Absolutely amazing. Delicious lunch for both vegetarians and meat eaters! I wish we had one of these in the town where I live.

Just out and about enjoying what downtown Asheville has to offer and stumbled upon this cool neighborhood hipster gem. There were at least four other restaurants that we passed(and read reviews on and checked out the menu) before we settled here and am happy to say that this place brought me a good time. I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into when we walked in but there was a sofa by the front door, a bookcase with games and books of course, a small area with children’s toys, beautiful artwork that could be purchased throughout the restaurant, a bar area in the back with a tv and a stage for all the musical people to perform, and just an overall come in and relax for a second feel. The chef actually came out to greet us and offered his suggestions(I always appreciate that and maybe he just knew we weren’t from around these parts) and told us exactly how the whole thing worked(like order and pay here, and go grab a drink if you want, sit down wherever, and we will bring all your food to you). While waiting on our food, he brought us a sampling of some collard stew he made which was delish(collards, apples, sausage, and the broth that came from all that mixed together just warmed my spirit) and I thought that was really nice of him because not everyone is just going to give free food no matter how small or big. Stuck to being a complete fat kid the last day of 2015 and ordered the mojo Mac-n-cheese which was realllly hot(temp wise) and gooood and filled with black beans, some kind of gooey cheese, and I’m pretty sure there was some meat but I can’t remember. Also had some chili cheese fries… yep…another great choice. Full of happiness when I left and appreciated the band playing in the background too. Check this place out if you’re around!

Easily my most favorite place to eat in Asheville! Nachos, wings and tacos are among the favorites. And the Sunday brunch and Bloody Mary bar is amazing! Staff is always friendly, helpful and on top of it.

This is one of my go-to casual places to eat in Asheville. Their menu is excellent-tons of choices for meat eaters and vegetarians. The food is always delicious, from plantain egg rolls, wings, smoked chicken, burgers and more. All with a modern, Asheville flair. Super casual, fun ambience too.

Great food, beer, and location. Stopped in for luck with a large group with kids in tow. The owner/chef was very welcoming and made us feel welcome. The front area has kids games to keep little ones occupied. The Beef tacos with ninja Porter were my favorite.

This place was awesome. The food was unbelievable great. Presentation was extremely professional and the flavors was pleasing to the tummy. To have food this good downstairs of the Music Hall was a great surprise and more that compliments the establishment. I am not a vegan but despite the comment left by the another customer, sounds like she was having a bad day. Oh well, next time in Ashville it will be my return visit to try more of the menu. Keep up the quality and service, Ashville needs more restaurants like this. Mojo was a great experience, thank you!!!

Eat local with a NOLA flair! Friendly service and scrumptious food with just enough Cajun kick. Fresh daily specials, home made soups & desserts to top it off! Great place for lunch for the whole family. Surprisingly kid friendly.

We were in from out of town and decided on Mojo’s after looking at 10 restaurants’ lunch menus which we deemed not big enough. We sat down and couldn’t decided because the menu was huge and everything looked so good! Finally we were all able to find something we enjoyed. Waitress/hostess/owner(?) was fabulous at making recommendations and was very friendly. A friend ordered the roasted veggie salad and wasn’t crazy about the warm lettuce and the woman gave her a voucher for a free taco for because she could tell she didn’t love it. I ordered the fried green tomato BLT with sweet potato fries and loved it! A friend got the margherita Mac n cheese and it was fantastic. Cute, colorful, fun place that I can’t wait to go back to. Hopefully next time for a show!

Worst experience I’ve had since moving to Asheville. I’ve never rated anything less than five stars because I’ve never been so disappointed that I felt the need to write a bad review. That changed today. As a vegan I’m always really excited to try new restaurants that advertise as vegan. The people that work here are satan. I will admit the food came out very quickly and was delicious but it was hardly worth the awkward experience. There was a young girl with dark hair that was very sweet but she was the only employee with kindergarten manners. First off I ordered something that couldn’t be made vegan, my mistake. The girl who took the order didn’t know it couldn’t be made vegan either so she went ahead and accepted payment. When the order went back I could immediately hear the kitchen staff and what I would assume to be a manager hooting and hollering about it, loud enough to where everyone in the restaurant could here making me feel singled out and very uncomfortable. The«manager» then proceeded to thoroughly scold the young lady in sight and earshot of everyone in the establishment. The young lady suggested I change my order to the Kale option to which I replied«Yeah, that’s fine.» As I am not hard to please. Aside from enjoying my meal the remainder of my stay was spent continually hear the«manager» make short snarky comments and go on and on about vegans. I won’t be returning.

We were heading to The Med which is great choice for lunch when we decided to look at the Mojo menu and try it out. I had the Plantain Bowl which was fantastic. Just perfect! He had the wings and he loved them. Slow service for a place in AVL on a slow Saturday but worth the wait. Wish they would NOT burn incense though in the back room. PHEW! I already want the Plaintain bowl again!

It’s good. Damn fine bar/comfort food. My better half and I had the nachos to start and man, they were delicious. Black beans and pineapple salsa. What a great flavor. Next we had some fried green tomatoes… The best I’ve had in Asheville? Quite possibly. My burger was cooked to the temp I wanted it. A rarity lately in this town and it tasted great. My girl loved her salad. Plenty of veggie and vegan options, great location. Check it out y’all.

I had been here(when it was One Stop) for a show once, but never to eat. Noticed the name change and the Brunch offering recently so decided to check it out this past Sunday. If you are looking for fancy, this isn’t it. But it is laid back and unique for sure. The back room, where the Bluegrass band was playing, is all bar and dark. Not uncomfortable, but might be for some people. However they have a few seat as you come in that are in the light if the dark is uncomfortable. We had no problem being in the back and my two girls(3&13 months) loved listening to the music while we waited for our order. The girls and I shared the Silver dollar plantain pancake stack. YUM! Everything was great! Fruit was fresh and the pancakes were inhaled. Hubby had the Huevos Ranchero and said, «it was alright.» We ordered drink from the bar– Mimosa and a Painkiller– good drinks, good bar service. Over-all a good time. The one issue we had, was the server. It may have been super busy before we showed up and she may have been tired, but she was rude. In my previous life I was a server so I am usually not one to complain, every interaction with this woman was uncomfortable. Enough that if we come back and see that she is the one who will be waiting on us, we will go elsewhere.

This is a hidden gem in downtown Asheville. My husband and I stumbled upon this when trying to find a quick bite before a play, and we were really impressed with the quality, creativity and most importantly, taste, of the food. The beet root-rhubarb soup with cardamom cream was fantastic. The folks running Mojo Kitchen were super nice and made a point to follow up and make sure we were happy with our meal. Prices are very reasonable. We will be back!
