Bard’s Inn Motel & Restaurant

Family friendly and nice size rooms, at least in Somerset Bard’s 3. The room we had was great if you have kids who tend to run and play because we were above the car port; no one could complain of jumping and laughing. Good breakfast each morning and great walking distance to Downtown Ashland.

This place is the worst! Oh it’s clean and quiet like most Best Westerns, but the rooms are very small. We have a king sized bed in an studio sized space on the 2^nd floor, no elevator. There’s no closet, only an ardmore which is only in the way. When my wife uses the ironing board, there’s no room to move around at all. The vanity is so small they put their year, coffee maker, ice bucket, etc. UNDER the sink! In addition, the a/​c-​heat is one of those window installed units that cycle on/​off all through the night, very noisy. They also have limited parking with 28 spaces for 38 rooms. We ended up parking on the street last night which requires going up one of the two steeps ramps to the parking/​room area.
