We went here for the first time tonight. The food was yummy, and the margarita was excellent!

Delicious tacos, friendly staff and fast service. I stopped by here for a quick lunch during work one day because I’m always looking for a good Mexican spot. The food was great, came out quickly and was a great price! I’ll be back!

They consistently go downhill every year.

Worst guacamole ever… I had their guacamole before and there was chunks of avocado– cilantro and tomato. Looks like they puréed it all and it taste horrible! I specifically ask the cashier taking my order that I wanted fresh gaucamole but he said they stopped making it and only made one kind of gaucamole, once daily. I called back after I got home and sampled it. The cashier (a different guy this time) then said «oh he gave you the other gaucamole, you wanted the fresh one and he gave you the one we make daily». He then asked if I would like to drive back– NO THANK You! I asked for tacos with cilantro and onions and the cashier then gave me pico de gallo– not the same thing.

Worst Mexican food we’ve ever had… and we’ve tried it from all over the US. Greasy taquitos, nasty tasting tamale, bland salsa, sauceless carnitas, average rice n beans. This is NOT what decent mexican food tastes like.

We stopped in to try out a new Mexican place and was I surprised! They have great steak here! I had the Steak Mi Jalisco (steak w/​cheese and shrimp similar to Steak Lalo at Lalo’s Cocina) and it was a generous cut of steak and about a dozen smell/​med size shrimp which seemed quite fresh. I’d say the portion was about double what you get at Lalo for the same money and it’s a tad better flavorwise I’d say. The rest is std Mexican fare but still very tasty. Decent Margaritas as well.
We’ll be back for certain!

Its a quick stop off of i-​95 for a local Mom and Pop restaurant with great food and really great service.

I visit here often and the service is great! They are always so kind and prompt. I never had to ask for anything and the food is good too. You get what you pay for!

This is a fun neighborhood Mexican restaurant. The service we had was good. We had a large group that was easily accommodated even though the restaurant wasn’t huge. The waiter frequently came back to take our order until we were ready. I ordered a crab taco and margarita.
Overall, great small local Mexican fare and ambiance. Looking forward to visiting again.

Mi Jalisco is the go to restaurant for my family. The food is always tasty, hot and served quickly. The staff has been together for several years (a rarity in the restaurant industry) and are always helping each other to make sure their guests are taken care of quickly.

Great Mexican place! Food is always good. Nice flavors and big menu to choose from. Staff is friendly. Service is quick. Prices are good. Definitely my go to place for good mexican food. There is a patio in the front — if you don’t mind the parking lot view. I would recommend.

Solid little Mexican place. It can get very busy with the huge subdivision next door.

I love Mi Jalisco. The servers are kind, friendly, and familiar and the service never disappoints. It’s the best place to get Mexican in Mechanicsville. They’ve developed quite a fan base with their Taco Tuesdays! ($ 1 tacos all night!) Don’t forget to try the white sauce; it’s actually the best I’ve ever had.

I love hole in the wall places where the food is good and you’re in and out in a short amount of time. Taco Tuesday is packed with local kids but any other day you go it’s a great atmosphere that is very enjoyable to eat in.

Mi Jalisco is one of my favorite restaurants. The steak Ranchero is my favorite, it is a big hunk of steak with their homemade Ranchero sauce on it. I would rate them a five if they kept the old salsa recipe they had, but it won’t keep me from enjoying taco Friday (99¢ tacos).

I think Mi Jalisco is a little above average in regards to the other Mexican Restaurants I’ve been to around Richmond. I’m personally a fan of Jalisco Region type flavors and style, so I definitely prefer this to almost any other true Mexican restaurant in town.
The staff is friendly and quick and the prices are very reasonable. Tuesday night is .99 cent taco night, so you can definitely get your fill for a couple tacos and a side for under $ 10 for two people and you can almost always find a coupon either on their website or in a local coupon mailer/​magazine.
I’m a big fan of their Enchiladas Jalisco or the Arroz con Pollo, but have really enjoyed everything I’ve gotten there. It’s convenient, cheap, and better than the Casa Grandes, Mexico’s, and Plaza Azteca’s out there.

Our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Food is tasty, service is speedy, and the staff always friendly and attentive. They just began to make guacamole at the table… it’s wonderful.

Basic Mexican fare. the service is always quick, and I don’t live very far from here so this is my go-​to Mexican restaurant for some quick dinner. The salsa they provide is fresh and tasty. I generally get the fajita burritos, I love the cheese they top it with, and with a side of guac I am one happy customer.

Good Mexican food but pretty much like any other Mexican restaurant out there today. Waitstaff was fast and friendly. I would definitely go back.

Not too bad, or great. Went for the lunch special for $ 7.50 and had to spent $ 5 more to leave without hunger. Food was tasty however.
