One of our favorites and one of the longest established fine dining restaurants in Aspen! The quality and consistency of the food is exceptional. Make Cache Cache one of your dinner spots while in Aspen! Maury & Susan

Cannot miss this excellent restaurant for a scrumptious French-American fine dining in Aspen. I have been coming here since forever and the food, service and atmosphere has always been impeccable. Book in advance to get a table, you cannot miss this place!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Aspen! The décor is nice, the bar is very happening but sometimes the bar area is too crowded and it’s hard to get through… The food is excellent, I’ve never had bad food here, especially escargot! The best I’ve ever had in the US! One time one of my escargots didn’t have meat inside, and I told the server and he bought the new escargot, I was very happy. Also they have yummy caviar too, that’s why the name of the restaurant is Cashe Cashe Bring Cash:) Around the Christmas, theres a big pretty Christmas tree right outside, I think about this place all the time, I can’t wait to go back next week again during my another Aspen ski trip!

Bartender Jimmy: If you ask him if he would possibly plug your phone in for a few minutes(it was completely dead from just arriving from the airport), he says«that’s the least of my concern» and walks away. We finished our glass of wine and left, and it left enough of an impression on me that I wrote this the morning after returning from Aspen. After a day of travel and a missed connection — and a dead phone– I could’ve used the help or at least a polite«no.»

A standard go to when we hit up Aspen. Good bar scene that always has a good vibe. Great spot for a pre dinner drink. The dining room has a good, white table cloth ambiance. A few of our favorites are the frisée salad with duck egg, French onion soup, and the Osso Buco. The specials are typically outstanding as well.

This has to be the best restaurant in all of ski towns. Everything about Cache Cache is so good. From the greeting at the door, to every seat in the dining room, the service is always great and the food is fantastic. The Chef is always putting great specials on the menu. Great food, great ambiance, great service, what all restaurants should try and emulate!

Love this place. The food was amazing! I went here with 5 other people and everyone raved about their food. I ordered steak and it was one of the best steaks I’ve had– my husband thought so too. My friend ordered the chicken and I tried it — really good :) I was with a vegetarian and she ordered mac and cheese and loved it so much she ordered a second one. Also, the frisee salad s a MUST! The place was super busy — completely packed and service was excellent. Oh yeah my favorite part… the booze– great wine list! We ordered 2 bottles of Darioush– yum! LOVE!!!

Very large space with options to lounge, sit at the bar, and dine in. They stack you in the dining area like a can of sardines though. Just a warning, you can literally hear the person behind you chewing. Lol okay maybe not quite, but I like to exaggerate. Came here with a group of 6 for a birthday dinner and had the side noodle dish with the bass. Overall impressed and my favorite was the bottle of red blend — Andrew Will 2010 Cabernet. Don’t remember much of my evening, but I do recall enjoying the vibe, but it could of very well been the company I was with =)

Came here our first night in Aspen a day before New Years Eve and the place was jumping! Many stylish people by the bar and a bustling dinner crowd all made for a fun date night. Ambient lighting was great, and the décor was trendy but not too stuffy. Food was good. We shared various app’s, of which the lamb ragout pasta was a standout. I ordered the striped bass, which was flavorful. Negatives — Restaurant was very busy, so it a couple of reminders to get our bottle of wine. They slightly apologized, but made no concessions. I would give this place another chance… I figure they were just really busy leading up to the New Year.

A happening spot in Aspen. The bar area is warm and inviting and very ideal for a before dinner drink. I ordered the beet salad which was good but not a standout. For my main I got the salmon and barley which was healthy but the flavored were mild and not memorable. We had a standout desert in the warm crisp. In fact I would have ordered two of them if I could, a must! Overall, a good dining experience but the food isn’t a knockout.

Absolutely delicious! The duck confit was exquisite and the Colorado striped bass was unbelievable. The dynamic was also great! If you get a chance, GO!

Mixed review begins with some excellent appetizers, particularly the mussels. Others were only slightly above average. Entrees were not memorable, as none of us can recall what we had there less than one week after the fact. Service was very slow, with nearly an hour passing between receiving our appetizers and our entrees. Wine list generally had the highest markup I’ve ever seen anywhere, with some wines being priced at literally 5x retail.(We did find a Domaine Serene Cuvee at less than 2x retail, however – would have bought more, but our purchase was supposedly their«last bottle».) I doubt that we’d return, as we found several places we enjoyed more.

