Great spot, perfect to stop for coffee. Bohemian feel. The chai herbs are really fresh. They have soy milk options. The brownie is good. Con: CASHONLY!

Very cool ambiance! Loved how it’s right on the corner and you go inside the bus to order your drink! A few of us went here and we all ordered something different and were very satisfied. The only downside was the drinks were just warm and not hot. and unfortunately we were looking for a nice hot drink since it was a pretty cold day. We got the hot chocolate, a cremes Brule coffee and another coffee that had white chocolate and a few other things !

What a cute and romantic spot to enjoy a coffee or a millkshake! My husband and I came here on a visit to Asheville to escape the rain. I got a chai milshake and I cannot recall what he got. It was really good, exactly what I was hoping for. It would be great if this place offered more pastries! I know there isn’t much space in here, no less room for cooking more pastries, but a display of cakes, scones, pies, etc would be so lovely!

It was such a surprise to see a coffee shop inside of a double-decker bus, but it fits right in with quirky Asheville. We decided to skip dessert at the restaurant and try it here. Their options are limited, so we went for the warm brownie sundae. It was large and luscious and definitely big enough for two to share. We went up the spiral staircase and enjoyed our dessert and a cappuccino while overlooking a bustling Biltmore Ave. When we asked, the uninterested in being friendly barista stated they had been there 16 years. She seemed very unhappy about this and evidently about her job as well.

Barista was a lil sassy and moody, but this is some of my favorite espresso/lattes/mochas. The atmosphere is one of a kind. Sit upstairs if you have time to chill

Love the fact this is in an old English bus, I’m from England so it is a great little gem for me. The coffee here was ok, nothing remarkable but nothing bad. The downside to this place is the disinterested and rude staff working here, she was very blunt and was not friendly at all, talking to me in short, simple and sharp tone of voice. Come for the coffee and the décor, not for the service.

Great location and very friendly staff. Coffee wad excellent, noir to sweet and very tasty. It was raining so we opted to go to the top deck and sat on the bench while looking out at the people passing by. We were by the bass speaker and could hear the vocals faintly, which made for a really cool ambiance. Did I mention how friendly the staff was? :-)

Love love LOVED this place! Walking around downtown and enjoying the chilly evening we saw this parked double decker bus and were automatically intrigued as to what it was(as were other people who had stopped to watch us explore the outside and try to figure out how to open the door-haha). Once we figured out how to read ;) we went inside and I simply fell in love. It smelled like fresh coffee(and with the chill outside it was perfect). Service was quick and the barista was friendly. We got hot chocolate and a pumpkin spiced chai with two desserts. After we got our drinks and desserts we went upstairs to check it out. Super cute! We started drinking our fresh made drinks and my pumpkin spiced chai was perfect! And I heard rave reviews on the hot chocolate. Of course I opened up our little home made goods(chocolate chip peppermint cookie and a salted caramel macadamia nut bar) right away. THEYWEREINCREDIBLE! Spot on in every way. Cookie was soft, you could taste every ingredient in the nut bar. All in all I REALLY enjoyed this place! If you want a quick stop on your journey downtown then stop in here for great tea and coffee!(And hot chocolate)

I have been here a few times. It’s a cool place to see and visit in Ashville. Make sure you bring cash as it is cash only. There are seats both inside and outside. It’s okay to bring the kids here. Hot chocolate and coffee lovers Ahoy! And the milkshakes are not bad either. It is in the middle of everything so access is easy. Dogs have to stay outside. If you love chocolate give them a try.

Cute place and average prices. The bus is totally cute and you can even sit on the second floor. The outdoor area is very secluded and comfortable, which is awesome for beautiful days. The place is tiny though… The ceilings included ! Tall people will have to hunch over. Average tasting drinks ! They are nothing special, but they are good.

This coffee shop is nested inside a real Double decker! How awesome is that. We went there for coffee in an autumn morning, sipping warm latte and watching fall color through the bus top floor windows. Fantastic memory.

I am not a coffee person, but my daughter is and wanted to try this place. First, it is really a double decker bus with the coffee shop and counter on the first floor and seats and tables on the second level. We took our books so we could read and relax while she drank coffee. I won’t even try to write about what she ordered, but I ordered a milkshake. It was really good, thick and with lots of whipped cream on top. We took our drinks to the second floor and sat there reading and drinking for more than an hour. It is definitely a must do in Asheville, NC.

I absolutely love locally owned coffee shops! Ask yourself — have you found many that have something unique with their Theme or are they replicating the«S» chain? This place is a great blend of history and flavor. I got the chili pepper mocha latte — Santa Cachucha(Latino for Omgosh). Just go and enjoy the moment !!

The coffee is served the way I like it: very strong, very prompt, and with a smile. Pretty good snack choices at this venue of brownies(the regular kind, not the 420 ones) and snack bars from local vendors. While you can make an order on the inside of the venue, you’ll have to pick it up from the window from the outside. The outdoor seating is really, really relaxing. There is a small fountain seated in between small tables, while there is pleasant music playing in the background. You even have the option of sitting within the upstairs portion of the bus(I haven’t done that yet) to people watch. The scene both on the upstairs level of the bus as well as on the outside on any given day with good weather is quite laid back. The key thing to remember is that the seating area really is weather permitting. If there is one gripe that I have with Double D’s, its that the interior on the main level is absolutely not built for those that stand over 6 feet in height. With my height(I’m 6 – 2), I have to bend down from the moment that I enter. If standing for a certain length of time, you will more than likely have to sit down close to the cash register while you wait your turn to order. I’ve seen this down a few times, while I had to encounter this unusual experience for myself. Overall, this is a must-see and a must-stop while walking through downtown Asheville. While I’m a major fan of the popular coffee house across the street(City Bakery), I’ve become a fan of this venue more so because they are open on Sundays. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely adorbs! Cute and fun experience … However, the place is small(as it is a double decker bus) and I didnt find their pastry selection enticing and the coffee wasnt that great either. Plus some of the things there were a bit too pricey. But the people were very nice and sweet, and the experience was quaint.

Easily the best coffee I had while on this trip. Add to that a unique, fun storefront and a beautiful day, and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Trust me, get your coffee here. You won’t be disappointed. We went briefly upstairs to see the seating there, but it was just slightly too warm in there so we went back down and sat outside.

You can’t miss the coolest coffee shop in town located in the heart of downtown Asheville and just a few doors up from Wicked Weed. Parking in this area is tight, so if you don’t score a coveted street spot, turn down a side-street and get in one of the lots. We went twice during our Asheville visit — once during the day for mid-afternoon lattes(iced for me, hot for my husband) and encountered a terrific barista who did a fun design in the foam of the hot drink. The next night we went for coffee and dessert — hot lattes for both of us, and a brownie sundae. The coffees were great as usual; the sundae was just okay(Costco products). There are about 6 tables outside, with a smoking section towards the back. Upstairs seating in the bus is fun, but realllllllly hot on a warm day.
