I had a great experience at this place. I walked in half an hour before they were to close. Billy was not pushy, to me he was very helpful in selecting a bed and mattress that was within my budget. I received next day of my bed and mattress, as well as free assembly! The guys that came and delivered my bed and mattress set everything up promptly, knew what they were doing and even cleaned up after themselves.

I had ordered a futon from
and got a deal but when it came to delivery… they don’t deliver inside apartments. only to the curb. So i cancelled that and went online to find this place. I did pay a bit more over walmartian’s but they had a better product and so I ordered over the phone and they made a 3 hour window appt for 3 days later and they were on time and very professional. They assembled it in 5 minutes. It would have taken me an hour. There is a $ 50 delivery fee… not sure if was because they had to come to the Bronx or if that’s for all locations. Would definitely order from here again anyway.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. My boyfriend and I just moved into our new place and we desperately needed some new furniture. We went to Raymour and Flannigan for our couch, had a very pleasant experience, and had no problems otherwise. We needed a simple coffee table and a smaller TV stand for our living room, so we figured we would go to a store on Steinway to save a few bucks. We get there, are helped by a salesman, look through some catalogues, and decide upon a BLACK coffee table and gorgeous TV stand. It will be delivered in 2 days?! Nice! We get the coffee table at 9:30 PM two days later (ugh) and it is cherry… After a few calls of complaining, they «kindly» decide that they will exchange it. In the same phone call, he tells us the TV stand won’t be in for 2 weeks… We come back in to look at coffee tables, and find one we think is just ok is more than we had originally paid… We get it anyway, and the salesman says he will cover the difference because he messed up. He then informs us that our TV stand will be in LA in 2 weeks, and won’t be to Astoria for at least 4… After finding one that could be delivered ASAP, he says it’s 40 dollars extra and he won’t cover it because of the coffee table. Guess we’re waiting the 4 weeks, I am not paying for someone else’s mistake. No refunds here– make sure to pay with a card (don’t fall for the pay in cash crap) so that if anything happens, you can cancel. Absolutely horrible business with shady, dishonest showroom staff.

Let me tell you something, this place is absolutely awesome! I was shopping around for a living room and bedroom set on Steinway Street for a long time and couldn’t find anything as close to what i finally saw at NY Furniture and Futons. They have very knowledgeable employees, affordable prices and an amazing professional service!
I would definitely recommend to my friends and relatives to shop at NY Furniture and Futons.

A friend had recommended this place. I was a little skeptical having read the reviews but my friend had given them the thumbs up. So I went in looking for a bedroom set. The salesperson billy was very knowledgeable and listened to what I was looking for. I got just what I wanted and at a reasonable price. Would recommend this business to all my friends.

DON“T BUY ANYTHING! They just want your money. Everything they say is a lie.
I bought a white box spring. Billy (sales guy) said it would be white and delivery guys are very nice and they would put old box spring outside.
Box spring was grey. They can’t even change it. Delivery guys didn’t take old box spring out. I called BIlly and he said «ooo well it’s warehouse. I can’t pick color.»

this is a horrible place. i walked in to buy a couch/​loveseat set and they were SO PUSHY. i couldnt even look at things because they were already trying to set up a delivery date for something i didnt even want. i finally struck a deal for a leather set. i was told they had black in stock and it would be delivered on thursday between 2 and 4 so i signed the contract. i get a phone call the next day that my choices are red and brown and it wont be delivered until friday night or sunday. this all AFTER i was forced to put a $ 400 non refundable deposit on the BLACK COUCH i thought i had ordered. when i got mad they got VERY RUDE and told me i cant have my money back and that i was being unreasonable. they also dont accept returns AT ALL. never ever go here.

I just have to say buying our bedroom set from Liz was enjoyable. Both Nick and Liz showed us so many sets and options. They were polite, friendly and made us feel like part of the family. It was such a difference from the other furniture shops on Steinway which were rude, and quite honestly not very clean. We were afraid to lay down on a mattress! Not only did they offer free delivery, we received a 5 day Carnival Cruise to Cozumel as their special thank you gift. The best part is that we live on Long Island and heard about this store and was told it was worth the trip. Speaking about trips, I reccommended a cousin of mine who lives in Rego Park and they bought f a dinette set too and I got a hotel voucher for Atlantic City. How cool is that. My vote is for these guys. Honesty, selection, and value is what you will get when you buy from them.

I am a recent addition to this town and I’ve been sleeping on a mattress for close to a month. Deciding I can’t take it anymore, I decided I needed a box spring (I ordered a bed frame elsewhere and the delivery costs would have been astronomical to get a box spring delivered from the same place).
On a whim I called Furniture and Futon Warehouse. My box spring was on sale, and delivery was free. Aside from the delivery dudes coming an hour and a half late (but it was during one of the hottest weeks in NYC history so it was forgivable), they were quick and painless, all without me having had stepped a foot inside their store. I will totally order from them again. Thumbsup.
