Wanted to catch a college basketball game on tv and eat and drink at the same time. The food menu is so so and there weren’t many healthy options but I knew that going in and what else would I expect with bar food. Bartenders were decent, manager was nice and changed to my game on the tv no problem. The place gets really loud on Saturday nights and is hard to get a pool table but is a good time. Lots of other board games, card games, cards against humanity to play with too. Fun place

Food is great. Had a lot of fun here. I would have rated it a 5 star, but the waitress wasn’t attentive. It came to the point where she thought we walked out and called the police before we had the chance to pay our bill. We paid the bill, of course. But I think she should have checked for us before assuming the worse. Very unprofessional. Other than that, it’s a great place. Maybe I was unlucky to have such poor service.

Loved this space! So many different games; pretty good menu for quick dinner(so you can go back to playing). Only thing is, we had a long wait time to get a pool table even though at times we saw some unoccupied because the people who reserved it weren’t there. **There should be a better way to manage reserving pool tables!** Great place for hanging out in a large group.

Came here to watch football on a Sunday at 1pm. Sat at the bar and was looking around on the tv’s to see if they were playing my game(Ravens vs Bengals). Asked a waitress behind the bar if they were playing it anywhere in the space and she turned around and walked away, me thinking she was going to come back with answer but instead just ignored me and never responded. Another waitress was finally going to serve us and I asked her if any tv’s were playing my game. She flat out responded with a «NO» to me and didn’t even offer to put it on, when they had multiple tv’s playing the same game and could have easily accommodated us. Rude girls behind the bar that could care less. We got up and left and they didn’t care if they lost our business. Go watch football elsewhere.

My friends and I love this place! After a hard week or day at work it’s a good atmosphere to relax yourself with some curly fries and a beer !

Awesome place in astoria! Trivia nights on Tuesday are fun and there are many pool tables as well. Ping pong is also fun and overall great vibes.

The only thing I’m not a fan of is that I never know who my server is. I sit down at one of the community tables, I flag down a waitress, put in my order, and then another girl comes over and tries to take my order. It makes me feel like an ass. Are there sections? Is it a free for all? I don’t know. I like the food, atmosphere, and beer.

Cool spot in Astoria, sleek and upscale and the burger was actually really good. Also not a trashy kinda crowd like you see at many Queens dives. Astoria is now my first place to hit up if I don’t hit the city.

Such a cool spot. I went around 11 pm on a Thursday and got a pool table with no problem! It is very spacious with ample room to perform your perfect pool shot. It is a unique space and I’m glad it exists. It was not too full when I was there and the waitress was very nice. Overall a great spot to spend a night!

Seems this place has been around and has a steady following. Only a few blocks off of the N/Q Broadway stop. You’ll find me here enjoying a game of pool or better yet, competitive ping pong! While I love my sports bars, don’t really see myself catching a game here. Service can be slow at times mainly because everyone is so spread-out; place is spacious though. Their draft selection is weak at best so if they were to improve on it, I may find myself here more frequently instead of infrequently. Peace and Ping Pong :)

Lets begin with how horrible the service is, we came at 8:30 and asked for a pool table. There was 5 tables empty and they didn’t give us a table. Once she gave out 1 of the tables i asked if she knew how long was the wait and she didn’t even know. I also asked how many people were ahead and she said 3, which meant the 4th table was ours and she still didn’t give out the table. It’s ridiculous how long they took(1 hr) and that they would be willing to lose money and customers. Beyond ridiculous. Whoever the manager is better do something about those horrible waitresses because that’s the reason why you’re losing money. This will be the last time we waste our time coming here.

This is the better version of «fat cat» I went to in manhattan Cleaner but smaller venue filled w/games and full bar Pool table gets pretty packed so come early or wait for an open table they also have arcade games, shuffleboard, jenga, ping pong and TVs here The only complain I would have is the lack of attention with the staff… I was more or less the only person at the bar trying to order but they’re just doing their own thing behind the bar. Everyone is either eating or already have a drink but I just kept waiting and waiting trying to gain the attention of the bartender. We made eye contact a few times but yea…

Horrible service and mediocre food. Good game selection aside from the obvious(ping pong, shuffleboard, jenga, connect 4, etc)

An hour of free pool with purchase of food or drink is a sweet deal! The food is really pretty good – and not expensive – but the selection is quite limited. They are family friendly at lunch, so in addition to us, there were 2 other families with kids. Unfortunately they don’t have cue sticks for kids, so if they are short, you will want to bring their own. The short end of the pool tables can feel a little close to each other. You do need to pause to make space for each other to take a shot. In addition they have a jumbo Connect 4, one table shuffle board, two ping pong tables($ 12 per hour), a foosball table and a few video game machines. It’s a great place to pass a weekend afternoon when the weather is cold and miserable.

