Was good when it was still around. It’s out of business now I’m not surprised. Prices were thought the roof.

I love frozen yogurt. I love the places like this one where you put in whatever amount you want in the cup and put on your own toppings, etc. So, I was really excited when I realized this place was in the neighborhood, as this is my go-to treat when I have a bad day, or a good day, or an in-between day, or whatever. I’ve been here maybe ten times, and I keep giving them chances, but today was the last straw. The other day they were out of any kind of chocolate syrup. Then, on a hot day, they did not run the AC and all the chocolate toppings melted into inedible blobs. Then another day they just didn’t have any fruit toppings at all for some reason. Then the ones they had looked gross, like they had pieces of other toppings mixed into them as if no one was paying any attention to what people had been doing at the toppings bar. Today was the last straw. I came in and there was a big group of maybe 3 adults and six small children, one or two of them toddlers. The kids were literally *climbing on the toppings bar* as the adults laughed it off, the kids were sticking their hands into the candy and fruit bins, one of them lifted up a scoop of chocolate chips and *threw it in the air* — chips flew all over the room — and no one said ANYTHING. Not one adult, not the guy behind the counter. No one. I couldn’t even get to the toppings because there was not one but TWO kids climbing on the counter with no one watching them, and they would not move even though I said«excuse me» numerous times(and they were old enough to know better). These kids and their parents were treating the place like their personal playground. Anyway… so I stand there, holding my yogurt, ready to pay, watching my yogurt melt as the adults try to wrangle all the kids’ cups and pay with their credit card that OFCOURSE does not work. I really wanted to just put down my cup and walk away. By the time I was finally able to pay, my yogurt was half melted and I was livid. The guy behind the counter was extremely negligent in not doing ANYTHING about these people’s awful, rude behavior and just couldn’t care less. When I finally got to buy mine, he handed me my change in a wad. Really? I guess he just couldn’t be bothered. Luckily, there is a new self-serve froyo place opening up on 29th St and Ditmars called Yogurt La Crêpe, so thankfully there will soon be an alternative to this place.

I’m not usually the one to complain so vehemently but I felt like i needed to. I had come here once before to try the yogurt and wasn’t pleased. I planned never to come back. My friends, however, were in the neighborhood and really wanted fro-yo. So we went. It appeared they had run out of a lot of things. They had no sample cups, half of the yogurts were not available and the toppings looked like they were sitting around for too long. The area around the toppings was also extremely dirty and seemed that no one had thought to clean it in a very long time. Eventually one manager(it seemed) was cleaning it up. The problem was, however, that he used his bare hands. No gloves, no napkins, nothing. Later on I saw the manager pick out something from one of the toppings containers with his bare hands. It was disgusting. The place is unkempt as a whole, very dirty and the quality of the froyo is subpar. I strongly recommend not coming here unless they start to clean up their act.

Very much like Red Mango… frozen yogurt and add toppings. The yogurt here has a more soft serve ice cream texture to it. I like it better. I like the yogurt flavored here much more. Their dulce de leche and vanilla were good. They have good variety of toppings. I love jelly belly jelly beans but it is definitely not a good idea to put in frozen yogurt. It gets hard.

This is probably the best-tasting yogurt I’ve had at any of the non-mega-chains, and is also better than most of those, too. There are just 8 flavors here, but all of the ones I tried were just so good. Which brings me to one of the best aspects of this place — the friendly owner guy not only gives you sample cups to eat as much as you please, but the sample cups he gives you are huge compared to the regular ones, and he also gives you 4 or 5 of them. No need to disgustingly reuse the same one over and over and over. Here you just need to reuse them a few times each. Back to the yogurt itself, it’s so incredibly creamy and sweet, to the point that you feel like you are in that Seinfeld episode where you will get fat if you keep on eating it. A good counter to this though is that in addition to the giant sized tub you can use for filling up your yogurt, they also have a really tiny size, which most chains don’t offer, most likely because it results in spending less. Not so much a lounge, as there are just a few seats near the front, this will be my go-to spot in this neighborhood for a delicious, satisfying, healthier(?) dessert.

Definitely not the greatest froyo I’ve ever had, but they are a classic DIY place that is much needed in the Astoria neighborhood. They usually have around 5 – 10 flavors pumps working. Usually they are your pretty standard flavors — vanilla, tart, cookies and cream. They had a pumpkin spice one in the spring which was super sweet. They do make a pretty good red velvet. I’m always impressed by their topping selection. Different types of fruits, chocolates, candy, boba, and other good stuff. And it is DIY so you can add as many as you’d like! The place smells a bit weird since they started serving soup too. But the froyo still tastes great.

