We love odds! It’s right next door to our favorite hostel where we stay every time we are in Asheville. Their deserts never disappoint, the smoothies are delicious and healthy, and their specialty coffees are fun and tasty. They also have a really great herbal and medicinal tea selection. Love it!

As a self-employed writer, the world is my office. I’m constantly creeping for new spots to soak up free wifi and drink ALLTHESOYLATTES. And Odd’s Café is a new fave in WAVL, my neighborhood du jour. For all my fellow worker bee vagabonds, Odd’s is airy, comfortable, and full of friendly folks. I’m a fan of the window seats, where I can spy on squirrely antics in the adjacent trees. I’m also kind of obsessed with the shop’s tagline«a little different, just like you.» Oddballs unite! I recommend ordering the Aztec mocha(a sweet-and-spicy delight), a vegan muffin(they had banana nut when I was there) and get to people watching, West Asheville style. (My only complaint? More vegan baked goods would be nice.)

Love this place. Lots of great gluten free options and the coffee beverages are actually hot(as opposed to the lukewarm temperature they are everywhere else) and creative and delicious. Oh and the service is fast and really friendly!

Odd’s café is my go-to spot for doing computer work and meeting up with friends or clients. I love this place for it’s relaxed feel, I think it is nice to get away from the downtown Asheville. It can get busy, but it is never as busy as your typical downtown café(at least when I go). It is also spacious, with a nice back porch area that is especially wonderful in the summer! Odd’s carries Counter Culture coffee, yum, and makes a range of yummy espresso-based drinks. They try to make what they can ingredient wise. For example, when they had pumpkin pie lattes last fall the base was homemade and contained pumpkin. Real punkin, guys! It was delicious. They also have many homemade goodies to try. My personal favorite is the almond cake. To top it off, you can run on over to Pour right beside of it after having your upper, get your downers on, amirite? Support local, y’all.

I accidentally dropped the door on the girl walking in behind me and she actually turned out to be the girl taking my order at the register. So I was pumped she didn’t like get mad at me about that. She kindly took my order and didn’t seem to hold it against me at all. Also I was glad too because they take American Express here and that was super convenient for me as well as I’ve run into some places that don’t. I got a simple cup of light roast drip coffee. It was perfect, easy to Doctor up at a big condiment station. I got a great spot next to the big window right on the street. Great selection of pastries and other drinks as well. My friend got an iced coffee and he enjoyed his as well.

A nice enough space to meet or work with free wifi and sometimes pretty pleasant live music but the lackluster coffee and frequently dismissive, inattentive, somewhat rude staff leave me wondering what the longterm plan is. Once Izzys is up and running I’d be concerned for staying power at odds, given the service there will come with smirk but at least it will be efficient and the coffee will be good.

This is a cute little coffee shop we stumbled upon while waiting for brunch at Sunny Café(10 minute walk down the road). They have lots of options including lattes, teas, smoothies and hot chocolate. The prices are like you typical coffee shop(comparable to Starbucks), but odd café get a step up because it’s local and I’m a sucker for non chain spots. I opted for the honey cin latte. It tasted just like a graham cracker! It wasn’t sweet either, which I loved. I hate when my coffee taste like a jar of sugar. They also had a pretty good selection of muffins and pastries. But what really caught my eye was the peanut butter bacon cheesecake. I’m still kicking myself for not trying it!

My feelings towards Odd’s café are kinda confusing. As for the space, the art, and the vibe, Odd’s is my favorite coffee shop in town without question. I love the tall ceilings, the big open windows with great air flow, the tables, the giant dinosaur painting and the treats. Unfortunately as far as coffee drinks go, they are probably my least favorite in town. Their chai is greatly lacking in flavor, and anytime I’ve ordered a latte or any other drink I am disappointed. I suggest sticking to a good old coffee or tea. Regardless it is a great space to go alone and get work done peacefully or to read but is also a good choice for coffee and a chat with a buddy.

First time here and I definitely love the vibe! Pleasant lady at the check out, and the ginger honey tea is pretty great(a little too sweet for my liking, though). For $ 2.50 I get two stews and I am a happy camper. Its a lovely May day in West Asheville as I sit next to the huge open window watching the city people and writing Unilocal reviews ;)

This is a real neighborhood gem. The comfy seating, great outside deck and quality coffee make this a great place in my book. The bagels are spectacular and as a New Yorker I have a keen eye for bagel quality lol. They are baked nice and dark and even imported from a bakery in NYC. Try the ice brewed coffee and then espresso if you get into that. They also have a loose tea selection that is awesome.

