Super average. The lady at the drive through looked pretty over her job. Didn’t say any greetings even though I told her happy new year. But I don’t expect much.

So if I could them zero stars… I would. They have fresh lemonade advertised, but when I went to order it, they told me it comes out of the fountain. WTH? They were also out of extra crispy chicken The guy that took my order was as dumb as I don’t know what. I guess there is a reason I haven’t had KFC in a while… and why I shouldn’t have had tonight.

Standard KFC! They have dine-in and drive-thru options. The inside is very clean and bright. This location seems to put emphasis on the kiddies. They have a kids’ meal which consists of one drumstick and a couple sides which is new to me! They also have a kids’ corner in their restaurant that has little chairs and tables and a tv so that’s cute~ My brothers and I ordered 20 hot wings and they came out in like 2 minutes which was nice but probably means they weren’t the freshest hot wings! But my family loves KFC so we were fine with it. The employees are super friendly and helpful and we appreciated that. I’m kind of sad that the quality of KFC seems to have declined over the years… still good for fast fried chicken but): Parking is super easy here! Many spots labeled«KFC Only» so that’s a plus!

Im more of a fan of the great pleasant and so far exceptional customer service than anything eles here the crew are always warm &friendly my only complaint so far is the cleanliness of the dinning room & bathroom they both could stand a bit(alot) more overall attention it seems and on more a consistent basis like wiping tables/clearing & Cleaning toilets(inside&out) at least once per hour but mgr jonathan and nancy l. Are great!

The worst service I’ve ever had at any place in my life! I ordered food and after waiting 5 minutes they say it’ll be 4 minutes. 15 mi usted later My order is still not ready. I saw people leave with their food before I could even get mine. I asked for a manager and the people looked at me like it was my fault they took so long. Rude service. Rude staff. I’ll be making a call to cooperate !!! I hope they close this place down soon !

Terrible Place. Horrible service and lack of management. I had a planned party at 8:30pm at Friday night and knowing getting chicken ready takes some time I placed phone order around at 3pm. The employee acknowledged the 60 pieces of hot wings order and they will be ready by 8:20pm and took down my name. After the work, just to be sure I called them right before I leave at 8pm and NOONEANSWERED the call. Again made another call and answering machine picked up after 3 rings. NOANSWER. I rushed to the place at 8:30pm and employee name PRISCILLA was not aware of the order at all. I told her I called earlier for order to be ready on time and she found a memo with order and told me to wait few seconds to check. I was looking at her what she was doing in the back and noticed she was barely pulling the chickens out of the fridge and handing it to another employee and told me they FORGOTTHEORDER and will take 10 minutes to cook. WELLGUESSWHAT??? there were kids waiting anxiously for the chicken and because of untrained employee who does NOT value the large order from the customers, they lost the money and the customer. Like others are saying, no wonder KFCs are keep closing down. I will certainly file the letter of complaint to corporate office for this branch employees’ negligence and the manager’s incapacity to properly train employees as well as lack of ability to handle the branch business.

Zero Stars This is the second time I try this place. The Chicken sucks. The Chicken looks like its been sitting out for hours. Also both times that I’ve been here they short me an item… Not kidding this place sucks. It should be closed down.

–0 stars! I come in 30 min before closing because I’m craving biscuits and it takes almost 5 minutes before I am helped. And there are five or more people working. There were 3 others girls waiting for their order and they were screaming, HELLOYOUHAVE A CUSTOMER! Finally she takes my order and says there is a 10 minute wait for biscuits. GRRRRRRR! I remain calm and saw ok. A few minutes later she tells me the price for the 4 biscuits and says she will give me 6 biscuits for the wait. That was nice but after this experience and the pervious ones I read on Unilocal I will continue to go to the one on Bellflower in Long Beach. They are fast and courteous. Hell, they probably dropped the biscuits on the floor. Smh.

I like grilled chicken so I visited one in Hawiian Garden but they closed down. I have no choice but come in here because my business is near with this location. The flavor wasn’t that good and employees was all rude. I had this $ 19.99 special deal for 12 pieces of drumstick & thighs and 2 large mashed potatoes & gravy &1 large cole slaw &6 buttermilk biscuits. but the guy taking order from drive thru was telling me just 1 mashed potatoes comes with so I told him that I have best value flyer with me and he just accept my order. I do not understand because they are working in KFC and they do know there is special going on. They try to over charged me if I did not mention for the special flyer. There management should be aware of this location because I am wonder why they try to over charge me. there was no greeting or eye contact with customer and specially the guy who takes order was very rude. he knows that he was wrong and I was right so he was getting upsetting tone and this is it. The lady really wants to see the flyer whether I am cheating or not they eyes telling me that they can not trust their customer. The lady who hand out the chicken did not give me any honey so I had to ask for it. The management is crazy to have this kind of employee working in here. I will never come to this location no more… no wonder they are keep closing down.

As far as chains go, this is probably one of my mom’s faves so I do come for her 2 piece meal quite often. Easy drive thru — you can enter and exit from either the South Street or the Pioneer Blvd. side. Just look out for the Firetrucks — the fire department is directly across this location! And boy those are really LOUD! Chicken original style is okay — crispy is fun but really too much breading. The chicken is not greasy, probably because they cook it quickly? You can get a bucket of mixed pieces too — including grilled. They serve a lot of mashed potatoes as a side. I’ve gotten the veggies before and those came out practically gray — too long in the steamer. But the sweet corn and beans are just fine. Biscuits tend to be too mealy for me. Can’t really knock the Colonel for it’s extreme popularity! Just as long as you don’t have it more than once a week, I think your coronary arteries should be able to withstand it!

