I love this place and go at least once a week. I always get the same things: bowl of queso, cheese enchiladas, and the chicken chimichanga. I recently stepped outside of the box and tried the banana cheesecake chimichanga for dessert and that was delicious too! If you’re eating healthy, try the high protein salad-I like the chicken, it’s juicy and you don’t even need the dressing it’s so good.

I suggest going there only for drinks and The Mariachi band. I ordered CHORISTEAK, I took one bite it’s flavorless, honestly The worst ribeye steak I’ve ever had. The server asked me if I liked it and I told him that it was horrible, he asked if I wanted anything else and Declined, because I asked him what was one of the best things on the menu and that’s what he recommended. So if that was the best, I didn’t want anything else. He just left it on the table, never took it off the check even though I didn’t eat it, even asked me if I want to pack it up and take it home and I declined. Very disappointing experience two stars, The drinks we had there we’re good. And honestly the server was fast and attentive. It seems the The staff prefers the tables closest to the door, they congregate there and roll silverware, it’s a bit unprofessional.

Terrible service, drinks were awful & even found a fruit fly in our margarita. Not to mention the margaritas tasted like lemonade! Food wasn’t even hot, like the fajitas weren’t even sizzling when it was brought out. Like WHAT??? They are suppose to close at 10pm, and doors were locked at 9:26pm, we were told to leave through the back door because they were closing. The worse experience ever, I will never come back to this location. I much rather drive to the sterling location, there I always get great service and food nice and fresh.

Not my favorite Mexican restaurant in NOVA but its so close to my house I keep returning. The place is rather popular so either everyone in the area is as lazy as I am or others have a higher opinion of this place than I do. A word of warning do not, I repeat do not order the carnitas, I have never had such a dry piece of pork in my life — just awful. Fajitas are good they add tomatoes into the onions and peppers which adds a nice tang and a bit unusual from the typical offering. The staff is friendly and attentive and the margaritas are cheep(but weak). If you are in the area seeking a meal stop in as long as you avoid the carnitas you will do OK. But do not make a special trip to check this place out.

We have lived in this area for 5 years & never tried this place out. Decided to and was very pleased! We love Mexican and enjoyed how inexpensive it was. The tacos, enchiladas, chips and salsa, taco salad and the refried beans and rice are amazing! Not to mention the Margaritas are delicious!

I’ve eaten at the Sterling location for years, but only for lunch. My sons and I tried the Broadlands restaurant for dinner. All of our meals were good, better than average Mexican. Service was very friendly and attentive. But we started the meal with the Nachos Al Carbon. Outstanding. Strips of very tender, very tasty steak on fresh made nacho chips. All covered with a very good creamy cheese sauce. When we started wasting the nachos we were disappointed that we hadn’t gotten the steak in our entrees. I cannot recommend the Nachos Al Carbon highly enough. I’d go back just for those.

Tuesday is everything half off for woman, and Wednesday for man. They have pretty good atmosphere there, and we always had someone’s birthday party nearby. The cocktails are delicious, especially for that price for a happy hour. Both times we were there, we found the food and taste pretty decent, but the service was always fantastic!

Just moved near by and this place is as close to Texas style Tex-Mex in Northern VA. From Houston so I know Tex-Mex.

We are at the South Riding location, it has only been open for 3 days, definately a rough start for them! Seems to be short staffed for a «grand opening! Sat at bar, had to ask for menu’s(including drink menu). Got the specials from hostesses which the bartender felt compelled to argue about. We ordered«bean dip», it came with a bowl blanco dip & a couple of beans. Chips were stale and salsa was so-so. soft taco’s came with meat ONLY no lettuce/tomato/sour cream or guac! Overall, both food and drinks were over priced and over rated and a horrible experience(also having fidgety kids sitting next to you at the bar with the previous customers half empty Margarita sitting in front of them) Let’s hope they can get their act together soon or else I don’t see them lasting for long in this area.

Yummy Mexican food! Ordered the triple fajitas(chicken, steak, shrimp) and it came with beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Everything came out nice and hot, which was great. Service is very attentive and atmosphere is nice. Will definitely be back!