I am writing this review before getting my entrée, which is not very like me. The restaurant was recommended by a local(I think he hates me). The host was friendly and sat me by the bar as I requested. My nightmare begun with the bartender. He minimized all conversation to the minimum, which I found a little snobby but tolerable, as I am not a big talker myself. When I asked if I can have a small plate, he POINTED to the plate by me with an annoyed face, and that was the last straw on a camel’s back. The appetizer«mac and cheese» also sucked(too greasy and not enough cheese). I started reading other Unilocalers’ review and realized that I’m not the only one complaining about their attitude. Ok, next time I will consult with my fellow Unilocalers before anyone! Oh! The fish dish I ordered also lacked taste.

This was recommended to us by a local. So glad we took Jeff’s advise. We sat in the bar area. Fallon our server was very helpful and attentive. She suggested several items and we were not disappointed. Our drinks«Svenska Cup» hands down the best drink in quite a while. We ordered several appetizers. A bowl of French onion soup, Lump Crab beignets with their Firecracker sauce and Alaskan King Crab with cantaloupe, avocado, cilantro with a lemon brown butter vinaigrette. All three where simply delicious. As if this wasn’t enough we ordered a Fruit Crisp a la-mode. The peaches and the topping were amazing. Our server Fallon, bartenders and wait staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Would make this place a must.

World’s worst mojito, with an attitude. This review applies only to the bar. How to make a mojito, a la Cache Cache: fill a large glass with ice. Add several mint leaves and make a half-hearted but futile attempt to crush the leaves against the ice. Add a very small amount of simple syrup and a small amount of rum. Top off with soda. Don’t bother to stir. Couple this with an attitude as well, to wit, tossing the check folder onto the bar from several feet away; Papa Hemingway would have punched his lights out.

Excuse me, pardon me, excuse me. Squeeze, squish, hello, your food looks good. Nice conversation, hello, squeeze, squish, wiggle. If you sit outside, you’ll hear a lot of this. The outdoor courtyard is strategically designed to fit the absolute maximum number of chairs and tables possible for a space of this size. Add in some heat lamps, waitstaff, and people getting in and out… yeah, it’s still tight. Despite this fact, this is prime seating and I would trade a little personal bubble zone space for a chance to sit out here and have dinner for a few hours. Note: the ground is bricks, bricks move over time, chairs may or may not(emphasis on may) range from slightly to overtly wiggly. We had a large party and sat smack in the middle of the outdoor space. We all enjoyed our time here, but I was told by the person that made the reservation that there was a $ 100 per person no-show or late cancellation charge. So if we got held up and couldn’t make it… it would have cost $ 900? I don’t know if that is true or not, but I would definitely check on that. The food we all ate was excellent. The glasses of wine were a little pricy — $ 20+ for what we chose, and we could have gone even more overboard than that. The bread /oil dipping situation was excellent — we got several rounds of that before any food came. Apps — I had a ceasar salad, which was good, but I recommend getting the dressing on the side as it comes on pretty heavy. The most popular thing(for all tables) was likely the escargot, which seemed to come out in droves. A few people are our table had it and loved it. The ordering was a mixture of fish and meat, emphasis on the veal shank. I ordered fish(which was good) but the veal was absolutely delicious. If it is still on the menu when you are here — go for it. Seating inside is much more elegant, but when in Aspen, wiggly or not, why not sit outside?

This is one of the more lively restaurants in Aspen and we have wonderful dinner here last weekend. It was a warm evening so we sat outside in the courtyard. We started with the vegetable crudite and the sommelier helped us pick out an excellent rose and it was perfect with the seasonal veggies that they pulled from their farm. The tomatoes were so sweet they tasted like candy! Next we had the steak tartar with grilled bread. You could really tell that they were using the best possible steak. For our entrees we shared the chicken and the Colorado lamb. The dishes were both very good but they were both a bit overcooked. That didn’t stop us from devouring them. The chicken came with pommes frites and the lamb came with the creamiest au gratin potatoes. Overall a great dining experience in Aspen. Reserve in advance!
