Sushi was good. Service was excellent. Friendly staff. Overall a nice place to get some good sushi. I recommend this place.

I live 5 minutes away from here, and I always drive by so I decided to try it out. As I walk in the first thing I noticed was, there was no sushi bar, no sushi chef. I guess they make it inside and bring it out. That’s a first. The inside looked like a Chinese take out joint. Few tables. Our hostess was also our server.ish. she takes the order then brings the food out. Then you go up to the register and pay. Anyways. I ordered miso soup but they ran out. I ordered seaweed salad but they ran out. And this was around 1 pm. So I just ordered unanimously nigiri, salmon, and yellowtail, and also a yum yum roll. The nigiri was so thin it fell apart when I picked it up. Definitely not fresh. The roll was just whatever. Food was pretty bad. Service was kinda like. Idk chic fil a type? Lol. Ambiance was terrible. I don’t even have a picture to show, let’s put it that way.

Really good Sushi joint. Not really into writing reviews but my wife and I stopped in on Saturday for lunch and were extremely impressed with the experience. Probably the best value dining experience I’ve had in quite some time.

Super good spot, always playing the best tunes when I eat in, friendly servers and the food comes to you super fast

The sushi is generally fairly good. The customer service on the other hand is atrocious. Went last week and the young girl(with glasses) that took our order ruined our entire order and brought us every thing we said we didn’t want. My fiancé and I chalked it up to a bad day. We just left again and the same girl was a bitch from the second we sat down. We ended up leaving without my lunch since it took over 30 min to get one roll out. We will get sushi from king supers before we ever go back in there.

We went for the all you can eat lunch which they do not offer anymore. We decided to try it out anyway and were not very impressed. The rolls were not that great, especially for the price we paid, for lunch. There was not anything glaringly awful, the restaurant was clean and the service was nice, but for us sushi is a treat and the price of what we had compared to the taste did not equal out. We will go somewhere else for our sushi.

So good and great prices. The caterpillar and the crazy roll are delicious. The Chef is friendly and has taken my order when the server was busy.

I’ve eaten here several times for lunch and the food was always fresh and the portions were big. The last time I came in(June 4, 2015), they no longer have the all-you-can eat special. Instead, they have a lunch combination special where you buy two speciality rolls and get a regular roll free. For no longer offering the all-you-can-eat deal, I was surprised to see that the portions were much smaller for the specialty rolls. There must be new ownership or they changed their recipes because the rolls I usually get did not taste or appear like before. Their website is also under renovation, but it features a musical artist instead of any mention of the restaurant so it was a bit confusing.

The service is great, but the host was wearing blue jeans, sneakers, and a tshirt to work. It was a little unprofessional. There is a lack of décor, the walls are painted a mustard yellow and there are signs that furniture scratched the wall. It was unwelcoming just because it was so bare and some of the tables weren’t high enough for some lounge chairs, which would make it difficult to eat from the table. Lastly, the sushi was still partially frozen when it was brought to us, and it made it very hard to consume. There was no authentic taste to the sashimi. YaYa has been open for a while, but I think the higher reviews came from people who haven’t really had good sushi before.

It is Tuesday #2 that we have tried to come here for lunch and they are randomly closed. The sign says they should be open on Tuesdays(i know some places close on certain weekdays). We’ve heard good things about the sushi, but haven’t had the chance to even try it. The first time there was a handwritten sign on the door so it seemed like maybe an emergency caused the closure. No sign this time… not really sure what to think of this place and its operation. I guess it’s a must to CALL the restaurant before heading out there. We will probably try again in the future since we like supporting locally owned places, but for now this review sits at a 2 for offering all you can eat and the convenience of being in an area without a lot of other sushi places.

If I am honest, I was afraid to go to an all you can eat sushi place. The price point is $ 14.99 for all you can eat, but you can only order 3 rolls at a given time. I am not saying this was the best sushi in the world either, but it was equivalent to the price point. What moved it from 3 to 4 stars was the service. Our waiter was attentive but not bothersome and he really paid attention to detail in our orders as well as preferences. The interior doesn’t look like your typical sushi place, but it was very clean and bright and there were unique seating arrangements.

