Just FYI, this place was pretty good when it still existed. I tried to go with a group of friends last night for dinner, and this place turned into a choo-uh-tang place. Ttu Rak is no more at this location.

tried this place because i saw it in k town and alll the reviews said the spicy galbi jjim was delicious. So i tried the regular galbijjim to go and it was ok, wasn’t the best, and i can’t hold the spicy as well as i used to. Maybe i’ll come back for some more. This building is out of place but it has it’s own parking lot. They have a lot of soups here, but most people come here for the galbi jjim

Galbijim is good. But spicy Galbijiim or as Ttu Rak translates«Maeun Galbizim» is even better. On a cold Saturday evening, three friends and I pulled into the dark parking lot of this small building. This restaurant looks out of place but so do many other shops in Artesia. But inside the restaurant, it’s not so creepy… rather it feels warm and quaint. It was pretty empty — probably because it’s new. We came here to eat Galbijiim. So for the 4 of us, we share three orders of spicy steamed beef short rib(maeun gablizim). I suggest going«medium» on the level of spiciness so that you can enjoy all the flavors and not worry about the fire in your mouth. After you finish the galbijim, you can ask for complementary fried rice. They take your iron pot to the kitchen and mix the leftover soup-base with the good stuff. You can choose from A or B – only difference is that A includes dried seaweed whereas B is served with cheese on top. If you think fried rice with cheese is odd, then you haven’t lived. You MUST try it. Overall — the banchan(side dishes), food, service, and overall experience was good. I’ll definitely come back again.
