I’m not going to lie the food was okay, enjoyed the salad. But the customer service was really bad. They charged us 6 people when only 4 ate. Didn’t find that fair but whatever end up being like 100 $ I’m total then before leaving my uncle used the restroom and got all wet cause their only restroom, there was water everywhere, he went to let know one of their workers and she totally ignored it, my aunt had forgot her purse so she went back and one of the girls rudely insisted for a tip and she said the minimum tip that we can leave was 10 $ lol after the bad service they still want a tip lol. Very disappointing.

Don’t bother making reservations. Just come with cash and you can bump through everyones reservations. They basically gave away our room to someone else because they gave them extra money upfront we were a party of 18 with reservations and they were a party of 20 without. They were complaining how they were closing soon, however since they gave our table away we had to sit separate booths and wait even longer. Anyhow, they didn’t have anymore rice paper. Which happens, however, offer an alternative like rice(which on previous occasions I’ve been in the same situation and they offered it for free) however, they said they were closing soon and didn’t have any more. Then, our waiter said wait ten minutes, i’ll have some for you. Well, other tables were receiving rice. So we asked the younger dude and he gave us some. They claimed they were soooo busy they ran out, but since they were closing in half an hour they didnt want to make anymore.(Remember its not our fault we sat down sooooo late) Then the bill comes out and some other lady claims she missed charging us for a drink AFTER we paid the bill because i moved my drink from my table to the next table to hang out with the rest of the group. The owner doesn’t give a shit. Anyways, we intentionally stayed wayyyy past closing. i usially tip very very well… but nahhhhh no they did not deserve a tip.

$ 9.99 gives you the perfect amount of food for 2 people. The meat is cut pretty thin and it isn’t chewy. It sucked that they didn’t have rice paper though! Rice paper is definitely a must for me. They gave us the rice bowl for free though. The service wasn’t as bad as other posts had mentioned. They refilled the water without asking, asked if we wanted more sides or meat, and were pretty prompt on what we ordered. We’ve been here a couple times and have definitely noticed a difference in their customer service.

Don’t come here if your not Asian. It sucks to say that, but I’ve been coming to this place for 3 years and the service has only gotten worse and worse and I’ve noticed that the way Asian customers are treated in the establishment vs non Asian customers is pretty big. The meat is pretty ok quality but the service leaves a sour taste in my mouth that I can’t shake.

This is my go-to kbbq spot when I’m on a budget. It gets the job done, and I never have to wait more than 20 minutes for a table. The $ 9.99 selection doesn’t get you much(brisket, spicy pork, and pork belly), but the meat quality is pretty decent for the price. It’s tough to find a good, quality AYCE for less than $ 10, but I’ve been to many others and Hwang Hae Doh is probably the most ideal. PROS –Meat is served in large portions –Sauces are available on your table –There’s not really a single waiter«assigned» to your table, so I never have to wait too long for more meat CONS –Garlic is $ 3 extra –Meat is on the fattier side –Not many choices for meat, and rice bowls are extra

Great food and great service. It was simple, easy, and really tasty. All of the waiters seemed to work together as a team(with the busboys), so I was never really sure who our«official» waiter was. It didn’t matter. Everything was fast and friendly. The big surprise was my kids(4 and 6) both liked it as well, and on the way home my four year old said that it was«awesome»(first time I have ever heard him use the word, which was kind of cute as well). Anyway, this is now our«go to» Korean BBQ place, since the food is good, the service is fast, and the price is right.

My friend and I visited this AYCEKBBQ on 5÷18÷16. We have came here a few times previously and the food was okay for the price. Unfortunately, today was an absolutely horrendous experience. My friend and I couldn’t believe the terrible service. Okay. Here goes my story. My friend and I don’t care too much for the fat on our meat, so we took our time to take off as much fat as we can off our beef and left it on one of our other plates. After a couple plates, we noticed the older Asian woman with short hair stop bringing us our sides. We thought it was odd but we were having a good time eating and talking so we didn’t pay much attention to it. The older woman then came back and turned off our oven and placed down the bill. WEWERENOTFINISHEDEATINGBYANYMEANS. What shocked us the most was when the older woman ask my friend«Why didn’t you eat the fat?» And my friend responded«Oh I don’t like to eat much of the fat» and the lady said«WHY, ITSGOOD» in a very mean way. My friend responded«oh I just don’t like to» then the lady said, and I quote, «THENDONTCOMEBACK.» And she walks away. DONTCOMEBACK??? What the heck is the lady’s issue! Me and my friend were absolutely appalled and disgusted by this lady’s attitude. We felt so uncomfortable, and it didn’t help that she kept staring at us with a mad look on her face. I went to go pay and she gave me my change very angrily and we left. HORRIBLE, TERRIBLESERVICE! I’m still shocked at the way she talked to my friend, who is not only a regular customer, but a very kind person who was trying to eat her food the way she wanted. This place isn’t an ALLYOUCANEAT, it’s more of a «we tell you how to eat and how much you can eat and there are no exceptions» type of place. Avoid and go to the many other lovey KBBQ places in Cerritos.

