I had dinner with my friend today. We decided to take a booth. Which was really nice, lights were dimmed, very romantic. I had the Aji de Gallina. My friend had the Tallarina Verde. Both plates were delicious! For dessert he had the rice pudding and I had the chocolate cake. Once again another great choice. Lovely place.

I’m not sure what’s up with this place, but they always seem to get my delivery order wrong. There’s also something missing or something’s not right. The latest thing was that on my last order, they forgot the green sauce — and I love the green sauce. So I called, and they said that they sent it. I was like, ‘Why would I be calling if I had it?’ And so the woman said that she’d call me back after she figured out what was up — and never did. Seriously. Get it together, folks.

I have been here 3 times already. Trying to give them enough trials to be fair. Today I couldn’t finish my jalea. That’s pretty impressive. But it was really bad. Sorry guys I tried this dish twice already and you just are far from mastering it.

Little by little this restaurant is going down… It’s so bad because I was expecting a Peruvian restaurant in Astoria but unfortunately servers and one of the owners need to be more professional. I went last time and I ordered CHOROS A LACHALACA… Don’t order it if you are going. The mussels are very tiny and small. I told the owner about it and he didn’t even care about my petition that I’m not satisfied with that dish. I ate only one mussel and the waiter was standing at the bar when we finished our appetizer for almost 15 minutes. You need to be aware and be more attentive buddy! Another thing is portions are very small and prices are high. Tables and silverware are with dust even glasses. The tables with the curtains are too small. Those are more for cocktails tables, we can’t even reach and sit well. Please guys don’t destroy your own place scaring people like that with that kind of prices and portions and having waiters like that. Best of luck!

Food is meh, nice atmosphere, decent service. They really need to get their liquor license so the food will taste better.

Honestly 3 stars is pushing it. The place is amazing, service is amazing. I love the whole Peruvian feel, if I would open a Peruvian restaurant it would end up being like that in terms as decoration wise. The food in my group we had a «Tallarin Verde with the steak medium rare» honestly the steak wasn’t cut right meaning it had way to much fat, there was a lot of cartilage on it and it way too salty. But the«tallarin verde» that didn’t have flavor at all unless my taste buds went numb because of the amount of salt being used. But usually when you have this plate a lot of flavors are going on but you taste the spinach, the pesto. It’s a very delicious dish and hopefully the owner can change it up a little bit. The Lomo Saltado, needs a lot of work, french fries seem like they were frozen, steak didn’t have flavor, not enough vinegar to bring out the flavor, onions were good. They have get the RIGHTGREENSAUCE. Which can be found on «pinterest» but I feel like they have a lot of potential and if they wanted they could visit other Peruvian restaurants and see how it taste or just read the reviews and fix it. I decided to give this place a chance. Will I come back, honestly I would give it a shot just because I’m Peruvian and I support my people. Liquor license coming soon I can only imagine the Peruvian drinks they’ll have. They have a lot of Peruvian drinks like chicha morada which is delicious. Can’t wait to see what they’ll do 2 to 3 months from now. Oh yeah Peruvian music would be nice and Spanish rock or something«spang-lish»

Decent food. The flavors are a little different than your typical peruvian place. I had tallarin con carne and for the price $ 16 the portion was great. Not sold on their brunch menu so I went for regular menu. Service was lovely.

Ingredients were not fresh. Seafood seemed to have been frozen and thawed. The fish is basic tilapia, which is fine, but very boring. The lobster in one of the dishes also seemed to not be fresh. Décor is very nice. Servers mean well. But nothing can make the bad food better.

L, et me start off by saying that the place is beautifully renovated and has a lot of charm. That being said… the food was horrible. I went with my mom and we were hungry. We ordered the tamal with chicken for the appetizer and I ordered the steak with chimichurri(subbing sweet potatoes instead of regular fries) and my mom ordered some entrée with fish calamari, a lobster tail(i can’t remember the name… I wasn’t planning on writing a review). I am positive that the waiter knew that my mom wanted the entrée, because when she ordered it… the waiter repeated it back to her, correcting her pronunciation of the dish. They served us a bowl of corn nuts with two small ramikens of sauce… which is weird because its hard to dip a corn nut. We were wondering why our appetizer was taking so long and then the waiter brings out the appetizer and my steak entrée together. At this point I didn’t even care that he didn’t give us our appetizer first, but when we asked about my mom’s entrée, the waiter(same guy who took our order) said he was unaware that we ordered it. He repeated it back to us correcting the pronunciation. I said forget it we’ll just eat this. The tamal was freezing cold in the middle… we asked if they could heat it up. My steak was tasty, but room temp… had no chimichuuri, and the sweet potatoes had not a grain of salt… no seasoning. After about ten minutes(my poor mom basically just ate my sweet potatoes) they bring out the tamal. room temp. barely warm enough to eat. It was pretty weird. My mom went home and had dinner afterwards:(

We were in 4 and we ordered 6 dishes. ONLY one was good… The fried fish. The lobster was off and it smelled. I’m really disappointed and my expectations were not met. But the place and the girls are really nice so the stars are for them.

Some of the worst, unflavored, unseasoned, tasteless food of my life. My lord. Tried a total of 3 different dishes. All were a bland mess. Several of the ingredients also didn’t appear to be fresh. The only redeeming quality was the pre-meal plantains & corn they put out — those were tasty. Also, the place is beautiful. people were nice. Food was just really, really really, really poor.

if you’re in for Peruvian food Nazca is the place to go! Great atmosphere, lovely staff and a great selection of dishes. Very beautiful decorated combined with the tradional Peruvian setting. I had a great experience! Nazca is a gem.

