This place has the best falafel you’ll ever eat in your life! Place is well run and the owner David is super nice. I just wish they would change their hours so they’re open Monday-Wednesday.

Great place to visit, cheap and tasty. We shared the special appetizer – mini-sized-pizza, a sabich pita, a schnitzel platter and date cookies. Everything’s exceeded our expectations. The sabich pita sandwich has amazing stuffings inside and my bf especially love their deep-fried-sesame chicken filets. A must if you come visit the silverball pinball museum just like us :-)

Sorry but I just don’t get all the glowing reviews here but that aside I think their food is good but not great. The ambience was same as ever and too cold to enjoy our lunch. Look when the place is named Lentil Tree you would think they would have lentils, apperently not on this day when we were there however. The falafel were decent but again not great. So here I sit in the cold, without my lentils and paying too much for what we did get. We may give them another shot sometime and that is just a maybe.

What a great little spot. Would not have found this place without Unilocal. Had the sesame chicken platter which was Awsome. Full plate with some tasty sides. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Will return

Finally! This is what AP needed! Everything is fresh, authentic, and delicious. We ordered takeout and shared all 4 platters and nothing fell short. The falafel was crunchy on the outside but beautifully soft and green inside. All the salads were super flavorful and fresh. The Jibben(spinach quiche) and Mujedra were perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

Ordered falafel platter take out for lunch. Delicious! Nice and light. Not greasy. Great taste. Will definitely be back. Will try to dine in next time b/c this place has a quaint little space and a great vibe. The staff(I’m assuming the owner b/c he is the guy on the website) was great. Super friendly and accommodating. Hope this place sticks around b/c northside of Asbury needs some good solid options.

Just had a great dining experience. I had the Jibben and my partner had the Schnitzel. Both meals were delicious and fresh. David, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back. FYI… it’s a BYOB.

OMG, finally a falafel place in AP. What an amazing place. I have been yearning for this staple in my diet since moving here last August from Hoboken/Jersey City area where the Mediterranean food is abundant and authentic. The Lentil Tree owner, David, greeted me when I walked in — such a nice guy. I got a falafel pita and it was absolutely delicious with all the salads inside with hummus and tahini. It was filling, amazingly fresh, and stuffed perfectly with alternating salads and balls inside so you didn’t get to the bottom of your sandwich of just salads and no balls. Hummus was incredibly smooth and flavorful. The falafel balls had amazing flavor and were decent sized(I did think the balls could have been a tad more crispier, but that may not be the way they want them served there.) The pita was fresh and perfect thickness. The menu looked awesome and I cannot wait to go through it. I did sample a little shot of their lentil soup, which also was absolutely delicious. Bravo! Two thumbs up. I will be back.

Stopped by for lunch. Ordered the Jiben and falafel platters, and I have to say, this place is truly first rate. The Jiben had a delicious chewy shell, the Israeli salad was light and fresh, and the falafel(heavy on the parsley) had a perfect crisp and not a hint of greasiness. Reasonable prices, excellent food, and friendly staff make me hope that Lentil Tree will become a neighborhood fixture for years to come. Looking forward to being a regular!

Excellent food, great vibe! Definitely worth the trip. Owner(David) is attentive and seriously anxious to keep the customer happy. The menu is a mix of ethnic favorites from the Mediterranean. The front area is small and cozy, but I preferred hanging in the back area which is an open air patio. Will be heading back very soon.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. BYOB. Finally an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant in Asbury. Be sure to save room for the desserts!

Went to the opening night and it was simply fantastic. I had the platter with parsley fritters, rice and salads which really tasted like my grandmothers cooking. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

A falafel sandwich, prepared the old world way, with all the toppings, which are all quite tasty when compiled onto a fresh pita with hummus and tehini. Reasonable prices and great execution of an old style mid east tradition is what will bring me back to the lentil tree. I CAN’T WAITTOTRYTHEOTHERDISHES!