Above average Mexican but not the best in Loudoun county. 3 star salsa but 5 star guacamole! Definitely try it! I enjoyed the taco salad and the chicken was really well cooked. Portions are pretty big too! Hope to comeback here soon for margaritas and some more tasty meals!

Was SO hoping to like this place… my daughter loves the white cheese dip, so we went to get that and they add some sort of seasonings to it that were not good at all. My waitress could not understand me at all, I had to tell her several times things, then she had to get someone else to come listen to me, I don’t think she spoke any English at all. Which, is super frustrating when you want a Corona Light with *LIME*…and you are trying to warn them your child has a shellfish allergy so no cross contamination. Then out came our food. It was just awful. I took a bite of my cheese enchilada and chicken enchilada and knew I wasn’t going to eat any more. Just bad. Both of my girls who usually LOVE Mexican food did not like their food, and both said they never wanted to go back here. Another $ 40 wasted, couldn’t stand that food.

Last night we had some major traffic that forced us into going out rather than making some dinner at home. Such is the life in the DC area. :) So we thought for awhile and came up with a plan to get some mexican food. Now I haven’t had great mexican food here in the few months that I’ve been in Ashburn.(I’ll throw out a disclaimer that being a vegan our choices are much more limited.) Going out to Unilocal for some recommendations and finding something close to our house we figured we’d give Los Toltecos a try. I’m happy that we did. It was a nice night, we were greeted promptly at the door and asked if we wanted to eat inside or out. We chose outside. The waitress was very quick, came and got drink orders, then came back with chips and salsa and was ready to take our order. There was some confusion in the order because we didn’t want cheese, but she wrote that down and went off to the kitchen. Then another server came back with her to make sure that the order was right. Perfect example of proper customer service. So glad that they took the time to do that. The food was fast, the extra taco did come with cheese, but they remedied that without any complaint. It was hot, it tasted good, and it was the best salsa I’ve had in the area so far. We were quite happy. Next time I’m getting a marg. :) Anyway my only real complaint is that the grilled veggie fillings costs an extra $ 0.75 per item. Still, like I said we’ll return, it was good. I’d say check them out.

from: ladies that lunch** Yes…it was good. most fabulous category… no, but that is okay. happily has the ‘ladies that lunch’ stamp of approval. would I go back, yep… sure would. Visited over the lunch hour on a random Thursday. The server({s} — multiple) did not hover, they got the gist that we were there to have a cocktail(or two) and a juicy gossip session. It is such an appreciation to find this type of service and was a most enjoyable afternoon outing. A few lime margaritas on the rocks and we finally did order — lunch portion of chicken fajitas and the queso/chorizo/refried bean appetizer to share between the two of us. Chips and chunky salsa hit the table first with our bevies… we certainly made a dent in two baskets of better than decent tortilla chips. But the real star of lunch beside the company was the queso/chorizo/bean thingy app… kinda wanted to crawl into pjs, close the curtains and watch a marathon of Sex and the City reruns on bravo with this queso. This wasn’t velveeta based, but its white queso cousin with a dollop of yummy chorizo and another dollop of refried beans that sat in the center of the bowl of queso. I can see how a(or more than one) chorizo filled taco would never make it home, and really, you may not want to share in the first place either. Chicken fajitas… were good certainly and the lunch portion came with two flour tortillas. Enough to share with the app and plenty after so many chips and salsa. Out of the way, off the beaten path of the usual route 7 weekday lunch rush and a real find for anyone that lives in proximity. Happy to go back.

So we recently went here again and it wasn’t as good as I remembered. The fajitas were all veggies and no meat. They were pretty bland. The veggies were cooked so long that they really lacked color. Not a nice presentation. Atmosphere was fine. It was clean. Not too noisy. The service was okay. Friendly, but not very attentive. We had the fried ice cream again and it wasn’t the best. First I like a little more crispy outside and second please don’t put rainbow sprinkles on it. I don’t know many adults who like sprinkles. Plus, the way I see sprinkles is they are just there to cover up a bad dessert.
