Lic Florist

Because I’m a procrastinator, I ordered my flowers two weeks before the wedding. I was worried that I wasn’t going to be able to find a florist that could work on such short notice, and if I was able to find someone, that they’d charge me an arm and a leg to get the job done. Neither of these things happened at LIC Florist.
When I walked in, Becky greeted me and I said, «um, so, my wedding is in two weeks and I need flowers… can you guys work with that time frame?» Becky looked at me, almost like I was asking if the sky was blue, and said, «um, yeah, no problem.» Great! We spoke a little bit about what I wanted (various shades of orange), and she took it from there. To be honest, I don’t know much about flowers and centerpieces and whatnot, so I let her kind of tell me what to do (she suggested that I incorporate some other fall colors, etc), but when I had suggestions or ideas, she was able to work with what I wanted without an issue.
Prices were very reasonable, service was friendly, delivery was made early, and most importantly, the flowers were GORGEOUS! I absolutely loved them, and I’m normally sort of indifferent to decorative flowery stuff. I got so many compliments on both the bouquet and the centerpieces, and the people who got to take the centerpieces home were acting like they won the freakin’ lottery.

LIC florist did our wedding flowers and I’ve got nothing but good things to say. The flowers were gorgeous. We didn’t have any strong ideas and they talked us through everything and were very reasonably priced. Highly recommended for an important event.

Liked them better when they were on the corner of Ditmars as Metropolitan Flowers.
The quality of the service is not the same. The sister who was usually at that store has a better way with people.
I will not buy flowers if she is there.
Very Disappointed and the pickings are very slim in Astoria.

On a particularly cold night and with the objective of cheering myself up, I walked into this flower shop and saw the gorgeous sunflowers. The owner, Jeannie assisted me, showed genuine interest in providing excellent service and even threw in some free fillers. Serendipity should be the new name of this flower shop as I was not looking for a local go-​to florist, but have one now. :-)
