Mark Bettis Studio & Gallery

Absolutely incredibly artist! A mixture of oil, oil stick, cold wax and various mixed medias portraying «spirit» animals, textured and abstract works, most painted on wood paneling (some on paper). Mark Bettis is an inspiring artist with an inviting and warm studio. The space is larger then some but also lain out in a way that makes guests feel the room and space around them. There is so much passion behind the pieces in this studio, some screaming with color and others with colors so quiet, the meaning might be lost without a second look. The studio is located in The Wedge building but is a stand alone gallery. You will usually find artists working in the back, right hand corner of the shop. And if you’re really looking for some inspiration, Mark does CLASSES and workshops! Oh, if I lived closer! Mark Bettis Studio & Gallery should definitely be on your list of MUST stop galleries in the River Arts District.