They have the best chewy bagels in town. I’ve been reluctant to share this; I’m worried they will sell out before I get there. They have lots of other options too, like croissants, quiche, breads and cakes too. I’ve also tried their muffins, banana crunch and zucchini currant. They were very moist and full of flavor. I also love their coffee. The cappuccino always has nice dry foam. They are always friendly and attentive there too.

Great coffee selection that rotates every week(Counter Culture), and a large variety of exceptional teas to choose from(try the lemon ginger). In-house hummus is delicious. Best place to go to get some work done/have a meeting in trendy west AVL.(When the weather is nice, the open doors allow for a refreshing breeze while you work!)

The aroma of this place alone will keep you coming back! Dark roast wafting with vanilla and caramel. If you bottle it, I will drink it or wear it on my pulse points! Odd’s goes beyond the usual sweet bites. Just look at that case with all the mocha cakes and lemon bars. Bell jars filled with muffins and brownies. Watch out for the T-Rex drinking coffee– oh wait, it’s only a mural — I want one in my bedroom now. Snappy, happy servers pull me a wonderful cortado = rich and smoky with no bitterness! Spot on! Pow, I think I can ditch my car and walk home now! Light bright space with great local art on the walls! If I didn’t have places to go, I’d love to sit a while… close my eyes and keep inhaling! Snifffff, ahhh!

Odd’s is my favorite café in west Asheville. The lighting is plentiful and always comfortable, and there is a large variety of seating. When the weather’s nice, they open their huge front window, and I love that. Their mocha latte is consistently delicious, and their pastries are tasty, too. I highly recommend the gluten-free pumpkin chocolate chip muffin(I don’t care at all about something being gluten-free, but this muffin is perfect). All employees are so friendly, and the café seems to always attract pleasant customers, too. Their chai latte is gross, but I can get past that, and so can you.

Odd’s is a cute little spot over in West Asheville with plenty of seating, cozy seating, tons of tea, a variety of coffee beverages, and an obviously welcoming atmosphere for those who are laptop-toting nomads(like myself). We came in on a weekday afternoon and the place was almost completely full. Since the day has been peppered with lots and lots of coffee from all over AVL, I decided to settle for a hot chocolate. Served in a mug and adorned lovingly with a dollop of whipped cream. It’s so rare for my to order something like this so it was a real treat. Absolutely delicious, not too hot(channeling my inner 4-year-old self) and just the right amount. I was rather happy to have this mug on such a blustery day. I think the sweet spot to score is in the back corner. Cozy chairs and plenty of plugs for your litany of devices. We were nice and comfortable throughout our conversation back there. Great spot for the collection of Asheville coffee shops. I’m looking forward to a return visit.

Odds Café is a much needed coffee shop in busy West Asheville. Located next to Asheville Sandwich Company, Odds offers later then usual hours and delicious treats as well as well made coffee drinks. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for the working person. If you happen to go in on a day that they have salted caramel cake — get it, you won’t regret it!

Does the world need an alternative to Starbucks? Yes. Does the world need another coffee shop filled with hemp-wearing hipsters leading sad, ironic lives sipping coffee, nibbling pumpkin tarts while occupying wooden spool tables, spending most of their day clogging up the free wi-fi tweeting non-sequiturs and iMessaging the health benefits of smoking hash oil in a vape pen? Um, no. Truth is, Odd’s Café is a «cute» place-that is, «cute» meaning quaint for its tiny, yet airy space, sparsely decorated; Not«cute» as in a pink-ice-cream-with-heart-sprinkles-fluffy-teacup-schmoodle-puppy-dog type of way. you will find on a street lined with similar coffee shops and cafes. The coffee: Decent, if not a bit charred. The tarts and other menu items: Perfectly delicious with a variety of seemingly healthy and not so healthy ingredients. Vegan options? Apparently. Gluten-free? Yep. But only a handful of items to cater to the microcosm of lunatics who wrongly believe gluten is more terrible than it actually is. The staff: a bit flaky. Took them 15 minutes to make a simple café au lait. The cruel reality, however, is that there’s nothing that unique, nothing that special, nothing that tasty to come here more than once except for the fact that Odd’s is not as crowded as the other two places just up the street. My recommendation overall? Worth the trip if you’re in the ‘hood(particularly if you’re a grungy, hairy-arm-pitted European backpacker with cat tattoos emblazoned on your neck who is staying at the nearby hostel).

Really cute place. They have very friendly staff and reasonable prices. The caprese muffin, blackberry muffin, ice tea and iced coffee are excellent! They have a good amount of seating, with a decent amount cushiony areas; a patio with seating as well. They also have two garage doors that are always open, making for an awesome breeze, even on hot days! The only downfall is their lack of outlets!