Tonight was the first game of the season! Thursday night football! I work a very hectic job, M-F, usu 9−8PM but I wanted to try this place out in my new neighborhood! Came in, placed our food order and ordered drinks. Kep ordering drinks as we were kept waiting over an hour for our food. Had to ask the waitress who«expedited our order» by having the kitchen pay attention to our order 1H20M in after it was placed. Love the set up, lots of TV’s, everywhere for your watching convenience, but if I’m going to sacrifice going out on a work night, I would rather go somewhere else, to a place that won’t make me starve when I’m drinking and having to wake up early the next morning for work.

2.5 Stars! I came here on a Saturday night around 1030, and it was pretty crowded. We waited about 45 minutes for a table to open up. The good thing was the drink prices were pretty good, and they were playing the UFC fights. When we finally got a billard table there was no where to put our drinks or food because there was random patrons sitting by our table taking up seats and space. They weren’t even drinking or playing. That was kind of awkward, especially when my friend ordered food and had to eat with another guy litterly right in his face. Also the tables are a bit close together. We kept bumping into other people, and would have to take turns with the people next to us so we didn’t interfere with each other’s games. The service was good. We didn’t wait longer then 10 minutes for a drink, and when we requested to be moved she understood and moved us(I appreciated that).

Went here with some coworkers on a Thursday night. I’ve been here before but not as early as we went. We arrived around 730 and were told we had to wait for a pool table. That was fine. We sat down and played Jenga for a bit then the waitress who was very friendly asked for our order. after waiting half an hr we got a table. Now since we missed the special they had for pool I decided(being the Unilocaler I am) to check in. BEHOLD! I can receive a free HOUR of pool with a certain purchase. I didn’t even read the rest, I ran over to the girl and asked her if this is valid. It was! WOOOHHOOO ! We spent about ~$ 50 almost 60. for 5 of us on drinks and an order of fries. Drinks were strong but delicious! Anyway after that we went to plays some darts and basketball. We really had a fun time. Overall: Friendly, clean, fun place!

Four stars; five stars, Break Bar & Billiards is one great place to have an adult beverage and play pool. The facility is simply awesome. Neighborhood people, first dates, friends just chilling and having a great time. Break Bar & Billiards is huge; maybe 50 pool tables; 2 or 3 ping pong tables; small restaurant space with 20 or so tables; plenty of bar space; plenty of space to chill. While I did not play pool; I did enjoy a bucket of Coors Lite Beer for $ 10. Five beers, $ 10 very nice. Pool wise, I think they charge $ 12 per hour for two players. Very reasonable. They also seem to have a Happy Hour deal with free pool if you have adult beverages. Sign me up. Check their website, I think they have more deals at various times during the week. Had a chance to look at their menu and price points seem very reasonable. Burgers $ 7, but no fries. Basket of fries $ 4. Very pub oriented food menu. Nothing fancy, but who wants fancy at a pool hall. Give me beer and Break Bar & Billiards certainly has a large selection. This may be my new go to Happy Hour Bar. Specials, plenty of TVs, pool, fair price points for food and beer. Thanks Break Bar & Billiards; will see you soon.

I’m ethnically obliged to enjoy the game of billiards(or pool for you American people who desire to rename every sport to your liking… e.g. soccer as derived from fútbol). However, make no mistake, I am not obligated to enjoy a venue on the sole factor that you can play billiards there. No no no, this is the spot to play in Astoria… in Queens… heck might just be the spot in the five boroughs. We’re already spoiled with the free hour deal via Unilocal check-in, but play is free so long as you’re buying booze, food, and booze until 8:00(at least on Sundays). The dozens of TVs and tasty bar fare are just superfluous(in a necessary sort of way). Various specials on certain days are dependent on the hour, but rest assured, the deals are pretty baller(e.g. ½ off wings, $ 2 PBRs, $ 10 Coors Lite buckets, $ 3 shots…). Just be careful, booze does have the propensity to throw off your game, or at least makes you more susceptible to giving it up to persons with lesser skill than yourself(applies to the instant context as well as certain others…). At any rate, if you wanna jazz up your boozing sessions, or Sunday night football viewings, a visit to this place is certainly a prime candidate for accomplishing this.