This place is bizarre and not your typical sushi place. I was in town for a business trip and was staying close by. This place had the highest reviews on Unilocal so I though I’d give it a try. I was totally thrown off by the seating situation. A combination of tables and chairs, some high, some low, and no sushi bar. This in particular threw me off since I was dining solo but it didn’t matter and I took a seat by the window. The place was pretty busy but I think they’re understaffed too. I ordered hot tea only to be served hot water in a paper cup with a tea bag on the side. WTF? After getting my «tea» I sat there for a bit waiting for a menu then finally had to get up and get one myself. I figured out was I was going to order then sat there for a while and watched the solo server bus tables while the rest of the patrons sat there watching, each recognizing the awkwardness of the situation. Finally he came over and I placed my order. I ordered miso soup, the Winter Roll, and the Keyla Roll. The Winter roll was delicious but wasn’t served with the traditional ginger and wasabi on the side. It also came out before my miso soup which was odd but oh well. The Keyla roll came out and the server put it down but called it the wrong name. I had to question him to make sure I was getting what I ordered and then he corrected himself, but I still wasn’t certain. I looked up the description on my phone and realized there were missing ingredients. When I told the server the avocado was missing he just laughed it off and asked if that was ok. There was no pride in the preparation. I decided I wasn’t going to eat it so I asked for the menu again. This time I ordered the Tempura Ebi roll. For a tempura roll this came out extremely fast. It’s as if the shrimp tempura was ready and waiting to be rolled. It tasted that way too. The flavor of the roll was good but I expect a tempura roll to be hot and this was luke warm at best. In the meantime, I watched a party of 4 ask for the server’s attention several times, ask for wasabi, ginger, chopsticks and everything else that should automatically come with a sushi dinner. They were also complaining about the portion of the teriyaki and a few other things. While the flavors of the sushi and the music was good, and it’s reasonably priced, I would not recommend this place. On an up note, they did take the Keyla roll off the bill(after I asked since it technically wasn’t what I ordered).

For such a tiny place I was really pleased with the quality and flavor of the sushi here. The atmosphere is really nice and not crowded. The guys working are friendly. The menu has a decent variety of rolls to try, as well as all the staple sashimi and nigiri options. I tried the«Winter» and«Play Boy» rolls. They were both really fresh and tasty, with a good blend of textures and tastes. The guys also told me they have an all-you-can-eat special every day from 11 – 3. I’ll definitely be back!

I would highly recommend this sushi restaurant. Went for lunch with my co-workers and we were looking for a new sushi restaurant to try. Sushi Yaya was perfect! The restaurant décor is cute and trendy. They have a great menu to stay and eat, or they have take-out. We also noticed from the menu that they deliver and cater. Sushi Yaya had an all you can eat lunch for $ 14.99 that was delicious. It allowed us to try many different rolls, appetizers and sushi pieces. They have a really interesting selection of rolls — we tried at least 15 — 20 different rolls and they were all absolutely delicious. All of the fish was really fresh. They had a great selection of spicy rolls that everyone loved. Their cucumber and seaweed salads were so crisp and flavorful. The staff was really friendly, helpful and gave great suggestions on new rolls to try. When we left they said, «See you tomorrow!». There is a pretty good possibility we will be back tomorrow! I think this will become a regular lunch spot for us. I’m also sure that we’ll be ordering delivery from them on busy days.

Loves this place so we came back. The staff was very friendly and cater to our needs. Looks like they did some upgrades. Fountain drinks. alot more sushi rolls added. New menu. It was another great experience. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The YaYa is still my favorite roll. We will definitely be back to try more of the new rolls.

I went to Sushi Yaya last week. I was not impressed. The spicy tuna rolls seemed old. Smelled extremely fishy. If you love eating sushi the fishy smell should not be that over-powering. I wouldn’t waste my time or money. Pocket your money and go to Hapa’s. They spent more money on the cashier technology than on appealing décor on the restaurant they so adore. Seating is very limited. My boyfriends tuna teriyaki was completed microwaved and everything is served in plastic containers as if you were only ordering for take-out not dine-in. I agree that it is cheaper than the sushi at King Soopers but you get what you pay for. Don’t go unless you want disgusting sushi COLORADO!!!

The wife and I decided to try the new sushi spot by us on a Friday night! Read a few reviews before We went and said we couldn’t believe the price. It must be low quality for that much. Usually I pay almost double to triple per roll and its meah. This place is legit. Great prices! Awesome staff! And the sushi was pretty damn good. All fresh! Even the ginger was fresh! We had the kraken and hulk roll and yellow tail and Cali roll as well. 23bux!!! Plus they gave us bottles of water for free. Thought it couldn’t get any better than the great guy behind the counter gave my wife a Broncos T!!! This place has awesome sauce spilled all over it! Must try!

Super amazing customer service, for starters. While my daughter and I waited for our food, the guy behind the counter let us grab a bottled water out of the cooler to enjoy. I ordered spicy tuna, california rolls, a chicken teriyaki bowl, and edamame — for $ 15. Furthermore, I asked for extra plain rice and they gave me an entire bowl of it for no extra cost. The place is exceptionally clean and open, they have a huge selection of sushi. The only complaint I had was that their edamame tasted… minty. I dunno. When you’re expecting sea salt and you get an unexpected herby taste… it just caught me off-guard. Oh, and one more tip: I went in and kind of expected quicker service, but with only two guys working there, you wind up waiting a little longer than anticipated. However, like I mentioned, the ambiance is nice, and the sushi was delightful.