«I ate the bones?» «I ate the bones??» «I ATETHEBONES?!?» The Sunday LA Times had a BOGO coupon for the 2-piece boneless chicken combo, w/mashed potatoes & gravy, biscuit & a drink. Being that I don’t usually patronize the Colonel’s, it was the perfect opportunity to try KFC“s new boneless chicken. Drive-thru was a breeze. I ordered my meal, explaining I had the BOGO coupon & I received my food in a few mins. No problem with accuracy. The verdict — The boneless chicken was decent. Spicier than what I was expecting, which is a good thing. The meal comes w/1 piece white, 1 piece dark. The portion size was acceptable. I’ve ordered at the counter during previous visits. Seating is ample & the dining establishment is usually clean. Cashiers have been friendly each time. If your lucky, the Colonel will sometimes make an appearance for that special photo-op that youve been dying for ;p When factoring in the BOGO coupon, I thought the 2-piece boneless chicken combo turned out to be a nice lunch on a lazy Sunday. As mentioned before, I usually don’t patronize KFC because I prefer Church’s, so I wouldn’t come back unless I had another special offer in hand. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

*Stereotype Alert* Yes, I’m about to review a fried chicken joint. Ethnicity and physique notwithstanding, I really don’t eat fried chicken all that often. When I do, it’s either homemade, from a sit-down restaurant, or if it has to be fast food, Pioneer or Popeye’s. The other chains, like Church’s or KFC, usually run a distant 50th in my favorites list, for various reasons. Lack of quality, flavor, or overall poor quality all play a part in that. And my local KFC, which I only visit once in a blue moon, has helped to firmly cement the chicken joint from south of the Mason-Dixon in dead last thanks to recent visits. As mentioned, I don’t patronize the colonel all that often. But seeing that I’ve had to do some impromptu catering for a small crew doing some remodeling at the homestead, and they have a liking for KFC, I’ve been obliged to visit this location several times in the past couple weeks. The first visit went ok; service was relatively quick, the order was all there, and the piece of extra crispy I nibbled on was decent. And it goes downhill from there. Next visit, I order another bucket o’ extra crispy chicken meal, only to be informed they’re out. Say what? Apparently, the extra crispy is so popular, they tend to run out at the worst possible times, such as 4 in the afternoon. I didn’t realize late afternoon, pre-dinner time was such a prime time for extra crispy. Not wanting to wait 20 minutes, I decided to settle for the extra spicy crispy. And they mean it when they say spicy; the dinner guests commented that it was a lot spicier than they anticipated, and a couple bites I took confirmed. While I like heat, even this was a bit too much, especially considering this was from a chain, and considering that chains tends to dial things down for the masses. Props to the colonel for inflaming the rectums of the residents of the South Bay, I guess. With that experience fresh in my mind, I decide to visit this KFC again a week later, for another chicken catering run. I attempt to order another bucket of extra crispy, and again, denied; sorry, only extra spicy and original recipe tonight. Like Foghorn Leghorne, I say, I say, you are-a slippin’, suh. You’d think that considering they sell out of it consistently early on, they’d make more in anticipation, but apparently not. Maybe they think extra crispy is too much of a Yankee thing. Fine, let’s go for original, and an order of crispy strips on the side. The guy at the drive-thru window is friendly, and promptly gets my order. After a drive home, I unpack the goods. I’d had bad memories of the original recipe, namely the greasiness, and this KFC didn’t let me down, with enough excess oil on the soggy, limp chicken pieces to keep Al Sharpton’s hairdresser in business into the next millennium. Thoroughly repulsed, I root around for the chicken strips, only to find they’re not in the bag. Or bucket. But they’re on the receipt, though. All of which brings me here. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an easygoing guy, and have to be really torqued to leave a not-so-great review. But a couple of bad experiences here leave me no choice. Make no mistake, I’m not ripping the folks that take my order; they’ve always been friendly and with a smile. But the attention to quality and detail has me sorely disappointed. My advice? Please do something to the original recipe cooking process. Fried chicken isn’t health food, but the level of greasiness this location manages to achieve makes me wonder if they’re tapping into the oil reserves of the Shell station next door. Secondly, anticipate your customers desires. While I know my desire for a combined Pioneer chicken and strip club to pop up in this location isn’t likely to happen, at least consider prepping more extra crispy for the lunch or dinner rushes. Seeing that myself and others have been disappointed by the lack of crunchy fowl, you’d think they’d have noticed this trend, and compensated the amount to chicken prepared accordingly. But I guess there’s a warehouse of original and extra spicy they need to blow through first. And last but not least, double check orders as they go out. Nothing more frustrating than making a big order, only to drive all the way home and find a big part of it missing. So there you have it colonel. A challenge of the drumsticks. You’ve got potential, but need to step it up.

This is the worst KFC I have ever been to. Around 3 – 4 times I came here and left empty handed. Why? I came in the evening and for some reason they keep running out of chicken and wanted me to park and wait 15 – 20 minutes. Its better to keep driving west on South street until you run into a Churche’s chicken which taste better in the 1st. It is advisabe not to come here in the evening since they will be out of stock. The KFC on beach /orangethorpe closed so your alternative(which ia a lot better) is valley view /lincoln or the walk in on artesia and carmenita. The only way to win at this one is not to go. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Kfc is ok… I like chicken from other places better… only thing I really get here is one of those famous bowls w the corn n stuff. Hahaha. those are quick n decent. if I get chicken from here, I usually get the extra tasty crispy. Good crunch on the outside. More flavor. Service here is pretty cool. What else can I say? Its kfc. Hehehe
