i called up the original Sabri Nihari in Chicago to ask them if this is their restaurant and they specifically stated, «NO». This appears to be a knock off. The original place in Chicago has clearly denied any links to this place. i“m sure the food may be great but it is important to note this before venturing out there. Also note, I have not tried their food. I was excited about the prospect of going to the Chicago style place but did not want to drive out to Queens(an hour and a half drive for me) if it is a knock off.

I ordered Chicken Tika Masala on rice to go. As soon as I was handed the food, I could feel it wasn’t hot. The rice was plain and slightly gritty. The chicken tika masala was OK, but nothing more. The place is reasonably priced, but that’s all I can really say for it.

I finally decided to stop in! This is a Halal restaurant serving Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi & Mediterranean cuisine.(That’s straight from the menu cover). I purchased 4 roti and also had a dish made of chicken strips in a spicy red sauce containing onions and green and red peppers along with basmati rice that was well flavored. A salad was on the side(so cute in foil… that’s men running a restaurant for you LOL). Very delicious and all for 9 $! I will definitely go again but its definitely not a fancy place, but its clean.
