First they messed up my order twice by giving me two wrong drinks and then I waited 30 minutes for one drink that wasn’t even filled up all the way.

An open letter to the owner: My family and I go far just to try a good place recommended by our friends and family and I must say this place was a bust. Terrible!!! Management can’t manage, staff are shady and overall was plainly disappointing. On 6÷10÷16, we came in with a large group and was overcharged for things we didn’t order and stuff that didn’t come. Instead of resolving the problem, the manager for the evening started yelling at me in front of my little children when I told her that they overcharged us for things we didn’t receive. It appears that they have cctv so I suggested that they check that first to confirm, but instead continued to argue with us. There were several servers coming and going and she wasn’t even the one serving us but yet she was adamant that the order was correct(but later had to eat her words when she counted the plates –which could still be wrong because we asked for extra empty plates for us to use to begin with). They not only overcharged us, they also fraudulently altered a signed copy of my receipt(which I intend to contest). Totally not standing with what they published as their«story,» this place has no honor nor respect to speak of so I think they should remove that part of «their story» until they teach their staff what that means… I have no reason to lie and I even suggested ways they can confirm to check, but they stood by not doing anything until they shot themselves in the foot and confirmed there were 2 plates missing… We told them that we also didn’t receive an order… but the all knowing manager who wasn’t even there to deliver was adamant about us receiving it when we didn’t. We just know not to come here or recommend this place ever.

Came here with a few friends since I was in the area and wanted to see what all the rave was about. It’s a nice place with a cool vibe/interior. We didn’t sit down or order any food since we had some place to go, but I got the almond milk tea, while my friends got a slushy and the honeydew milk tea. I really enjoyed how the milk tea came in bottles and with crushed ice to make sure it was super cold. Not too different from any other boba place aside from the factors stated. I thought the milk teas were pretty average and the slushy too sweet for my liking, but it’s definitely a place to try out if you’re in the area.

I love cha2o because of their coconut milk tea. Anything with coconut is my favorite! Pretty much the only reason I come here! I usually come before or after the rush, so the wait isn’t long. Usually served by Kaylene. She’s a great server, and very friendly! Drinks are usually good. I don’t order the food much. The popcorn chicken is pretty good. The Velvet by Night, was amazing! If it has chocolate and strawberries I’m all for it! Just ask for the ice cream on the side so it doesn’t melt right away. That’s pretty much all the food that I’ve tried here that I can remember. The only down side is the parking. That’s about it!

Good prices but we had to ask for clean dish ware and utensils twice. My pet peeve too is menu typos, many on theirs. We had good service and a nice friendly waitress named Abigail. We had the Singapore noodles with chicken. It was good, the noodles chewy, but the onion pieces were undercooked and we had some outer skin slices. Again, please pay attention to details. For $ 3.50 you get A LOT of popcorn chicken! Good spicy seasoning, sauce not needed Cha2O is a cool, hip looking place, dark walls with loud music, and mesmerizing color-changing ceiling lamps. It looked like karaōke rooms would be on the other side of the entrance. I don’t like Asian drinks but they seem popular here. My friends liked their Bobas, and Vietnamese coffee. No fountain drinks, I know it’s an Asian place but some people want soda. There is plenty of parking as it’s situated in a strip mall. This place is out of the way. I would come back if I were in the area but I hope the dishes and silverware are clean next time.

This place is really nice and upbeat with super loud music. There was no line so I ordered right away and literally within one minute my drink was ready. I got the standard size almond milk tea with boba and it was $ 4 exactly. The drink itself was really good and the boba was fresh and warm! I would definitely come here again if I lived closer.

Honestly I love Cha, but tonight was really disappointing. It was around 12.40 at night when I called to ask when their kitchen closed, they said that the kitchen was open utility 1.30am. Me and my boyfriend showed up at 1.00am give or take a few minutes and they sat a couple ahead of us, and when it was our turn to be seated they said that they couldn’t. I asked why and the server Manny said that they sat the last couple for the night because they were«understaffed.» I could clearly see that there were people sitting everywhere and I wish they would have told me they would not be seating anymore people when I called. It’s really frustrating making a drive out to somewhere and being refused a table when there is a half hour left of the kitchen being open. Oh well, we just went to Guppys down the street GREATSERVICE btw(: give them a try sometime.

