The Green Sage catered the Accelerate Appalachia Business event. The food was always delivered on time, warm and with friendly smiles. The food was so good that we have become regular customers whenever we are in town. The breakfast biscuits are the best!

Visited the place early Tues morning and had a wonderful breakfast. The place is clean and well lit as are the bathrooms. The menu is diverse and has many gluten free options(including GF baked products). They have many tables and plenty of places to sit. The wifi was strong and the folks behind the counter were friendly and the food came quickly. I found the coffee to be fine. It was a great place to sit, eat and work. Despite what you read in other reviews the food was fairly priced for quality products… suggest those folks try the value meals at Denny’s or MacDonald for cheaper less quality food.

What a cold windy day in Asheville. Nothing better than the flat iron burger with Asian slaw. Burger was full of flavor with red onion, lettuce and a secret sauce on artisan bun. Slaw was alive with crunchy textures and tastes that dance in your mouth. The dessert case was filled with all the grains crafted into eye catching treats. Don’t miss it!

Yes yes yes! I’m currently writing this review halfway through my food, it’s that damn good. I’m in Asheville with some friends just exploring and we came across this place and decided to try it. It’s so clean, calm, and welcoming! It has a variety of choices for vegetarians and meat eaters. I got the Buddha Bowl and it is delicioussssss, I can’t even finish it because the portion is so huge and it was only $ 9 for this big healthy bowl! Definitely recommend this place if you’re visiting Asheville!

We ordered«farmer’s plate». The best of it is the jam which you can buy everywhere. No other things on the plate worth a try. So over priced compared to the quality. DONOTRECOMMEND.

不推荐 惨不忍睹 物价太贵 I ordered Santa Fe omelet with toast. Wallet empty. Still hungry. You know what I meant.

They accommodated us easily. We called ahead to find out if they had a table for 10 on a Saturday morning. The girl on the phone was very friendly. We ordered everything from blueberry pancakes to the biscuit sandwich. Everything was delicious. We even ordered some of their banana bread, zucchini carrot bread and it was to die for! I had the breakfast burrito and the blueberry pancake. Our friend had the burger and he said it was the best he’s had in a while. Next time we visit we will be back!

I have been a long time patron on The Green Sage, so this has been a long time coming. This place is wonderful. The ambiance is casual setting, not too noisy, and is located in central downtown(a prime location to say the least). I always get the breakfast burrito when here, it’s heavenly deliciousness wrapped in a tortilla, and I highly recommend it! The Green Sage prides themselves on staying local, and thus purchasing the food they serve from local vendors. They have many gluten-free and organic options if you’re into that sort of thing. Check ‘em out! Eat good food. Explore downtown with a happy stomach.

The biscuits are very good and huckleberries are really fresh. I also recommend the oatmeal.

Very good, but that is just my opinion. I had the farmers breakfast. The root hash is something different. I’m used to potatoes or grits but I’m always up for something new and this was a good surprise. I chose bacon instead of sausage and it was delicious as well, thick sliced, not thin like you’d get at a chain restaurant. Eggs had flavor to them also unlike mass produced supermarket eggs. The biscuit was good. I’ve had better but maybe it was because I ate it last and let it get cold. I’m sure it would have been better had I eaten it warm.

This is the first time I have finished a breakfast thinking, I need to go eat breakfast or something else. This place is over priced for what they serve. I will post a picture of my «farmers breakfast» later, but trust me, it’s an insult to any farmer. The best part of this breakfast was the 2 strips of bacon and the iced earl grey tea. Otherwise, I suggest anything else, anywhere else.

I love the atmosphere, open and well lit and the food is great. Just what I wanted something healthy and full of nutrients for breakfast which tasted great as well. I had the huckleberry bowl which tasted great. It was not too busy either unlike some other restaurants around which had 40 minutes wait on Sunday morning around 9:15.

Order a breakfast sandwich. Their biscuits are TODIEFOR! We came here for a late breakfast on a Thursday. To eat I ordered the bacon and egg with white cheddar cheese, and to drink I got a cappuccino and a shot of ginger kombucha. My stomach was happily satisfied for hours afterward! My boyfriend says his breakfast burrito was super yummy, too. Staff was nice. Place was clean. No complaints here!

What a gem! Green Sage boasts an extensive menu filled with local, fresh, organic ingredients… And they do not disappoint! They offer options for those who are gluten sensitive, vegan, as well as for omnivores. I had the tomato spinach feta omelette on their sorghum bread with the root hash. Best egg sandwich I’ve ever had. My partner had the chipotle turkey wrap which he noted was delicious and packed with flavor. They also have milkshakes with coconut milk ice cream and all of their baked goods and sorghum sweetened. 4 stars because their service is average to below average.

I wanted something sweet so I popped in here for a coffee and a zucchini bread muffin. Coffee was fine, and the bread was decent too. It wasn’t very sweet, which I liked, but it was a little dry. First time here but I’d return when I’m in Asheville again. I love just walking around downtown and finding little places like this.

While walking around downtown during a warm summer day I was overcome with the desire for a cold and refreshing ice tea. I found myself on the corner of College and Lexington and realized that my best bet for a tasty beverage of the tea variety might just be at the Green Sage Café. I walked in and approached the counter. Upon asking for an ice tea I was given a glass and informed that I would have the ability to serve myself to my hearts delight from the four ice tea urns situated close by. Four choices of ice tea? Be still my heart. I enjoyed the English Breakfast and the Peach Ginger, both caffeinated varieties, the other two options were herbal, which I’m sure were equally pleasant and delicious, but I like my tea and coffee fully leaded. I didn’t have a chance to try the food, I was solely on a mission for tea, and tea is what I had. Mentioning food, I was surprised that the menu that hangs above the counter is solely beverages, the food menu is a separate hand held number. Which is cool, but slightly discombobulating.

I really liked this place, people are friendly and they have organic and healthy menu which it’s quite hard to find in the south, the decoration is very nice too. They have free wifi so if you want to take you computer and work a little bit there while having great food you sure can! and should! :))

This is my first visit and I am quite perplexed at some bad reviews that this place has been getting. I have been meaning to brunch here for a while and this time I had a chance. Carrot ginger juice is definitely worth a shot if you like fresh juices. I had the spicy kimchi reuben sandwich. I liked the way the reuben was cooked and the spiced filling. A special mention to the Sautéed Kale and Onion Salad. Their food tasted so earthy and filled my tummy just about right. Lentil soup also tasted good. It is definitely unlike the lentil soup you get in indian restaurants. Bottomline: Good earthy food and juices and well priced.

After having our car was stuck last night and we couldn’t have dinner, I couldn’t have been happier with my breakfast! This place has a cute personality with lots of healthy options for anyone! I ordered the berry pancakes(GS) and the biscuit(GA). I have been wishing for a GF biscuit for years and they did not disappoint. I came with a large party and everyone love their plates. Turkey sausage and egg biscuit, scrambled eggs, multigrain bagel with eggs, and berry cheesecake bar. The staff is super courteous and everything was very clean! I hope to have the opportunity to come back soon and try some of their other options, especially the juices!
