Antler Hill Village

This place is like a gift-​with-​purchase, as you have to have a Biltmore tour ticket or be a guest of one of the Biltmore hotel/​inns to access it.
Good shopping. But, wine tasting (free!) is the thing here. The wine is good, especially since much of the fruit is from California… even though some is grown right out back.

We stayed at the antler hill hotel and it was very nice. There are two places to stay on the estate and this is one of them. It is newer than the inn and more relaxed. The décor and atmosphere is farmhouse chic and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There are 2 places to eat in the hotel. The «kitchen» is a quick place to grab something to eat or drink. The village social is a sit down restaurant where we had breakfast each morning. They also serve lunch and dinner and have a bar. However, Cedric’s tavern and the bistro are within walking distance. There is also an ice cream shop close by. There is an outdoor pool. An outdoor courtyard area with small propane fire pits. The shuttle is very helpful getting around the estate and arrives every 15 minutes. The outdoor shop is with in walking distance. (To make reservations for Kayaks and other outdoor activities) I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

This area is new to us and a great addition to the estate. Several different options of areas to spend time before or after your visit to the main house. Looking forward to going back and visiting Cedric’s Tavern.

Cool mountain air, live music, and beautiful scenery make this a prime place on the Biltmore Estate. Granted, the house is the main attraction, but Antler Village is a gem you don’t want to miss! Be sure to stop by the sunflower fields, and don’t forget the creamery! The signature Biltmore vanilla will grab you and permanently steal your heart.

I don’t know why people are so disappointed with this place. I mean, after seeing the Biltmore home, this little village isn’t exactly SPECTACULAR, but it’s great for what it is. Perhaps they have improved it recently, but I found the village to be quite inviting and the parking was ample. If you’re looking for a shopping extravaganza, go to the mall! The Antler Hill Village has small specialty stores, and if you can’t enjoy anything about it, how about some wine? You can try 20 different wines for free at the winery, and the underground tunnel leading to the winery is super cool. Don’t skip this if you go to Biltmore. You paid for it, and again, why would you pass up the free wine? This is the perfect place to stop after walking the property all day, and it’s open later than the house, until 6 PM, I believe. They are also building a new hotel here that they are already taking reservations for.

There is nothing to this place. The café isn’t that great either. The only saving grace is the short underground sojourn to wine tasting. The gift shop is pretty looking. We did find some interesting ornaments for the christmas tree. Mind you, like most gift shop, most of items are pricy.
I would rather skip this place if you are on a day tour to Biltmore.

You must have a Biltmore ticket to access the AV. There isn’t a lot of shopping available here. There is a Vanderbilt family museum, a pedway course, and the winery… other than that, Antler Village wasn’t very memorable. The parking lot was full, so obviously not everyone thinks the same as I did.
After walking all day at Biltmore, I was looking forward to enjoying a tasting at the winery. I thought the winery was a bit out of the way… meaning it wasn’t close to the parking lot. Maybe that was a strategic plan, so that visitors would have to pass through most of the village to get to what is probably most popular attraction in AV. Would I go again? Um, yeah… didn’t I mention wine?!
