Massage Envy – Arvada West

There are some really fantastic therapists here (Jeremy, Amber, and Lisa come to mind) but an hour massage is actually only 50 minutes and and hour and a half is only 80 minutes. They dont start on the hour (It doesnt matter what time get there, they dont even come out to take you back until after the hour begins) and they always end five minutes early. If they advertised as such I would have no issue with it, but really its false advertisement. For that reason alone I wont renew my membership when there are a ton of places that do the same or better pricing for 60 minutes of hands on time.
Update — I appreciate the owners comments, but I come ready for a massage and am dressed or undressed in about a minute. Also, all your ads to state 60 minute or 90 minute massages, so it absolutely is false advertisement. If you scheduled the way you do now, but called it what it is, then that would make sense. You cannot say its a 60 minute massage if its actually 50 minutes of a massage and 10 minutes for you to dress and undress.

This was only my second massage ever but knew my first was everything I expected, and then some. My experience with Massage Envy fell a bit short in these ways;
* The facility appeared clean, well maintained and a comfortable décor (a plus)
* I requested the addition of aroma therapy and a sugar foot scrub. Silly me, I honestly expected these to be «in addition to» the massage. Instead the time spent for both were taken out of the body massage time. So all three were crammed into a 50 min. session. Really???
* During the massage, my therapist talked almost the entire time (NOT relaxing)
* From the time I entered the building, throughout the massage and during my exit I received nonstop high pressure sales talk about my ‘next’ visit. I assure you, there will not be a next time with Massage Envy.
* For the most part I enjoyed the aroma therapy, massage and foot scrub. It was the talking and sales pitch that was not enjoyable.
Between the high pressure and the almost constant talking, I left there feeling better, but not completely relaxed.

Had the best massage today with Sandy. It was a prenatal massage and she made it very relaxing. You also can’t beat the introductory rate. Definitely recommend Sandy if you’re going in!

It’s extremely hard for me to give this place only 2 stars. The massage I received deserves 10, but the office staff RUINED my experience at this location.
I am a Massage Envy member and have been for almost 2 years. To make a very long story short: I booked a 1.5 hr massage on the phone last minute yesterday, and was told I could use 2 of my stacked up pre-​paid massages (just like I have at the other 3 clinics I have visited) to pay for the massage. I check in, and after the normal pleasantries, and I’m getting checked in, am told I have 3 prepaid massages left to which I ask «even after using 2 today» and am told that unless I started my membership with THEIR clinic, I am not able to do that. When I stated that I have at three other clinics as well as I was told by the girl who answered the phone that I was able to do this, I was told «Hmmm…sorry.»
TERRIBLE customer service, amazing massage. Too bad the customer service outweighed the massage as far as experience.