Seperate Dine-in hall and togo counter. So don’t mess up with people. The music is pretty much loud, so they have speaker to call the order number that customer let to pick up their order. I came with my wife and ordered 2 dishes and 1 beverage. The foods and beverage were quite great. But they missed out one of our order so that we should have to wait for about 35 ish more minutes to get it. We get it for free tho. Noisy loud music playing. Don’t worry. you’re able to talk with the person next to you. Location: In a plaza. Seats: seats where inside and outside available. Spot for Hang out with friends or dating

This is one of those places that I have to visit when I’m in the area. Love their Thai tea with boba, Mango 101 and popcorn chicken. Parking is not that bad depending on what day you go there. I am glad that I don’t like close by or else I will be here 7 days a week.

I got the green milk tea. I also got the Thai calamari. The Thai calamari was bomb! I like boba spots that offer food, too. And my green milk tea was good! The music here was pretty loud, so I sat outside. It’s funny how they have loud speakers to call out your order number. Lol. It’s cool that there is a lot of seating outside. I like that there is also an option to dine in, too. I also like that they’re open until 2am. :) This spot is definitely different with an interesting concept — it has a club feel with boba and yummy food! I didn’t have issues with the service, BUT I was kind of turned off when I used my credit card and they were making me sign their copy of the receipt with a PENCIL. They could hella erase what I have on the receipt and steal my money. I should’ve said something, but I was like, ehh, they’re a boba place. What can they do. But I regret now not saying anything…

Every other review about the poor service is spot on. Even sitting here at 8pm it is empty but the service is lacking. Expect to wait a while when it gets to midnight to be seated, we waited 5 mins to get seated during dead hours However people don’t write about the very diverse and large delicious menu Cha2O offers, I was seriously impressed by their savory menu and their large desert selection. They have lots of taiwanese deserts like shaved ice /the boba drinks but also good savory traditional dishes like Hot pot(new on the menu) and asian-fusion dishes like popcorn chicken and pineapple fried rice . Moving on to the food we ordered, the chicken wontons weren’t that great, very salty, bland and too much chicken with no other vegetables in it. The hot pot wasn’t the best I’ve had, however for the price $ 10 for a pot that can feed 2; I’m not surprised for the beef that was used, it’s slightly fatty, chewy and thick however it was still delicious. It comes with chinese cabbage and glass noodles. The saigon sliders my BF ordered were good, came with pork, chicken and berf and the fries were dressed in ketchup and mayo and they were delicious. The honeymoon smoothie was amazing, the honeydew flavor with jelly and boba was super tasty and they are famous for their drinks here. The interior here is very modern and clean, I love the changing lights, the lounging vibe and the cool spacious layout All in all, the check came up to $ 28 or so– very cheap for an appetiser, drink and 2 main dishes — wouldn’t go out my way to come here, but I would stop by again if I were in the area. Interesting selection and affordable dining.

Cha2o is a hipster place in cerritos area. Its gets crowded at times especially at night. Their food is ok, i got the bacon fried rice and it was a little dry. Im not too impressed with their food. The drinks on the other hand are pretty impressive. They have a lot of choices from milk teas, to smoothies etc. i would recommend going for the fruity slushies. Oh, and they charge you $ 3 per head if you ordered your food to go and then you decide to eat the food inside the restaurant… ridiculous!!!

Ok I’ll give them a 2 star cause this time my service was ok and I do like their cheap prices on street food like popcorn chicken or squid balls. Unfortunately it’s still not the best. They do have a wide selection in drinks and some of their coffee drinks are pretty decent but with tea station next door, it’s a no brainer for me. I do enjoy a sweetee Thai on random days but it’s very rare. My hubby tried their bacon fried rice and I took a bite, not good. I would rather go to the loft for my bacon fried rice or even make it myself. Btw: don’t come here and order to go and change your mind that you want to dine in. They have these crazy signs in the front stating that if you change your mind and decide to dine in, you get a $ 3 service fee charge PER person in your party! First time ever seeing this ridiculous sign. Good luck!

This location is not as good as the Fullerton one. The service was kind of bad. No one came by to take our order until we called for their attention. Our drinks were really watered down. They didn’t taste sweet at all expect maybe a touch of sweetness from the add ons. The popcorn chicken however was pretty good! Nothing spectacular, just good. Overall, prices are always cheap! Maybe next time I’ll ask for less ice in my drinks.

