Thank you Janice (owner) for squeezing me in as you were preparing to close! Very happy with my unruly hairs after Kristen worked her magic on giving me exactly the cut I’ve been seeking. Today’s return for a color went just as well! Thank you and I’m looking forward to my next appt!

I have been going to Salon Illusions for many years! Janice is the new owner and has been my hair stylist for 20 years.
The salon staff is friendly and professional. The salon is beautifully decorated and comfortable. They make you feel welcome.
On my most recent visit this week I was given a complimentary hand paraffin treatment. Perfect for this time of year.
Janice cuts my husband’s hair too and she does an amazing job! Book your haircut today – you will be very impressed.

They gave me a complimentary hand-​wax while they washed my hair. Great products used, and my hair looks and smells great… Lisa Keating styled my hair today for the Thanksgiving holiday. Next time I will see her for color. I highly recommend her…

I just had my hair cut and styled by Lisa and it was a great experience, she did a beautiful job and it was all in all a very pleasant experience (I even received a complimentary paraffin treatment on my hands)! I have been looking for a salon and town and I will definitely be back. I thought the prices were very reasonable and service was great.

David and Pam could not be more welcoming, friendly or willing to do my hair as a walk-​in appointment. However, being a young college grad, money can be tight. I didn’t provide a budget, and before I knew it they were adding multiple treatments and colors for a total of over $ 250, when I was expecting to pay around $ 100. I do like my hair, but it’s not as natural as I would’ve preferred. The color streaks are rather pronounced. The two of them worked as a powerhouse, but the whole process still took almost three hrs. I wouldn’t recommend this for young people with tight finances.

The owner, Pam, has been doing my hair for years. She’s an excellent colorist and stylist. I have thin, fine hair, and Pam knows how to cut it to pump up the volume.
The salon has recently been done over in calm tones of light blue and gray. Excellent.

Jeannine is one of the most gifted hair stylists I’ve ever been to. I have actually traveled miles and miles to get my hair done by her– now that the salon does curly cuts it’s even better. She is the only person that I leave happy immediately not waiting for my hair to grow out or try to style it myself. Besides her awesome skills her personality is the best– makes you feel at home and listens to what you want– rare quality– what a hidden treasure!

When I finally decided I needed to think about coloring my hair, I started looking for a salon that offers organic color close to home (or work). A promotional postcard from Salon Illusions brought me in the door and their great staff immediately made me feel at home and comfortable. I’ve never spent money on my hair before and never been to a real «salon». Janine gave me a free consultation and helped me select a completely new look and then, when I got up the nerve to actually do it she worked real magic. I couldn’t be happier and can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Friendly place with a good atmosphere, Pam knows EXACTLY what she is doing and really good at styling hair. As I was getting my hair cut, I watched the staff always greet their customers and was very knowledgable about products and recommended colors for hair. All and all I was very pleased!

I didn’t even make it past the receptionist, who I believe was actually the owner. I was a walk-​in just asking if there were any available stylists. Instead of getting a simple no, I was hit with attitude and a «how dare you ask’ response. I just moved to Ashland, so I’m very disappointed that this is what Ashland has to offer. Hope it’s not indicative of the other establishments around.

Salon illusions is a hidden gem. Jeannine is awesome, professional and down to earth. I have curtly hair and I walked in looking like a cave woman and walked out looking like a 2013 chick wow!!! I found my new salon… the staff are all soo sweet and welcoming and treated me like a friend not a number. Thank you Salon illusion you rock.

Went to salon illusions for my sister’s wedding. Janine is awesome, she did my and my sister’s hairstyles and they both came out great! She was accommodating to what we wanted, she’s good at what she does, and fun too! We had the whole shop to ourselves for the morning, which was very nice, there were 6 bridesmaids and the two mothers. Wasn’t super happy with the make-​up, but overall very good experience.

Salon Illusions is a great salon with fabulous prices! They’re color geniuses! Pam has done wonders for my hair color! I get comments on it every time, it looks so natural. My cut is always perfect! I’m never going anywhere else! The atmosphere is clean, comfortable and friendly.

Salon Illusion Owns The Magic Touch~
This shop is the *greatest.* Its friendly, neighborhood vibe made me feel immediately comfortable. I went in for color corrections and summer highlights. I had made the colossal mistake of going elsewhere first and walked around like «Strawberry Shortcake» for a week.
I knew I would be in good hands, since I called the day of the Brassaster/​scalp-​burning experience and had the good fortune of speaking with Pam, who assured me that Jeannine would fix everything. She spent at least ½ hour on the phone with me that day. She was quite concerned, which I appreciated beyond measure. Thank you, Pam, for being so kind and calming.
So, what awaits me at this charming salon but coffee and banana bread?! These gracious, seemingly small touches add to an overall picture of perfection.
The shop showcases a unique array of jewelry, pottery and paintings from a talented local artisan, the proceeds of which go to help women in underdeveloped nations. That’s the kind of place we’re talking about. Adding to the ambiance was an eclectic mix of lovely women chatting, looking at fantastic art work, trying on different pieces, sharing feedback and suggestions.
Jeannine got the skinny and went to work straight away. I know she had a difficult (!) job before her; I appreciated her spending so much time, care, and attention to ensure the color was just right. She’s professional and fun, which is a difficult balance.
She has an expert touch. I love my hair! It’s exactly what I wanted. It was fun to try out the new-​fangled toys, too! She did a stellar job. I couldn’t be happier with my transformation. She spent the entire day (until close) ensuring every strand looked perfectly sun-​kissed. I feel so much better about myself. She made an unbelievable difference.
Pam and Jeannine, you are my dynamic duo of hair bliss. Thanks, girls, for turning this disaster into radiance!

I found this little salon via Unilocal and I am in love. I moved here from SC a little over a year ago and have been struggling to find someone until I met Jeanine. The entire staff is super nice and friendly as well. My color was perfect and the cut was exactly what I asked for. I just made my second appointment. You won’t be sorry!

Ok. So I’m a guy and not a salon aficionado so I may not be qualified to rate 5 stars. But I do have a mild to moderate sense of style, which I usually delegate to others. ;-) Even though I don’t really know exactly what I want to do with my hair at any given point in time, I am unreasonably picky about the results, especially considering my lack of communication as to what it is I want! I have gone to Jeannine here at Salon Illusions and she makes it happen. She has a sense of what fits my personality and my lifestyle and I feel comfortable sitting back and just saying «just do what you do!» In the past, I’ve gone to stylists in Boston, Nashville and elsewhere that could appropriately style my hair for my line of work at the time and Jeannine meets or exceeds anything that stylists from high end salons ever did. My wife and I have both employed their services a number of times now as well as my now 6 year old son. Hair cuts and color have always come out well.
The salon is crisp and clean and located just off Main St in Ashland. A nice little gem for this town for sure. There are a couple of private parking spaces directly in front of the storefront and plenty of on stree parking. Everyone is very friendly, unpretentious and easy to get along with. Even meeting some of the staff for the first time this last trip, it is like hanging out with extended family. I like that. Men and women will feel comfortable in this salon environment and I’m sure results will be more than satisfactory.