Family and I stopped in on my last day in NYC. We had plenty of time, so we ordered several plates to share, but the Ceviche Clasico was the table favorite. It had just enough lime and onions to flavor the delicate fresh fish. Should they have had their liquor license at the time, I would not have tasted and LOVED the Chica Morada drink. Amazing on a such warm day. The owner took the time to explain to us the recipe. I must say it is my new fav drink.

I was excited to try this spot. We were starving, it was the prettiest looking restaurant, so we went in. The décor was beautiful, the waiter was very sweet… but the food was terrible. The only good thing I can say about my seafood medley was that it was cooked well, and looked nice, but had zero flavor. The rice was also not tasty which was disappointing. My boyfriend ordered the goat dish which was equally unflavored, but looked nice. I wanted to like this place, so much potential, but it fell short. I told the waiter nicely that the flavor was missing, and he asked that we give it another try next time. I want to, but I’m not so excited anymore to try anything else.

Trying out a new Peruvian spot is always a fun adventure… But I know I’m in for a treat when the first thing on the dinner menu is Ceviché! What I appreciated most about Nazca was its adherence to the traditional Peruvian cuisine, but with a slight twist on each dish that made it feel modern in keeping with the Foodie Revolution taking place in NY. We ordered a plate of mixed Chaufa(chicken/beef and VERY generous in portion), the Oyster Ceviché(amazing), and the Causa de Pollo(truly a beautiful dish, in terms of plating and taste). The location itself is aesthetically pleasing to the eye… Exposed brick, beautiful wood dispersed along the ceilings and walls, and outstanding ambient lighting. What I really enjoyed were the booths we had the pleasure of enjoying our meal in; perfect for an intimate setting as well with thin curtains that can be closed. The front of Nazca opens to a spacious bar area with seats that line a big opening that allows you to enjoy your meal saloon-style. The staff was also amazing! The teamwork among the waiters and waitresses was evident; we never had to look far for them and they were always putting forth that«service with a smile» attitude. Pro Tip: For dessert, get the Alfajores ;)

The food was amazing and tasty. We ordered Jalea, lomo saltado and Entrana runa. All of them big portions, although I was expecting Entraña Runa bigger. Staff was very professional and nice, elegant decoration and very clean. In general I had a really good experience and definitely I will return. tip: ask for the typical Peruvian drink, Chicha Morada, it was super fresh and organic!

Oh my Gosh! This place is so amazing So far I’ve been here twice For brunch and dinner The décor is so warm and down to earth, very rustic. The candles and lighting are just perfect. The food is just so darn good I’m Ecuadorian and I’ve always wondered what was the difference between Peruvian ceviche and Ecuadorian ceviche. Well let me tell you, it shames me to say it but Nazca’s ceviche is way better than my mom’s Ecuadorian ceviche. The staff was very friendly and put up with my many questions. I found out the cooks in kitchen are actually Peruvian and they have created a new menu about a few days ago. Oh and the waitress recommended the picarones, which is like a Peruvian pastry with some honey I ordered it and oh lord. I’ve read the other review and honestly people are being a bit harsh on this place. P. S. the AC is on full blast, so bring a hoodie :)

Very nice décor, clean. Good for dates, especially if you are seated in one little cabanas. Food was good, not very much vegetarian options, Nazca salad was good, lomo Saltado was good. No liquor though. And those cabanas… Well as nice as they are, they lead to oblivion, the waitstaff forgets about you. And for the first time ever, I saw someone playing a video game on one of the restaurants screens.

I hate to do this because this place is new and the service was great, but the food needs a HUGE improvement. The jalea is frozen seafood that is breaded, fried and over salted. The leche de tigre was probably the best thing we ordered, and it was not that great. We also ordered a watermelon and avocado salad that has no flavor. It was just those two ingredients chopped up and then a drizzle of balsamic on the side. My husband and I were very disappointed. We hope the food improves because the space is very cute and could be a great new restaurant in Astoria.

We ate at Nazca on their opening weekend, and were willing to be forgiving of the kinks and blips that need to be ironed out(of which there were multiple). But the food was delicious, the ambiance was awesome, and staff did their best to acknowledge and make up for the bumps along the way. The positives: The décor is really cool inside, with lots of trendy wood paneling, exposed brick, interesting light fixtures, and a few booth tables with comfortable padded seating. All portions were huge. — Clasico ceviche: Easily the best item we ordered. Super fresh with a really nice citrus peppery kick to it. — Leche de tigre ceviche: Still good, but not as good as the clasico. This one was a little sweeter/more tame, and the fluke was tougher to eat. — Paribuela: We were not expecting a GIANT plate of seafood complete with muscles, octopus, shrimp, a full piece of tilapia, and a full lobster tail… for $ 16! The dish was very simple with lots of ocean flavors. — Costatillos de tio: These ribs were so phenomenal! Another favorite. The spice rub was packed with flavor and the meat was cooked well. It was accompanied by a cool/crunchy radish slaw that was the perfect complement. The bumps: Waited 15 minutes before a waiter came over, waited 45 minutes for our appetizers, and our second entrée didn’t arrive until we’d been there for an hour and 45 minutes. To make up for the delayed timeline, the restaurant gave us a complimentary ensalada de maiz y queso blanco. This also had great flavor and texture, tasted very fresh, and was slightly sweet. The restaurant wasn’t prepared for such a huge crowd on opening weekend, but it seems like this is something that will be fixed moving forward. Nazca has a lot of potential and is a great addition to the neighborhood!
