yuca Fries(Cassava). I opted for no dressing as I typically like to add olive oil and salt to my taste. Delivery was quick, only took about 30 minutes. Expensive but you are getting what you are paying for. Great hangover food, or alternatively to coat your stomach before a night of heavy drinking. If only all takeout were like this(and preferably at 2/3rds the price).

I let my trusty Unilocal app point the way to Sandro’s Latin Food, based on the Unilocal reviews I had high expectations. I ordered the Bandeja Paisa 2 go, which included grilled steak„ Chicharon, rice, beans, sweet plantain, avocado &2 eggs for $ 13.99 great deal with generous portions. The Chicharon skin was not crunchy, it was extremely oily, soggy & chewy. Overall the food was ok, it was nothing special, everything actually tasted a little bland. I guess that is why everyone was pouring green sauce all over there food.