Brandon was very personable and helpful to us as we are kitchen challenged ladies :) A half of a cow later and 1 less chicken in the world, we are happy folks. Lots of veggies, great spices and they didn’t chastise us for wanting glasses of water!!! We’ll be back.

This is my go to for fast and inexpensive kbbq! Been coming here for many many years! I love coming here… it’s simple & does the job of getting my belly full and filled. Normally we ordered the $ 9.99 but today decided to get the $ 14.99 it comes with beef ribs, boneless short ribs, sliced brisket, marinated pork belly, beef brisket and beef tongue… we got all except the marinated poke belly. We also got the HITE beer(two glasses please) with our fav dipping sauce & we always order side of bean paste & slice garlic however today we were taken back, we asked for garlic(all the time) & they said its $ 3 for a side of garlic.(my reaction was cray).‘what?! No way! You’re joking right?!’ I seriously thought he said $ 3.NO he was not joking. a small bag of garlic at Kimlong supermarket(it’s where I grocery shop for Khmer food) for 99cent! Nxt time I should just bring my own sliced garlic. who would have knwn they charge an arm n a leg for it. before it was free and last I came it wAs $ 1 now it’s gotten super ridiculous and outrageous $ 3! Anyways I was displeased to hear that. I guess I’ll eat garlic and kbbq at diff places and time(boOohoo) They open pretty late! 11pm Still love it here though.

Initially coming to this kbbq spot, you can smell the bad service in the air… The food was alright for a Kbbq spot but thier service is just awful! I gave this place multiple opportunities and each time it would be worse and worse. Waiters/Waitresses would roll their eyes and give a nasty face when you even asked them for something. To add to that, we had the worst sevice when the restaurant almost completely empty!?! To top it off they still bugged for a good tip. If y’all want a good tip, forget this place and go the the KBBQ on Carson and Bloomfield. Waaaaay better service and the quality of food is maaany times better than here. FYI my buddy throw up his food a couple of hours after we ate.

We were invited here years ago by a friend. The price can’t be beat! $ 9.99 for all you can eat(AYCE) beef brisket, pork belly, and spicy pork. They have other options too, but when this is so inexpensive, why get anything else. Some people are turned off by the idea that you have to cook your own meat, but I prefer it because we can make it how we like it. I like it just brown, my mother in law and nephew prefer it extra crispy. Unless you come before 7pm or during the week, you can expect to wait 30+ minutes. It’s so worth the wait!!! Minus a star because of the older female staff. They are so rude. Especially to people who are not Korean. Also, the restrooms feel dirty. All the other staff, especially the young men are so helpful, attentive, and friendly. They will bring you as much meat and as many sides as you’d like. Potato salad, bean sprouts, kimchi, kimchi cucumbers, fish cakes, glass noodles, and salad are the standard sides. We always ask for garlic and jalapeños and a foil cup. We boil them in the cup with oil on the grill. So good! They don’t charge full price for kids, and if you let them know ahead of time that the kid doesn’t eat, they may not charge you. Sometimes our daughter eats a lot and other times she doesn’t. The fish cakes and meat can fill her up. I’ve also seen kids bring in McDonalds, the staff doesn’t seem to mind at all. There is a banquet room for large parties in the back, but we had a party of 15 once in the front. The staff was all so helpful. The owner comes out sometimes and will bring a special meat or shot. He’s so nice. Mmm… Writing this review is making my mouth water. I want to go back soon!

$ 10 is the cheapest AYCE option. YOUREADYFORTHISRANTTHO? I am someone who’s always down to try AYCE places especially if its only $ 10 – 15 even if the food is just«meh». I love a good deal. However, this place ain’t worth it. I’ve been to this place 4 – 5 times in the past, and it’s always super packed so I guess I just excused the bad service especially at the cheap value. It was always minor things, like having to wait a ridiculously long time for a refill on rice paper or them being super pushy about making sure you tip. Also they like never refill your water, they always ignore you. But this last time I went, the place wasn’t empty, but there wasn’t a line out the door or anything. We ordered the $ 10AYCE meal, and the side dishes came out very quick, but the meat took forever to come out. After finishing JUSTTHEFIRSTROUND out of meat, one of the waitresses come’s by and says«hey you done right?» and just turns off the grill and keeps walking without us getting a chance to answer. You think we done after just one round? I MEAN, THISISALLYOUCANEAT… WHYAREYOUTURNINGOFFTHEGRILL? VERYRUDE. The thing about these grills, is you can’t just turn them on from the side of the table. You have to have a lighter. We tried calling the lady back to turn it on, but she just ignored us. THENFINALLY, she came back, but it was to drop off the bill. At that point, we were just done with the place and wanted to leave, never mind the fact we were not done eating. To make up for it a little bit, we asked for more of the potato side dish. But of course, the lady forgot the potatoes and just came back again for the check. Terrible. THISPLACEAIN’T EVENALLYOUCANEAT, CUS I DEFINITELYDIDNOTEATALLTHAT I CAN. 2 stars cause the my previous experiences weren’t as terrible as this one which deserves negative points.