I hate to do this, but my visit into 32 Froyo Lounge was a disgrace. I got off the train heading home and decided to stop in because I was craving a sweet snack. I LOVE frozen yogurt and was really looking forward to getting some! The moment I walked in I was hit with a whiff of something disgusting. It was the combination of a dirty public restroom, a homeless person, and a urinal. I was incredibly bothered, but decided to give the place a shot and walked over to the frozen yogurt machines, hoping I could stand the smell. All I could do was keep eyeing the ajar bathroom door. I completely lost my appetite and walked out. If a place keeps their restroom that disgusting, I don’t even want to think about what else they keep that filthy.

Even though it was cold out, we enjoyed the froyo more this time around. They had some different flavors. Original flavor was mediocre but red velvet, chocolate, and coconut were really good. They have a ton of toppings including small mochi pieces.

«I’m more of an ice cream girl.» — an unnamed female friend after my own heart I have HATED frozen yogurt since the day I first tried it, considering it the worst kind of impostor: a dessert that comes in the same containers as its far superior and more desirable counterpart. That’s how I first tasted it. It was accidentally purchased by a parent or grandparent and rather than return or throw our the errant creamy confection, it was passed off as ice cream and I was traumatized, saddened that this revolting custard found its way into unsuspecting homes all over Queens(my concept of «the world» was limited when I was 4, sorry). I have given several chances to «froyo»(I hate you all) since, and still… detested it. Red Mango, Pinkberry, everywhere else. Which brings me to 32 Froyo Lounge. What brought me to 32? My cousin, who is a froyo fiend and sugar addict — I have no such affinities, for my issues please refer to Rizzo’s Fine Pizza(Astoria , UES , or LES ) — was on break from work and I joined him, wallet-less. Like I said, I’m not into frozen yogurt or desserts that much in general. Cousin, however, refused to eat by himself and shoved an enormous cup in my hands. «Seriously?» I sighed. This happened every time he and I had frozen yogurt, where I would try my best to make something tasty and awe-inspiring and wind up eating the toppings and letting the yogurt melt into something even more disgusting than it already was. I’m not even into flavored froyo, usually. I got my hands on the chocolate and red velvet flavors, and call me naïve or call me hungry, it… wasn’t bad. It was so passable that I took small dollops of both flavors and heaped on an array of toppings, mostly fruits and a little bit of chocolate and called that lunch. Well done, Froyo Lounge. I approve, though your watching us while we tried samples was extremely disconcerting, considering we’re in our mid-twenties and probably not going to slobber all over your machines and reuse a single, tablespoon-sized paper thimble cup just to get a free(ordinarily gross) frozen not-so-much-of-a treat. Don’t bother with the raspberry dark chocolate truffles. Go instead for the actual raspberries and some chocolate chips.

I’m a weirdo when it comes to dessert, so take my review with a grain of salt. 32 Froyo Lounge seems to screw towards the sugary side.(Ok, I’m sounding stupid I know! I know they are sweet!) The frozen yogurt is slightly sweeter than other places and the toppings don’t offer much in the category of chopped fresh fruits, but aplenty in candies, nuts or crushed cookies. But that’s ok, 32 Froyo. You are right next to the subway station and you have the calories/ingredient labels right next to each of your yogurt flavors. I will still go to you for a quick fix.

The cookies and cream flavor was pretty good, with a solid cookie taste amidst the soft sweet icy yogurt. But the pistachio was a little bland, without a strong evidence of pistachio. The mango was okay too, but I liked Red Mango’s mango better. The fixings worked really well with the flavors we got, because the cookie crunch provided a sweeter and crunchier texture against the pistachio, while the kochi worked nicely with the mango to create an interesting chewy twang. Would definitely come back here again, maybe even apply for a membership card.

I bought a Living Social voucher and let it expire. I went in around 9:20 pm on a warmish spring Thursday evening. There were 2 employees working. It took quite awhile for the more senior employee to understand that even though my $ 10 voucher had expired, I was still entitled to $ 5 worth of product. I don’t eat gluten or corn. All but one flavor, vanilla, contained gluten and/or corn syrup. The toppings selection was good. I got some beautiful, ripe strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and mango. Those made up for the fact that my FroYo flavor was vanilla, which tasted alright on it’s own. The prices are in line with other FroYo spots in Astoria. The location, right under the Ditmars station, will keep this place in business. I dislike that it’s small with only 4 plastic chairs, but it’s very clean, so I’ll probably give them another try the next time I’m on that side of the ‘hood.