Sure, Cha2o may seem exciting because of the loud music and flashy lights. Sure, the instagrams you’ve seen of this place may seem super cool. But unless you like super slow service and overpriced food, stay away. I’m not going to lie, I do enjoy their food. The shaken beef with garlic noodles is excellent. But it’s not worth the frustration. Their fruity drinks are okay but taste really syrup-y //artificial. If you want quality boba, this is definitely not the place to go. The milk tea is not a strong flavor and just doesn’t taste very authentic. It will take forever for them to take your order, bring your food out, and get you your check. If you feel like you *must* try this place out, to-go is the way to go. If you’re in this plaza anyways, might as well go to tea station for better boba or bakers and baristas for food and ambiance.

Take your pick of places in Artesia to get a refreshing drink or your boba fix. This one is reminiscent of a club in the dining area with the lighting and the music going. Service has always been friendly. They do offer samples of 4 of the milk teas: green tea, Thai tea, jasmine tea, and I forgot the other. Not a milk tea but the last drink I had here is probably the most memorable. The lycheelicious is a slushy that comes with not just lychee pieces but mango and strawberry bits too. The standard, addition of boba is $.50.

I had a friend visiting me and he asked me to take him to a place where all the cool kids go. Somewhere preferably with Asian drinks and desserts. Cha2O fit the bill so we came here. We each ordered a drink and a shaved snow. Almond Milk Tea: Very creamy, you can definitely taste the almond flavor in it. The boba was cooked just right. Pom-Pom Peach: Perhaps this was my fault, but I asked for half sweet and the result kind of tasted like a diluted cough syrup. I think that maybe this drink has to be ordered at full sweet. It looked really good in pictures :( Mango 101 snow: The mango flavor is a little on the artificial side for my taste. But otherwise it’s a good option for a light dessert. Interesting the way they shave their ice. It’s the first time I’ve run into a non-ribbon-like format for shaved snow. By the way, that was a neutral comment. Not meant to be taken in a negative way at all. Just giving fellow Unilocalers a heads-up. Leche Flan snow: The best thing I’ve had there. This was the saving grace of my trip to Cha2O. I changed the snow flavor to milk and I loved every part of this order. Couldn’t stop eating it. Brain freeze was definitely worth it. Because of this snow, I will definitely be back.

A restaurant-lounge atmosphere with a MUCH younger crowd but we were looking for a late night option and there weren’t too many options so we decided to stay(it was open til 2 am on a friday) they have food & boba drinks, YOUSHOULDSEE the large carafes of milk tea people drink to themselves, i stuck with the regular size —popcorn chicken: the plate comes with a lot of chicken and the fried crust was pretty good, definitely need to share this with other people —grilled chicken with pasta: the chicken had a good char’d flavor! —espresso milk tea: a bit too sweet for me but i needed something to keep me up for the drive home! NOTE: They also have a to-go counter if you don’t want to dine in but the food menu is limited for to-go

Really great DRINKS but the reason why I’m giving 2 stars is because of the service and food. Service — There were 4 of us. We each ordered our food and got them at completely different times. What was even more odd is that the mango salad did NOT indeed come out first but the pad see ew, followed by the tiniest banh mi sandwich I had ever seen and maybe 7 lonely french fries. The waiter, who looked more like he was one of the managers since he wasn’t wearing a uniform but business attire, was friendly but didn’t come by to really check on us often so a lot of the time we were left having to wave at other servers walking by. Now the important stuff… Food. Pad See Ew — Came out extremely fast… Like way too fast. Like it was sitting in the back waiting for someone to order it fast. My friend rated it as a 5⁄10. Mango Salad(pic) — It was prettily prepared but had way too many crunchy things going on so it ended up just being a pain to eat so it wasn’t even entirely consumed. And I hate wasting food… Banh Mi(pic) — I know the sandwich looks decently sized but you can thank my iphone photography skills for that. It was the smallest $ 6 banh mi sandwich I had ever seen next to a few sad and lonely french fries. You’re better off going to Lee’s or Banh Mi Che Cali & getting a much better portion for like half the price! Medium Spiced Beef Hot Pot(pic) — It was just ok. I probably won’t ever order it again here. Lacked flavor even with it being medium and the pot was very shallow so I lost a lot of broth rather quickly. I’d rather go to Yojie’s across the street. I definitely recommend that if you do come here, come just for the drinks because they have such an extensive menu and that’s the only thing worthwhile. Food is mediocre at best.