The brisket quality here is superb. I was honestly shocked how great it was considering the low price. The brisket was tender and the flavor was spot on. Not chewy at all! I’ve only tried the $ 10 plate which includes 3 items: brisket, pork belly, spicy chicken. Yep just the basics! I thought everything was going to be frozen but they actually weren’t! Though, I wish it were beef belly instead of pork. The pork belly tasted um very porky and the chicken was well… spicy lol. These two were just okay. What saved my meal was the quality of the brisket. I cannot stress how darn good this was! Heck, for $ 10 I coulda eaten just the brisket alone. Came with sides: salad, jap chae, potatoes, fish cake. There are also soup available for extra charge In short, 5 stars for brisket &2.5−3 stars for pork belly/spicy chicken.

Probably the best $ 10AYCEKBBQ spot IMO because all of the banchan they serve are my FAVORITE! The glass noodles, bean sprouts, potato salad, cucumbers, salad kimchi and the thin slices of fish cake or is it tofu? I’ll inhale of the sides before the meat even comes out. Although the $ 10 is limited to just chicken, pork belly and brisket. Brisket is all we need! Service can be sort of slow here though, even when it’s NOT a full house, so I can only imagine when it is. But really, what KBBQ joint ever has on point service?

*Side Story* We went to Seoul restaurant next door. We glanced through the menu and realized that they did not have Galbi. The lady recommended we go to Hwang Hae Doh and have a Korean BBQ. So we indulged. It was a wise decision. There were a few tables that were already occupied. We were seated promptly, sides arrived immediately and food also was prepared and served relatively quickly. I ordered the beef and octopus and the Mrs. ordered beef. Total with tax and tip came to $ 39.68 Pros: Very delicious Bulgogi. One of the best we have had(+2) TV’s were playing some games. Even though there were other patrons that were eating the buffet, the restaurant itself wasn’t smelling like meat? Waitstaff was polite, and prompt. Cons: Hot inside the restaurant(–1) I don’t mind trying their AYCE option if we have time the next time around.

It’s your average KBBQ place. There are better places around but there are worse places around too. The reason why I still come here when there are better places is because the wait is usually longer at those better places and when you want KBBQ, you want it now. This place usually doesn’t have a wait time and the most I’ve had to wait was 15 minutes. Other places I’ve had to wait 30 minutes. The 15 minute difference in wait time is crucial when you’re hungry. For $ 10 you get brisket, spicy pork, and thick bacon. Other places include bulgogi in their $ 10 combo but this place includes it in their $ 13 combo. I never liked the thick bacon. It never seemed to get fully crispy like skinny bacon would get so whenever you bite into a fully over cooked thick bacon it would still be chewy in the middle. But some people like it. The spicy pork is just the right amount of spiciness and it seems to take longer to cook than the brisket. I taste a hint of garlic in the marinated spicy pork(if you’re watching your breath). The brisket is good. Standard but good. With sauces and rice paper and salad, it’s delicious. They have all the sides that you’d want from KBBQ. Potato salad is on point. Jap chae is good. Kim chi reeks of garlic so I hardly touch that regardless of where it’s served. Bean sprouts are good. After one bite my friend didn’t eat it and said the lettuce was stale. I don’t eat salads often but my friend does so trust that opinion and not mine. I thought it was edible and still ate it though. It’s a necessity in KBBQ. Service is off and on. I’ve had both really bad service and really good service here when it’s been packed. One time we’ve had to flag a server for 75% of the things that we wanted. Other times we’ve had to flag a server 10% of the time. When it’s not packed it’s been good service. So while it’s good KBBQ, it’s not amazing. But it gets a KBBQ craving out of the way.

I’ll only eat KBBQ with my friend, because for some reason he’s the only person that I know that eats beef like me. So we came here this past week, and while I’m still feeling a little sick, because I had a fever last week, see the review 2 posts down from this one on my profile, I would have to say that this place was still pretty enjoyable. I’m one of those people who needs to get my fix of KBBQ once in a while, and my friend knows all the good places to hit up We came here and were immediately sat down. I think it was because it was during the middle of the day, a little bit after the lunch rush, but way before dinner time We ordered the beef brisket, and that was the best meat on their menu in my opinion. I didn’t really like the spicy pork, and the pork belly was okay, but dang, when the waiter brought us our meat, my eyes literally popped out of my head. It was like a huge platter of meat! The second course of meat was a lot smaller, so that was good, but we couldn’t even finish up the second plate of meat. That’s how much meat they gave us Overall good sides, and the sauces were all there in front of us, so that it was a lot easier than having to call the waiter over multiple times, like Mr. Lee’s I would come back here!