This place totally grew on me over the last few months. Despite its malfunctioning TVs, several flavors missing at a time, and no proper seating, I’ve become very fond of it. 32 Froyo Lounge sits right next to the Ditmars station, so it’s nice to know I can swing by whenever I want to indulge myself. You can get a froyo card for free and get 5% back each time. My boyfriend and I racked up $$ on my card, which is both exciting and scary(exciting because you save money, but scary to know how much you’ve spent on froyo…).

Yay! A froyo place on Ditmars! Happiness! I really like this place. It’s super small and seating is VERY limited(although they have some more seating options in warmer months. Nobody wants to sit outside in the winter anyway especially while eating frozen desserts). They have someone there to give you samples. They have exciting flavors. Their pumpkin flavor was delicious! And they have a lot of topping options. They also have a rewards card(free) which accumulates points and takes money off of your total every time you use it. LOVETHAT.

Happy that I finally have a frozen yogurt place by me! Though the toppings are great and well varied, the frozen yogurt flavors are not and they should try changing it up a bit, On a side note, it feels stingy when they give out samples and it’s literally like ¼ of a teaspoon. Come on! The majority of people coming in to taste are not going to take a sample and leave, we are going to end up purchasing! I don’t think it would change your profit drastically to give out a sample that is reasonable. It feels more hospitable and welcoming.

Ah the frozen yoghurt. Everybody’s «healthy» ice cream or at least what they want to believe. Taste– 8⁄10 This place has definitely a better consistency, flavor and selection then its close cousins in the froyo world. The flavors they provide are in a variety and actually taste similar to their counterparts. The toppings are many to choose from so you’ll find yourself having a great debate to ones self. Setting-6/10 What can i say its a froyo shop. It doesnt have alot of seating so its a take some and leave situation, but having the option would have been better. Price– 8⁄10 Its very affordable for froyo considering how you have the different varieties of flavors they offer. Service– 9⁄10 What can i say there was a man readily standing there to offer tastes for different flavors and he seemed inviting as i enveloped as much free samples as i could. Overall– I would suggest if your tired of your usual Mc Dee’s or Starbux or whatever usuals you go to that you try this place just for the hell of it. Its only going to be something you gain nothing to lose.

Kudos — It’s better than the chains like Red Mango. It’s in walking distance of my apt. One of the better topping selections. Items of concern — It’s a bit small and tight. Nothing particularly bad, it’s just I’ve had the best of the best(Mama’s and Vanilla sky). I’d put this place on par with 16 handles. The bottom line — Reluctant W.

The ice cream is good, but considering the place is so new, it feels a little grubby. The toppings taste good, not just cheapo nasty sauces. But with McDonalds just up the road, I’d rather have there Hot Fudge Sundae made for me, not by me. And for a third of the price. So… Yea… No! FYI the address here on Unilocal is incorrect, it’s Under Ditmars Station.

I went today as it is around the corner from where I get my massage. 32 Froyo Lounge has a Facebook page with updates. It is next to Rose and Joe’s and by the subway. It is down the street from Igloo. 32 Froyo Lounge is a chain that was started in a small town in TN and is family owned. Apparently self serve yogurt is a novelty in that small town but in Astoria Queens NY there are several that I have been to off the top of my head and I don’t even live anywhere near there. I just go to Astoria right now to get a necessary massage. I prefer Mama’s. But it is worth going back to. They have a frequent customer card where you get points towards free frozen yogurt. The flavors they had today were Pomegranate Raspberry — Bubble Gum– Cake Batter — Choc Yo’ Classic — Original Tart — Cookies and Cream. None of those flavors appealed to me at all. Except maybe the Pomegranate Raspberry. I can’t stand the flavor of bubble gum, too sweet, same goes for cake batter. Those are kids flavors really. The employees were really nice and the store front was open. They had a sign up saying that Con Ed reduced the power and they had to shut a few of the machines. Knowing how Con Ed operates it must be true. I assume in the south they don’t have to deal with that mess! I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the flavors once Con Ed decides to stop punishing Astoria. Con Ed rotates their punishment to different areas. I saw during the first black out of the season they reduced the most power to Staten Island. I think it is the Bronx turn now! I wish Con Ed would announce ahead of time where they are reducing power so we could make arrangements on where to be. It is very frustrating but I digress. The flavor I had was okay. Maybe when Con Ed stops punishing them and they have better flavors up I will return! One of the reviewers said it is very common as frozen yogurt goes. I agree!

A new addition to treats on an ever growing 31street Ditmars stop. Very common as far as Froyo places go. Pay by the ounce and fill your cup with any number of flavors and toppings. Mint flavor with crushed Andies mints along with classic tart with strawberry and fruity pebbles. Clean and friendly place. Limited seating, but the front is open area in the summer.
